一种下巴托架主要包括U形托、支撑杆和底板。U形托采用塑料或金属材料制作，外包面料，面料采用布或皮料。U形托和底板通过支撑杆相连。支撑杆包括活动杆、固定管形杆、高度定位螺母和高度定位螺杆。活动杆上端固定在U形托下面，固定管形杆下端固定在底板的中心。活动杆插入固定管形杆内。高度定位螺母固定于固定管形杆的中段。靠高度定位螺杆拧入固定管形杆内压紧活动杆而调整高度。高度定位螺杆带有手柄。
 该下巴托架能使颈椎保持正常位置而不特别弯曲，有利于身体健康。若在U形托上垫上保温布料还可防寒保暧。该下巴托架适合长期坐在台前的人员使用；也适合于医用，作矫正颈椎之用；还适合残疾人喝水使用，将水杯置于该托架的前方，用吸管吸水，方便定位。
