经科研人员研究发现，壳聚糖纤维具有以下性能：1、强力抗菌和抑菌功能；2、防治脚气；3、超强吸汗、除臭功能；4、抗静电功能；5、防辐射功能；6、护理皮肤，对过敏性皮肤具有辅助治疗功能，可以促进皮肤再生；7、优良的吸湿保温功能；8、较好的可纺性；9、可生物降解，具有对环境的保护功能。

所述由壳聚糖纤维与长绒棉混纺的纱线中，壳聚糖纤维的含量占10％。 
本实用新型所述的保健功能袜不区分性别、穿着者的年龄段和样式，即：只要是采用上述的技术方案生产的袜子均在本实用新型的保护范围内。
