The top plate 61 of the handle 60 extends rearward with a pair of protruding pieces 613, and the pair of assembling walls 161 block the pair of protruding pieces 613. The mounting structure 16 thereby limits the forward, rearward and upward displacement of the handle 60.
Additionally, as shown in fig. 1, two upper positioning plates 152 of the present embodiment are respectively located between the two sidewalls 14 and the mounting structure 16, and one side of the upper positioning plate 152 is connected to the mounting structure 16. More specifically, the upper positioning plate 152 is spaced apart from the top wall 12a, so as to form a first limit groove 1520 (shown in fig. 8) between the upper positioning plate 152 and the top wall 12a for inserting the upper wall 912 of the housing 91 of the receptacle connector 9. The side positioning plate 154 is spaced apart from the side wall 14, so as to form a second limiting groove 1540 (as shown in fig. 8) between the side positioning plate 154 and the side wall 14 for inserting the side wall 914 of the housing 91 of the receptacle connector 9. In addition, one side of the upper positioning plate 152 is attached to the rear end of the assembly wall 161 of the mounting structure 16, and the other side of the upper positioning plate 152 is attached to the top edge of the side positioning plate 154. A limiting portion 156 is formed between the upper positioning plate 152 and the mounting structure 16 to guide the plug connector 1 to mate with the receptacle connector 9.
Referring to fig. 1, 5 and 6, the flat cable type terminal set 30 of the present embodiment includes a first flat cable 30a, a second flat cable 30b and a reinforcing plate 30 c. The first flat cable 30a and the second flat cable 30b each have a plurality of conductors 33 exposed at the front end of the insulation base 10. The first and second flat cables 30a and 30b may have the same number of conductors 33 and the same structure, but the present invention is not limited thereto. The first flat cable 30a and the second flat cable 30b may have a different number of conductors or a different structure. The reinforcing plate 30c is clamped between the first flat cable 30a and the second flat cable 30b, and the rear end of the reinforcing plate 30c is close to the front end of the auxiliary retaining housing 20.
As shown in fig. 1 and 4, the present invention is also characterized in that the protection member 40 is clamped on the front edge of the reinforcing plate 30c, and the top surface and the bottom surface of the protection member 40 respectively exceed the plurality of conductors 33 of the first flat cable 30a and the plurality of conductors 33 of the second flat cable 30 b. The protection member 40 of the present embodiment is preferably made of an insulating material, and covers the front end portions of the plurality of conductors 33.
Please refer to fig. 3C, which is a perspective view of the plug connector assembly 1 and the receptacle connector 9 of the present invention. When the plug connector 1 with the plugging positioning structure of the present invention is inserted into the socket connector 9 along the plugging direction (as shown by the dotted line in fig. 3C), the positioning structure 15 provides guiding and positioning functions. The receptacle connector 9 has a housing 91 and two rows of terminals 92, and two sidewalls 914 of the housing 91 respectively form a positioning recess 9140. The positioning structure 15 of the plug connector 1 is generally L-shaped, and one side of the positioning structure can be guided and positioned during the plugging process to be plugged correctly. When the plug connector assembly 1 is inserted into the receptacle connector 9, the L-shaped positioning structures 15 on the two sides can abut against the upper corners of the two sides of the shell 91 of the receptacle connector 9, and the positioning structures 15 can prevent the user from shifting during the plugging action, thereby preventing the middle tongue plate of the plug connector 1 from being cracked and damaged by the metal shell 91 of the receptacle connector 9. Thereby, the tongue plate in the middle of the plug connector assembly 1 can be accurately butted against the terminal 92 of the receptacle connector 9.
In addition, during the process of inserting the plug connector assembly 1 into the receptacle connector 9, the protection member 40 of the present embodiment can protect the conductors 33 of the flat cable type terminal set 30 from being damaged by directly scraping the terminals of the receptacle connector 9. On the other hand, if the user's plugging action is not precisely in place, the protection member 40 of the present embodiment can also protect the flat cable to prevent the flat cable from being cracked and damaged by the metal shell of the receptacle connector.
Referring to fig. 1, 4 and 6, the protection member 40 of the present embodiment may be combined with the reinforcing plate 30c by in-mold injection (insert molding). The flat cable type terminal set 30 is assembled, then the flat cable type terminal set 30 is placed in a mold (not shown), and then an insulating material is injected into the mold to form the protection member 40. However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and the protection member 40 may be bonded to the reinforcing plate 30c by adhesion, for example. Specifically, the protection member 40 includes a front guide portion 41 and a pair of protection walls 42, the protection walls 42 are connected to the upper and lower sides of the front guide portion 41 to form a slit 420, and the upper and lower surfaces of the front guide portion 41 may also form guide slopes. In addition, in the reinforcing plate 30c of the present embodiment, in order to reinforce the combination force with the protection member 40, referring to fig. 4, a protruding piece 321 protrudes from each side of the front edge of the main plate 32, and a recess 322 is formed between the two protruding pieces 321. Further, the main plate body 32 has a plurality of connection holes 323 formed along the front end edge. Thereby, the plastic of the protector 40 is more engaged with the reinforcing plate 30c in the process of injection molding the protector 40.
Please refer to fig. 1, 5 to 6. As shown in fig. 6, in the present embodiment, the first flat cable 30a and the second flat cable 30b respectively have a carrier layer 31 and an outer shielding layer 35. The carrier layer 31 is made of an insulating material to cover the plurality of conductors 33. One of the features of this embodiment is that an inner shielding layer 34 is provided between the plurality of conductors 33 of the first flat cable 30a and the top surface of the reinforcing plate 30c and between the plurality of conductors 33 of the second flat cable 30b and the bottom surface of the reinforcing plate 30 c.
