 采用硬化池塘养殖水蛭时，水蛭需要附着在一些物体上，一般养殖中采用水草、瓦片作为水蛭附着基，由于水草易腐烂变质败坏水质，瓦片沉在水底附着面积小，限制了单位水体水蛭养殖的数量，使水蛭养成率低。
