Sealing element for ink box of ink-jet printer
Technical Field
The invention relates to a sealing member used for an ink box of an ink-jet printer.
Background
In the micro-piezoelectric type printer ink box in the current market, the used sealing element almost only has the function of sealing the ink supply needle of the printer, and no ink box prevents the ink from flowing out from the ink outlet after being separated from the printer. If the function is needed, the valve mechanism of the ink outlet, including an elastic element and a valve core, must be added, so that the parts and components of the ink box are added, the assembly process is complicated, and the use cost of the ink box is increased.
Summary of the invention
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems or disadvantages of the conventional sealing member structure of the conventional ink cartridge. Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a seal for an ink cartridge of an ink jet printer, which seals an ink supply needle of the printer when the ink cartridge is mounted to the printer, and which prevents ink from leaking from an ink outlet when the ink cartridge is removed from the printer.
A seal for use with an ink cartridge for an ink jet printer, comprising a sealing end for sealing an ink outlet of the ink cartridge, wherein: the sealing element is cylindrical, a cylindrical cavity is arranged in the sealing element, and the diameter of the cavity is larger than that of an ink supply needle of the printer.
The sealing end of the ink outlet for sealing the ink box is a cylindrical surface, one end surface is a closed plane which can prevent ink from flowing out of the ink outlet after the ink box is separated from the printer, the other end surface is a plane with a small hole in the middle, and the small hole can seal an ink supply needle of the printer. Or,
the sealing end of the ink outlet for sealing the ink box is a sealing flange with at least one circle on a cylindrical surface, one end surface is a sealing plane which can prevent ink from flowing out of the ink outlet after the ink box is separated from the printer, and the other end surface is a plane with a small hole in the middle, and the small hole can seal an ink supply needle of the printer.
The end surface b and its closed plane or at least a part of the closed plane allowing the ink supply needle to pass through are made of elastic contractible materials, such as rubber, silica gel and other elastic materials, so that when the ink box is taken off from the printer, the part through which the ink supply needle passes through is automatically closed, and the ink is prevented from leaking from the ink outlet.
By adopting the technical scheme, the sealing element has extremely simple structure, the ink supply needle of the printer can be sealed when the ink box is installed on the printer, and the ink can be prevented from leaking from the ink outlet when the ink box is taken down from the printer.

as shown in fig. 1, which is a cross-sectional view of the sealing member, two rings of flanges 4 are provided on the cylindrical surface to seal the ink outlet 8 (fig. 2) of the ink cartridge, and 6 is an end surface b which is a closed plane through which the ink supply needle of the printer passes when the printer is installed, passes through the cavity 5, and passes through the small hole 2 in the middle of the end surface. The end face a is 3, a small hole in the middle is used for sealing an ink supply needle of the printer, the size of the small hole can seal the ink supply needle of the printer, and the diameter of the cavity 5 in the sealing member 1 is larger than the diameter of the ink supply needle of the printer. When the ink cartridge is removed from the printer, the end surface b is automatically closed again, preventing ink from leaking out of the ink outlet.
Obviously, the end surface b and its closed plane or at least a part of the closed plane allowing the ink supply needle to pass through are made of elastic contractible materials, such as rubber, silica gel and other elastic materials, so that when the ink box is taken off from the printer, the part through which the ink supply needle passes through is automatically closed, and the ink is prevented from leaking from the ink outlet.
