如图1所示，该安全垃圾桶包括桶体，该桶体由上筒体1、下接液桶5两部分活动连接而成。
上筒体1内底部设有一滤网2，滤网2能将固体垃圾与液体垃圾分开，液体垃圾积存于下接液桶内。
上筒体1上设有垃圾入口6、一烟头入口4。与该烟头入口4对应在上筒体内设一独立的烟头通道3与下接液桶5连通。
使用时，其他垃圾由垃圾入口6放入垃圾桶，烟头由烟头入口4经烟头通道3到达下接液桶内的液体中，即可被熄灭，从而有效的解决了烟头易引燃垃圾的问题。
