低压带互感器的电能表主要安装于配电箱的配变终端和大功率用户之间，在安装过程中要用到电能计量联合接线盒，而接线盒与电能表的连接，根据技术标准，接线盒与电能表的电压线用2.5平方单芯塑铜线，电流线用4平方，还要分相色（黄、绿、红、蓝），接线数量多（共10根线），安装繁琐，暨耗时又费力，同时还可能会发生错接线的情况，导致计量不准确或其他安全事故的发生。
