按摩是在人体表进行的一种保健理疗方法，按摩直接作用于人体表面的特殊部位，所产生的刺激信息通过反射方式对人体的神经体液调整功能施以影响，最终通过神经系统调节，体液循环调节，以及筋络穴位的传递效应，达到舒筋活骨，消除疲劳，防治疾病，从而提高和改善人体的生理机能。中药药物可通过人体皮肤的渗透和吸收进入血液循环而发挥药效，从而达到治疗疾病的目的。因此中药和按摩结合起来进行按摩，那治疗效果将更加地明显，但目前中药按摩包只是简单地用纱布来包裹，使用不便。
