使用时，当把高温奶倒入内胆时，奶水的热量会传导给石蜡，石蜡会融化,在很短的时间里，奶水就可以降到婴儿可以饮用的温度，并且由于融化的石蜡凝固时放出大量的热，这样就会使奶水温度一直维持很长时间。
