使用时，当水箱1中的水位下降，浮球2也随之下降，通过连杆8与上方的触点开关3接触，使电路闭合，电磁铁4吸住衔铁5，拉杆10将水封球6抬起，水从水管7中流出注入水箱1，使水箱1的水位上升，浮球2使连杆8脱离触点开关3，断开电路，停止注水。
