参考图1和图2，示出了手持器具10的示例。该器具具有手柄210和用于将头发造型的附件20。为了使用户能够做出不同的造型并赋予器具多种功能，附件20是可拆卸的，并且可以用可替代的附件更换。此外，可以移除附件20，以便在不使用时更容易存储器具。手柄210包括使得用户能够在多个不同的加热和流量设置之间进行选择的多个不同的用户操作按钮38,138。手柄210包括PCB 90、风扇单元70以及加热器80，风扇单元包括风扇和电动机，在使用中，风扇单元70通过流体入口212抽吸入流体，流体经过PCB90，被抽吸通过风扇单元70并且通过加热器80，加热器80可选地加热流体，所述流体随后由附件20中的流体出口22发出。

电动机电缆150从PCB 90延伸到电动机70的下游端70b，在电动机70的下游端70b，电动机电缆150连接到电动机触点(未示出)。在该实施例中，加热器布线140,142,144和电动机电缆150在电动机70的长度上分开，并且电动机电缆150经由位于PCB 90的相邻侧上的端子152连接到PCB 90。加热器电源140沿着PCB 90的远侧方便地布线，因此用于加热器80和电动机70的电源沿其长度在直径方向设置。
通道110沿内壁220纵向延伸，它们不一定是连续的，因为这将妨碍组装，它们足够长以保持有关的导线，使得导线不会从通道中出来，并且不同的导线不会交叉。在该实施例中，外壁200紧密地配合在内壁220上，因此如果导线不与内壁220的外表面220a齐平，则在组装器具10期间外壁200将不会在内壁220上滑动。
除了用于保持导线的通道110之外，还提供支柱120以将布线保持在正确的位置。支柱120与通道110正交，因此支柱120部分地围绕内壁220的外周延伸。相反，通道沿着内壁220的外周部分延伸。支柱120实现与通道110相同的效果，即将布线保持在所需位置中。
