本实用新型中工作部的端面对角线长度长于工件槽宽，最好比工件的槽内宽度长出1.5mm。
本实用新型是这样使用的：当需要在工件的槽内划一条中线时，将工具的工作部的端面3置入槽内，使工作部的端面3的两个对角接触槽壁，工作部端面3中心的尖锐凸起4与槽内底面接触，沿槽内移动工具，就可以划出槽的中线。
