Detailed Description
Fig. 1-2 are schematic views showing a candle support stand according to a first preferred embodiment of the present invention, which comprises a light-transmissive hollow cylinder 10, a candle cup 20, and a positioning member 30. The two members, namely, the candlestick 20 and the positioning member 30, are respectively provided with a magnetic attraction component, and the candlestick 20 and the positioning member 30 can be detachably combined together through the mutual attraction of magnetic force. The term "removably" as used herein means that the direct or indirect coupling between the candle cup 20 and the positioning member 30 can be released by performing an action that is opposite to the action performed when the coupling occurs, and that the coupling can be repeatedly generated and released without substantially destroying the original structure. For example, the candle holder 20 can be spatially close to the positioning member 30, and the combination of the candle holder 20 and the positioning member 30 can be achieved by the attraction of the magnetic attraction components. The candle cup 20 can then be pulled away from the keeper 30 to release the combination of the candle cup 20 and the keeper 30. The utility model discloses borrow by the detachable combination relation between candlestick 20 and the setting element 30, make candlestick 20 fix a position or adjust its position.
The light-transmissive hollow cylinder 10 is configured to extend substantially along a longitudinal direction 11 and is adapted to be disposed to stand substantially vertically on a plane, such as on a table top. The light-transmitting hollow cylinder 10 may be constructed to have any cylindrical configuration, such as a cylindrical shape, a triangular cylindrical shape and a polygonal cylindrical shape, and the wall surface of the cylinder is not necessarily completely flat, and may have local curved surface variations, such as local protrusions or depressions, to add interest and artistry to the modeling. The light-transmissive hollow cylinder 10 has two opposite ends, an upper end 12 and a lower end 13 opposite the upper end 12. The upper end portion 12 is an open end portion formed with a first opening 14. The lower end 13 may be an open or closed end. The upper end 12 and the lower end 13 define a hollow interior 15 therebetween in communication with the first opening 14 for receiving a candle cup 20. In the preferred embodiment, the lower end 13 is also an open end, forming a second opening 16, and the first opening 14 and the second opening 16 are in communication with each other through the hollow interior 15, such that when the candle holder of the present application is in use, air can flow from the second opening 16 into the hollow interior 15 and then exit through the first opening 14. The lower end 13 is not necessarily constructed to have a completely straight edge as long as the light-transmitting hollow cylinder 10 can be erected to extend substantially along the longitudinal direction 11 completely or partially depending on the lower end 13. The light-transmitting hollow cylinder 10 may be additionally provided with auxiliary supports, such as a base or legs, to assist stable erection thereof. The light-transmitting hollow cylinder 10 is made of a light-transmitting refractory material. The term "light transmissive" as used herein is meant to encompass transparent and translucent in the sense that at least a portion of visible light (having a wavelength in the range of about 400 to about 700 nm) is allowed to radiate from the hollow interior 15 through the light transmissive hollow cylinder 10. Light-transmitting refractory materials suitable for use in the present invention include, but are not limited to, glass, quartz, refractory plastics. The surface of the light-transmissive hollow cylinder 10 may be treated, for example, by being atomized or patterned, to add interest and artistic quality to the modeling, and to further change the emitted light.
The candle cup 20 is sized to be received within the hollow interior 15 and is configured for placement of a tea candle. The term "tea candle" as used herein refers to a candle contained in a small cup-shaped container made of metal, glass or plastic. Tea candles typically have a low aspect ratio, for example having a diameter of 1.5 inches and a height of 0.75 inches. The candle cup 20 may be constructed with a platform that allows the candle to lie flat, or as shown in fig. 1-2, as a cylindrical block and defining a generally disc-shaped recess 23 for receiving the candle. The candle cup 20 has a protrusion 21 extending outwardly therefrom, preferably the protrusion 21 extending radially therefrom, and the protrusion 21 is provided with a first magnetic attraction member 22 comprising a permanent magnet or a block made of a magnetically active material. The permanent magnet refers to an object that can continuously generate a magnetic field in the absence of an external magnetic field and an electric field, and includes, but is not limited to, natural magnetite, ferrite, and alnico magnets. The magnetically active material is any material that can be attracted by the permanent magnets, and includes, but is not limited to, ferromagnetic materials such as iron, cobalt, and nickel, and ferrimagnetic materials such as magnetite, and ferrite. The candle cup 20 is typically made of a material that is not magnetically active, including, but not limited to, wood, glass, ceramic, and plastic.
The positioning member 30 is adapted to removably position the candle cup 20 within the hollow interior 15. The positioning member 30 is provided with a second magnetic attraction member 32 that attracts the first magnetic attraction member 22. Thus, the second magnetic assembly 32 comprises a permanent magnet or a block made of magnetically active material as defined above. For example, when the first magnetic element 22 comprises a permanent magnet, the second magnetic element 32 may comprise a permanent magnet having a magnetic polarity opposite to that of the first magnetic element 22, or may comprise a magnetically active block capable of being attracted by the first magnetic element 22. In the preferred embodiment, the positioning member 30 is complementary in configuration to the projection 21. In a first preferred embodiment shown in fig. 1-2, the positioning member 30 is configured as an elongated block adapted to be disposed to extend substantially along the longitudinal direction 11. The second magnetic attraction component 32 is two permanent magnets embedded in the positioning member 30. In this case, the projection 21 has an elongated surface adapted to extend substantially along the longitudinal direction 11 and complementary in configuration to the positioning member 30. The first magnetic component 22 is two permanent magnets embedded in the protrusion 21 and exposed from the long surface.
In use, as shown in fig. 2, the transparent hollow cylinder 10 can be erected on a stable surface, the positioning member 30 is attached to the outer surface of the transparent hollow cylinder 10, and the second magnetic attraction member 32 faces the transparent hollow cylinder 10. Subsequently, the candle cup 20 is placed in the hollow interior 15, and the first magnetic attraction member 22 is subjected to the magnetic attraction force of the second magnetic attraction member, so that the candle cup 20 is attached to the inner surface of the light-transmissive hollow cylinder 10. Thus, the present tea candle holder is assembled and the tea candle can be burned at the height at which the candle cup 20 is positioned and the emitted candle light is emitted outwardly through the light transmissive hollow column 10. If it is desired to adjust the relative position of the candle cup 20 within the light-transmissive hollow column 10, i.e., the height of the candle light, the candle cup 20 and the positioning member 30 can be spatially moved away from each other, thereby disengaging the candle cup 20 from the positioning member 30. After the position of the positioning member 30 is adjusted, the magnetic combination between the candle holder 20 and the positioning member 30 is established again by the mutual attraction between the first magnetic assembly 22 and the second magnetic assembly 32.
Fig. 3-5 are schematic views illustrating a second preferred embodiment of the present invention. In this example, the light-transmissive hollow column 10 and the candle cup 20 are substantially similar to the first preferred embodiment, but the positioning member 30 is configured to have an elongated second magnetic attraction member 32 adapted to be disposed along the longitudinal direction 11 from the upper end portion 12 to a position close to the lower end portion 13, so as to allow the candle cup 20 to slide along the second magnetic attraction member 32 by the magnetic attraction force between the first magnetic attraction member 22 and the second magnetic attraction member 32 when being subjected to an external force, such as being pushed by a finger of a user, and to be detachably positioned in the hollow interior 15. In a more preferred embodiment, as shown in fig. 5, the positioning member 30 is formed with a hook 33 at one end thereof adapted to couple with the first opening 14. When the light-transmissive hollow cylinder 10 stands on a stable surface, the positioning member 30 can be suspended from the edge of the first opening 14 by the hook 33, such that the second magnetic attraction component 32 is configured to extend along the longitudinal direction 11. The first opening 14 is not necessarily constructed to have a completely straight edge as long as it can allow the hook portion 33 to be coupled thereto. It is noted that the positioning member 30 can be suspended such that the second magnetic attraction member 32 is located inside (i.e. located in the hollow interior 15) or outside the light-transmissive hollow cylinder 10, as long as it can be magnetically coupled with the first magnetic attraction member 22. In a more preferred embodiment, the positioning member 30 is integrally formed from a magnetically active material as defined above, such as iron, by a standard metal forging and/or stamping process, wherein one end of the positioning member 30 is bent to form the hook portion 33. In a more preferred embodiment, the second magnetic attraction member 32 is bent into two parallel side walls 34 at two sides along the longitudinal direction 11 in a direction opposite to the bending direction of the hook portion 33, so as to define a groove 35 between the two side walls 34. The recess 35 is complementary in configuration to the projection 21 of the candle cup 20 such that the projection 21 is adapted to engage the recess 35 and such that the first magnetic assembly 22 located on the projection 21 is adapted to attract the second magnetic assembly 32. In this case, the positioning member 30 can be suspended such that the second magnetic assembly 32 is located in the hollow interior 15 to allow the candle cup 20 to directly contact with the positioning member 30 and achieve magnetic coupling, and when the candle cup 20 is pushed by an external force, the candle cup 20 can slide along the second magnetic assembly 32 by the magnetic attraction between the first magnetic assembly 22 and the second magnetic assembly 32, and the engagement relationship between the protrusion 21 and the groove 35 can prevent the candle cup 20 from falling or tilting.
In use, the light-transmitting hollow column 10 can be erected on a stable surface to combine the candle holder 20 with the positioning member 30. After the tea candle on the candle cup 20 is lit, the hook portion 33 is hung from the edge of the first opening 14 so that the candle cup 20 is located in the hollow interior 15. Thus, the present tea candle holder is assembled and the tea candle can be burned at the height at which the candle cup 20 is positioned and the emitted candle light is emitted outwardly through the light transmissive hollow column 10. If it is desired to adjust the relative position of the candle holder 20 on the light-transmissive hollow column 10, i.e., the height of the candle light, the hook 33 can be disengaged from the first opening 14, and the positioning member 30 with the candle holder 20 attached thereto can be removed. The candle cup 20 is pushed by fingers to slide along the second magnetic assembly 32 to reach a desired position. The hook 33 is then re-hung from the edge of the first opening 14 so that the candle cup 20 is located within the hollow interior 15.
Based on the above disclosure, one skilled in the art can easily imagine that the light-transmissive hollow cylinder 10 can accommodate two or more candlesticks 20. Fig. 6 is a schematic view showing a transparent hollow cylinder 10 accommodating two or more candlesticks 20, each of the candlesticks 20 being combined with a positioning member 30 according to a third preferred embodiment of the present invention. In this case, the candle holder 20 can be set at different heights according to the preference of the user, thereby increasing the interest and the artistic quality.
