采用以上结构后，本实用新型具有以下优点：由于本实用新型的防风门挡呈C形，且门挡本体上设有用于容置门板边沿的凹槽。使用时，可以将门挡夹持在门板边沿上。这样，门挡可以挡住门的边沿，防止风大时发生碰撞对门的破坏，同时防止小孩被锁在房内。也可以防止小孩的手被关上的门夹住，更加安全。
