如图1，一种新型LED抽屉灯，在灯具本体上设有LED灯、用于检测抽屉状态的传感器和用于保护LED灯的灯罩，灯具本体内设有为LED灯供电的电池。LED灯为多个。LED灯和灯罩设置在灯具本体的上表面传感器，传感器设置在灯具本体的侧面。传感器为反射式光电传感器。
作为进一步改进，在灯具本体内还设有定时器，控制LED灯亮15秒后自动熄灭，其作用是，当传感器失效时，可以自动熄灭LED灯，以节约电池中的电能。
新型LED抽屉灯通过3M胶或螺丝固定在抽屉内。反射式光电传感器用于感知抽屉是否打开，在灯具本体设有控制电路和驱动电路，通过反射式光电传感器的信号来控制LED灯的点亮或关闭，属于现有的成熟技术。
工作原理说明：打开抽屉，反射式光电传感器给出一个LED灯点亮信号，通过驱动电路将LED灯点亮，关上抽屉后，反射式光电传感器给出一个LED灯关断的信号，通过驱动电路控制LED灯熄灭。
