目前立体字制作方面，金属边条，尤其是铝边条在焊接时容易产生变形不能满足产品的工艺要求，而且使用铝皮结构则需要内衬结构，工艺程序多，加工较为复杂，加工时间长；目前，浇注字的制作由于要铺设树脂层，加工不方便，而且在空心字体正面树脂层周围暴露的是边条截面和玻璃纤维树脂层，影响美观。

本实用新型是通过以下技术方案实现的：一种金属边条，其特征在于：所述金属边条具有内折边，外折边，内折边和外折边分别设置在金属边条的两端，三者呈Z形分布；金属边条的下方设置下折边，所述下折边与内折边在金属边条的同一侧。

具体实施方式
实施例1，如图4，金属边条1采用铝板，镀锌板或不锈钢板，金属边条1外表面可以是金属本色，或在金属边条1外表面设涂层。所述金属边条具有内折边2，外折边3，内折边2和外折边3分别设置在金属边条的两端，三者呈Z形分布；金属边条1的下方设置下折边4，所述下折边4与内折边2在金属边条的同一侧。将内外折边咬合搭接，形成封闭边条，在制作标识或字体时，封闭的笔划一般只有一个接口。 
将上述封闭边条放在光滑模板上，下折边4与模板接触放置，将液态树脂浇入封闭边条内，将下折边4包裹在其中，干燥后，树脂层与边条1连成一体，连接牢固。
