Abstract

一种电连接器,包括绝缘壳体和导电端子,绝缘壳体具有一前端和后端,该前端具有插接面,该后端具有与插接面相对设置的背部端面,该插接面上区隔地设有向背部端面延伸的第一插孔区和第二插孔区,绝缘壳体在第一插孔区和第二插孔区中的一个靠近区隔位置处设有一个防呆槽,由于电连接器仅设一个防呆槽,可大大减少电连接器体积,从而将占用更少基板空间。

【技术领域】
本实用新型涉及一种电连接器,特别是指一种可同时传递电源及电子讯号的电连接器。
【背景技术】
中国专利公告第2541966号揭示了一种现有的Serial ATA规格所定的电连接器,其应用在一电路板上,并可同时具有传递电源以及电子讯号的功能。该电连接器包括有一绝缘本体以及复数个穿置于绝缘本体内的导电端子。绝缘本体具有前端和后端,前端为与一设置在小型硬碟上的相匹配电连接器接合的插接面,后端为平行插接面的背部端面。其中,插接面上区隔地设有向背部端面方向延伸的电源插孔区和讯号插孔区,并且在电源插孔区和讯号插孔区靠近中间的区隔位置处各设有一与各自插孔区相连通的防呆槽,以与硬碟上相匹配电连接器上对应的结构配合,起到防止误插的功能。其他类型的Serial ATA规格的电连接器一般均设有两个防呆槽,相关专利请参考中国台湾专利公告第257195号、第271277号、第300879号、第307889号以及第551631号。
在目前电连接器小型化的驱动下,尤其要求电连接器绝缘本体横向尺寸要求更短,以占用更少基板空间之需求驱动下,现有电连接器在绝缘本体上设计有两个防呆槽,无疑将占用很多基板空间,如此将难匹配客户端所定之基板空间。
基于所述的现有技术,确有必要对现有的电连接器进行改进。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型所要解决的技术问题为:提供一种体积小且占用基板空间小的电连接器。
为解决上述技术问题,本实用新型所采用的一种技术方案为:一种电连接器,其包括绝缘壳体和导电端子,绝缘壳体具有一前端和后端,该前端具有插接面,该后端具有与插接面相对设置的背部端面,该插接面上区隔地设有向背部端面延伸的第一插孔区和第二插孔区,绝缘壳体在第一插孔区和第二插孔区中的一个靠近区隔位置处设有一个防呆槽。
与现有技术相比,上述技术方案中由于所述电连接器仅设有一个防呆槽,可大大减少电连接器的体积,从而将占用更少基板空间。

【具体实施方式】
请参阅图1至图4,本实用新型的电连接器一较佳实施例是包括一绝缘壳体10和复数根导电端子20。该电连接器则可电性连接于一电路板(未图示),并可供设置在一小型硬碟上的一相匹配电连接器(未图示)插接。
绝缘壳体10呈扁长形,具有一长向及与长向垂直的短向,插接面101沿长向位于绝缘壳体的前端,而位于绝缘本体的后端则形成一与插接面101相反方向并与插接面101呈平行的背部端面103,另形成在绝缘壳体接插面101和背部端面103之间且与背部端面103及接插面01垂直相接的底部端面105。其中,在接插面101上区隔地设有向背部端面103延伸的电源插孔区11和讯号插孔区13。其中,电源插孔区11和讯号插孔区13各自由四壁所围成。复数端子收容槽100也从插接面101向绝缘本体的背部端面103延伸,并各自与电源插孔区11和讯号插孔区13相互连通,并且端子收容槽100是设在四壁中的一壁靠近绝缘壳体10的底部端面105处。在本实施例中,仅在讯号插孔区13一侧靠近区隔位置处设有一个防呆槽15,且防呆槽15与讯号插孔区13相互连通,并形成一L型截面的收容空间。由于上述绝缘壳体10容置预定数目导电端子空间不能减少,故在绝缘壳体10上仅设计一个防呆槽的结构可大大缩短电连接器绝缘壳体10的横向尺寸,这样的绝缘本体体积更小,占设更少的电路板空间,如此符合客户端所限定的有限电路板空间。此外,在绝缘壳体10两相对侧靠近插接面101一侧设有一对凸伸出插接面101的定位柱16,供与相匹配电连接器的对应元件配合而起到将两者定位的作用。这里,定位柱16的尺寸也很小,请参见参见图4,定位柱16从侧面视图看,仅占据绝缘本体10纵向高度不到二分之一,如此定位柱16在绝缘壳体10上所占设的横向尺寸也小,故也在一定程度上缩短电连接器绝缘壳体10占设电路板空间。
另外,在绝缘壳体10两相对侧较绝缘壳体的接插面101更靠近背部端面103处设有一对凸耳18,该对凸耳18的底面07即为与电路板接触的接合面。请具体参见图4,绝缘壳体10底部端面105与凸耳的接合面107在纵向方向上是有一定落差的,因此,绝缘壳体10相对凸耳18是下沉式的。此外,在每一凸耳18上设有可将电连接器锁固到电路板的锁固组件19,锁固组件一般包括凹设在凸耳上呈U型的凹槽以及嵌入至凹槽的锁定螺母。
上述描述的是本实用新型的较佳实施例,当然并不限于此。例如,在其他一些实施例中,这个防呆槽可能仅设在电源插孔区一侧靠近区隔位置处。

Claims (10)

1.一种电连接器,其包括绝缘壳体和导电端子,绝缘壳体具有一前端和后端,该前端具有插接面,该后端具有与插接面相对设置的背部端面,该插接面上区隔地设有向背部端面延伸的第一插孔区和第二插孔区,其特征在于:绝缘壳体在第一插孔区和第二插孔区中的一个靠近区隔位置处设有一个防呆槽。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:第一插孔区和第二插孔区分别为电源插孔区和讯号插孔区,该防呆槽设置在讯号插孔区内靠近区隔位置处。
3.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:该防呆槽与讯号插孔区相互连通。
4.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:该电连接器还具有接合面,绝缘壳体包括形成在插接面与背部端面之间且与插接面及背部端面垂直相接的底部端面,绝缘壳体的底部端面与该接合面在纵向方向上有落差。
5.如权利要求4所述的电连接器,其特征在于:该电连接器包括设置绝缘壳体两相对侧的一对凸耳,该对凸耳设有该接合面。
6.如权利要求5所述的电连接器,其特征在于:该对凸耳后端突出于绝缘壳体的背部端面,该对凸耳的顶面突出于绝缘壳体的顶面。
7.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:在绝缘本体两相对侧凸伸出插接面设有一对定位柱。
8.如权利要求7所述的电连接器,其特征在于:定位柱的纵向高度不到绝缘本体纵向高度的二分之一。
9.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:第一插孔区与防呆槽相通,形成一L型截面的收容空间。
10.如权利要求9所述的电连接器,其特征在于:第一插孔区与第二插孔区分别有四壁围成,导电端子仅设在四壁中的一壁上。
