由于近几年外来生物舞毒蛾的侵入对常规杨树种遭到非常严重的危害,个别严重的地区杨树叶被舞毒蛾幼虫基本吃光,现有的杨树抗虫转基因植株培育技术对舞毒哦的杀虫死亡率仅在50%以上,经过多代繁殖过程中,无性系的芽变异出优良新品种,抗虫效果增加了20%以上等特别好的效果。

一种抗虫速生杨的新品种的繁殖实施方法是:将20~30厘米长,直径在1~2厘料的枝条,沾蜂蜜扦插或组织培养等方法无性繁殖。
