当需要向热水瓶内加注热水时，根据热水出水管与热水瓶瓶口的距离，将拉伸口2拉出，使瓶口的拉伸口2上部与热水出水管相接；倒水时，如热水瓶内水过满，也可将拉伸口2拉出，这样可以避免热水不能安全准确的倒进待装的容器内。本实用新型结构简单、使用安全方便，在装水及倒水的过程中可有效防止热水外溢、飞溅，避免烫伤，同时由于瓶口的拉伸口2作用，热水瓶内胆的开口不再与外界持平，还能提高热水瓶的保温性能。
