The application requires to be " Service Based Policyfor Mobile IP Co-location Care of Address " in the title that on April 13rd, 2004 submitted to; Application number is 60/561; 955 U.S. Provisional Application No. transfers the assignee at this and also combines as a reference.
Technical field
The present invention relates generally to block data communication, and, more particularly, relate to the radio multimedium block data communication that is used to signal and is used for the independent communication path of content delivery.
Background technology
The interconnected permission information of global network is not considered geographic distance by fast access.Fig. 1 demonstrates the global network connection rough schematic view that is commonly referred to as by the internet of reference number 20 expressions.Internet 20 is actually many networks of the different stratum levels with mutual link.Internet 20 is in IP (Internet Protocol) operation down by IETF (Internet engineering duty group) issue. The details of IP can find in the RFC (Request For Comments) 791 of IETF issue.
What be connected to internet 20 is various single networks, is called as LAN (local area network (LAN)) or WAN (wide area network) sometimes according to the network size. What shown among Fig. 1 is some this networks 22,24,26 and 28 that are connected to internet 20.
In each network 22,24,26 and 28, have to be connected to each other and the various equipment of mutual communication. For example, computer, printer and server. Each equipment has the unique hardware address that is commonly referred to as MAC (medium access control) address.Equipment with MAC Address is called as node sometimes. When node exceeds himself network service via internet 20, need distribute to this node IP address.
The distribution of IP address can be manual or automatic. For example, the manual allocation of IP address can be carried out by the network manager.More commonly used is that the IP address is distributed automatically. For example, in LAN, the IP address can be by the server-assignment that is called DHCP (Dynamic Host Control Protocol) server of the LAN that is arranged in node.In supporting the WAN of wireless technology, IP address even can automatically or remotely be distributed.
Get back among Fig. 1,, suppose that another node 32 that the node 30 in the network 22 is attempted in network 28 sends packet as an instance. Will be by IP, each packet need have source address and destination address. In the case, source address is the address of node 30 in the network 22, and this address is called as HoA (home address).Destination address is the address of node 32 in the network 28.
As other instance; When the node in the network 22 30 is attempted in the node 34 from another network 24 retrieving information; For example, in the web trustship session of node 34 as the web server, node 30 is necessary for the correct IP address that this session provides the node 34 in the network 24.
The appearance of wireless technology allows node to move on to other network from the network of their first registers. For example, with reference to Fig. 1, node 30 can be a wireless device, for example, and PDA (personal device assistant), cell phone, mobile computer, rather than forever be wiredly connected to network 22.Radio node 30 can move outside the border of its home network 22.Thus, for example, node 30 can roam into external network 26 from its home network 22.In this case, the initial HoA that distributes to node 30 no longer is applicable to node 30.Thus, target is that the packet of the HoA of node 30 may not arrive node 30.
The MIP (mobile Internet Protocol) that IETF proposes is intended to solve the node mobility problem.According to the RFC 2002 of IETF issue, no matter when leave home network 22 and roaming in one network, node is assigned to " Care-of Address ", abbreviates CoA (Care-of Address) as.RFC 2002 times, two types CoA is arranged, that is, and FA CoA (Foreign Agent Care-ofAddress) (external agent's Care-of Address) and CcoA (Co-located Care of Address) (co-located care-of address).
FA CoA is actually FA (external agent's) address, and FA is the given server of the external network that is arranged in of node 30.
CCoA distributes to the independent of node 30 by external network but only is interim address.
Under any circumstance, node 30 externally in the zone whenever, node 30 must be registered to home network 22 with CoA (FA CoA or CCoA), thus home network 22 always knows node 30 where. After the registration, CoA is stored in the routing table of being safeguarded by the specified server that is called as HA (home agent) 25 of home network 22.
Below lifting some instances describes.
Under the situation of FA CoA, suppose that node 30 roamings get in the external network 26.When arriving the zone boundary of external network 26, node receives advertisement information from the external network 26 that notice node 30 is arranged in the perimeter.According to advertisement information, node is known the address of the FA 36 of external network 26.Node 30 is registered to the HA 25 in the home network 22 with FA CoA subsequently.
When the node that is arranged in external network 26 30 when the node 34 of network 24 sends packet, for example, if know the address of the node 34 in the network 24, packet can directly be sent.Just, according to the IP in the packet, source address can be set to the HoA of node 30, and destination address can be set to the address of the node 34 in the network 24.Shown in the direction of the packet data path 38 as shown in fig. 1.
As reverse data traffic, then not direct. In the reverse data route, when the node that is arranged in network 24 34 is attempted according to IP when being arranged in the node 30 transmission packets of external network 26 now, as stated, must in packet, specify the source and destination address. In the case, source address is the IP address of node 34 in the network 24.As destination address, node 34 is only known the HoA of node 30, and does not know the FA CoA of node 30.Thus, destination address will be configured to the HoA of node 30, rather than the FA HoA of node 30.Yet; Because the FA CoA of node 30 is stored in the routing table of the HA 25 in the home network 22; So when packet arrives home network 22, the packet that HA 25 encapsulation of network 22 receive and the FA CoA of storage, and send it to the node 30 in the external network 26.Just, the packet of encapsulation utilizes FA CoA as destination address. In case external network 26 receives the packet of encapsulation, FA 36 only removes the FA CoA of encapsulation, and initial grouping is sent to mobile node 30.The path of packet is shown in the data path among Fig. 1 40.
The data path that is also noted that path 38 for example and 40 in fact through internet 20 many times. For the sake of clarity and not make Fig. 1 fuzzy, the path only is shown as through associated server, for example HA 25 and FA 36.Just, data path 38 and 40 is shown as the logical path as showing among Fig. 1.
Operate in the above described manner, mobile node is considered under the MIP that uses FA CoA, communicate with node corresponding 34.
As under the situation of CCoA, when node 30 during from home network 22 roaming, node 30 can pass through the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol server request CCoA of any external network that node 30 is arranged in, rather than request FA CoA.What should be noted that is; If network 26 is the WAN that support wireless technology; This wireless technology for example is cdma 2000 standards by TIA/EIA (telecommunications industry association/electronic industries association) issue, and CCoA can be by PPP (peer-peer protocol) request or the remote dispensing of external network 26 through in MIP, proposing so.Yet except distributing CCoA by external network 26, node 30 is carried out all for example functions of the external agent of FA 36.In addition, MN 48 need be registered to HN 44 with CCoA.
For example, corresponding with the node 34 in the network 24, node 30 sends the packet with two layer address. In skin, source address is set to CCoA, and destination address is set to HA 25.In internal layer, source address is the HoA of node 30, and destination address is the address of the node 34 in the external network 24.When roaming node 30 receives packet, HA 25 removes the external address layers, and packet is sent to the node 34 with home address layer. The logical path of packet is shown in the data path among Fig. 1 42.
In reverse data path, just, when node 34 sent to node 30 with packet, packet only had an address layer, and this address layer has source address of giving node 34 and the destination address that the HoA that gives node 30 is set are set. When receiving packet, as destination address, the address of HA 25 is as source address with packet and CCoA encapsulation for HA 25, and the packet of encapsulation is sent to node 30.Node 30 oneself is carried out decapsulation, and without FA 36.The direction of packet is shown as the data path 44 among Fig. 1.
Operation in the above described manner, roaming node 30 are considered to communicate by letter with respective nodes 34 by the MIP that uses CCoA.
No matter node 30 is to use FA CoA or CCoA, for when node 39 roaming by MIP and other network service, should have enough business data path that detours, shown in the logical data path 40,42 and 44 as shown in fig. 1.Just, packet must be passed go-between before arriving the destination. This business path of detouring for example in the data in the file conversion, can not produce too many problem in the data of some types.Under the TCP (transmission control protocol) of regulation, packet only arrives the destination through the longer time in RFC 793.Well-known is more to be easy to generate error of transmission through the packet in long data path more.Yet, though the overall data transmission course that further slows down has the grouping of mistake always can be resend. But for the data of other type, data in audio or video is called out for example are very important to the accurate visit of real time information.Too much detouring of data path produces additional delay in data transfer procedure. In addition, for UDP (UDP) packet of transmission down of explanation in like RFC 768, the grouping of mistake is not normally retransmitted and only is dropped. As a result, the quality of service can be compromised.
Therefore, real-time data access preferably in the wireless communication system need be provided.
Summary of the invention
In communication system, mobile node is asked the communication session with respective nodes through at first signaling to pass through the first data path initialize communications session via intermediate node. After this, the content of communication session is set up through second data path, mobile node and node corresponding direct communication in this second path, and without intermediate node.
According to an embodiment, mobile node roams into external network from its home network.Use first address, mobile node signals with the communication session through startup of the home agent in the home network and respective nodes.Subsequently, home agent will start signaling and be relayed to the respective nodes that is arranged in telecommunication network. When respective nodes was accepted, mobile node used second address, with content through the direct transport communication session in immediate data path between mobile node and the respective nodes, and without home agent. Therefore, because short data path, transmission delay and error of transmission reduce, and produce high quality services. From following detailed description taken in conjunction accompanying drawing, these are obvious with other characteristic and advantage for others skilled in the art, in the accompanying drawing, and the identical identical part of numeral indication.

Embodiment
Explanation below proposing is so that any technical staff of this area implements and use the present invention. In following specification, describe details and be used for explanation.Should be appreciated that those skilled in the art can recognize that the present invention can be implemented under the situation of not using these specific detail. In other instances, known structure is not detailed not make unnecessary details obscure explanation of the present invention with handling. Thus, the present invention do not want by shown in embodiment restriction, but require to meet and disclosed principle and the corresponding to scope the most widely of characteristic here.
Following illustrated example is exercisable according to IMS/MMD (IP Multimedia System/multimedia domain, MMD) standard by third generation partner program (3GPP) and third generation partner program 2 (3GPP2) issue. Can in the document of issue, find the general discussion of IMS/MMD, title is " 3 RdGeneration Partnership Project:Technical SpecificationGroup Services and System Aspects, IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), Stage2, " 3GPP TS 23.228 " 3 RdGeneration Partnership Project:TechnicalSpecification Group Core Network, End-to-end Quality of Service (QoS) Signaling Flows, " 3GPP TS 29.208; And " IP Multimedia System, Stage 2, " TIA-873-002 and 3GPP2 X.P0013-012.
In WCDMA that IMS for example is applicable to the cdma2000 that proposed by TIA/EIA, proposed by 3GPP and the multiple standards of multiple other WAN.
Refer now to the Fig. 2 that exemplarily demonstrates exemplary embodiment of the present invention.Total system is generally specified by reference number 50, comprises the backbone network 52 of intranet for example or internet.
As an example, as shown in Figure 2, that be connected to backbone network 52 in other network is HN (home network) 54, FN (external network) 56, another FN 57 and RN (telecommunication network) 58.
In HN 54, there is HA (home agent) 62, be used to the data service of managing the data service in the HN 54 and being used to control the HN 54 of inside and outside route. In addition, also have PDSN (packet data serving node) 64, it is actually the IAD between the wireless access part of backbone network 52 and HN 54.
In order to carry out various IMS/MMD function and characteristic, service provider is installed different servers in HN 54.The instance of these servers comprises P-CSCF (agent call state session function) server 70, and S-CSCF (service call state session function) server 72.The function declaration of these servers will be described with the operating instruction of system 50 subsequently.
Except the node of above description, also have other node among the HN 54, but for the sake of clarity be not shown. These nodes various scales computer, printer and any can be other that move or non-moving device.
Shown in Fig. 2 is the FN 56 and 57 that is attached to backbone network 52.In addition, for easy and convenient explanation, FN 56 and RN 58 to be described with HN 54 similar modes.Should be realized that according to use, FN 56 and RN 58 possibly constructed with mode quite differently. Therefore, in the case, FN 56 also comprises FA (external agent) 66, PDSN 68, P-CSCF71 and PDF (strategy decision function) 75.Likewise, RN 58 also comprises PDSN 78, P-CSCF80, S-CSCF 82 and PDF 84.
In system 50, also have MN (mobile node) 60, it initially uses HoA (home address) to be registered to the HA 62 among the HN 54.MN 60 can move to other external network, for example FN 56 or FN 57, and the visit that can under MIP (mobile Internet Protocol), obtain to backbone network 52 via FN 56 or FN 57.
Suppose that MN 60 roams in FN 56.In this particular instance, suppose that the user of MN 60 wants to carry out videoconference session with another user who operates the CN (respective nodes) 90 among the RN 58.Node 90 can be that move or non-moving.
Generally speaking, when arriving FN 56 regional, the address of MN 60 through obtaining FA 66 by the advertisement of FN 56 issues.MN 60 is registered to the HA 62 among the HN 54 with FA CoA subsequently, so that HA 62 can keep following the tracks of the position of MN 60.
After this, the MN 60 among the FN 56 sends a message to P-CSCF 70 among the HN 54 to start conference session. The initialization signaling paths that is used to ask begins to HN 54 from FN 56 before arriving RN 58.Likewise, if agree the conference session request, replying signaling paths is the reverse of request path, just, and from RN 58 to HN 54, and, arrive FN 56 subsequently. When agreeing request, bearer service, just, the professional of Media Stream that comprises the Voice & Video content of conference session almost propagated along the direction of signaling paths.Just, the MN 60 of the logical path of bearer service from FN 56 flows to the HA 62 among the HN 54 subsequently, before arriving CN 90, flows to RN 58 at last, and vice versa. As stated, the zigzag path of this data service has increased the delay of grouped data.In addition, be easier to produce error of transmission.
In following illustrated example, adopt diverse ways.Selection is used for the data path of bearer service, to be different in essence with the session initiation signaling paths.
With reference to Fig. 2, at first, suppose that MN 60 roams to FN 56 from HN 54.When arriving FN56 regional, MN 60 receives advertisement informations from FN 56.According to this message, MN 60 obtains the address of FA 66.After this, MN 60 is through reporting back HN 54 with the address registration of FA 66 to HA 62.The address of registration is called as FA CoA, and it is stored in the routing table of the HA 62 among the HN 54.
In addition, the user who supposes MN 60 want with RN 58 in the user of CN 90 carry out videoconference session.
At first, MN obtains CCoA from FN 56.Use is by the HoA of 62 original allocation of the HA among the HN 54, and MN 60 is registered to the HA 62 among the HN 54 with CCoA.MN 60 also is used for visiting the S-CSCF 72 among the HN54 that the HoA of SIP (session initiation protocol) network of HN 54 is registered to.
MN 60 P-CSCF in HN 54 70 subsequently sends SIP INVITE (SIP request) message.Should be noted that in practical operation, as all other data services, SIPINVITE message was at first passed through PDSN 68 and HA 62 before being routed to P-CSCF 70.In addition, known as in the art, data service is the form of the signal of telecommunication that carried by the carrier wave through system 50 transmission. In order to explain clearly that with the mode similar data service is illustrated as logical path with aforesaid way.Just, in following explanation, only if lay special stress on, the only professional logical path of declarative data.
Be to be further noted that as replacement MN 60 can send the P-CSCF 71 of SIP INVITE in the FN 56 to start conference session. For concise description, in following explanation, the P-CSCF 70 among the HN54 is used to conference session and starts.
With reference to figure 2, the SIP INVITE comprises the description part that is called as SDP (Session Description Protocol), and it describes the primary demand that correct is carried out the videoconference session of request in fact. For example, being included among the SDP is the IP address of MN 60 and the encoding and decoding standard of port numbers and session. What is more important, in this embodiment, SDP comprises the CCoA of the MN 60 of Media Stream (bearer service).
P-CSCF 70 among the HN 54 is nodes of bearing the call session managerial role. When receiving the SIP INVITE, the unique token of session that P-CSCF 70 generates request.P-CSCF 70 is forwarded to the S-CSCF 72 among the HN 54 with the SIP INVITE subsequently.C-CSCF 72 is sent to RN 58 with the SIP INVITE and is used for request and accepts subsequently.
When accepting conference session by S-CSCF 72 agreement sessions and by the CN among the RN 58 90, P-CSCF70 is sent to MN 60 with token.Have token, MN 60 is sent to PDSN 68 among the FN 56 to set up bearer service with token together with the QoS (service quality) of request subsequently, just, and the Media Stream of the Voice & Video signal of conference session.
PDSN 68 is used for the QoS of the mandate of conference session subsequently to PDF 75 requests, PDF 75 relays the request to the P-CSCF 70 among the HN 54 subsequently.Any parameter of being granted by PDF 75 must meet certain trustship strategy (mandate policy).Such strategy can comprise predetermined rule under the IMS/MMD standard; Specific protocol in the network, for example relevant HN 54 and the agreement between the FN 56 with the processing of bearer service; The strategy specific to network is for example only for the unique strategy of FN 56.
PDF 75 is mounted for determining the strategy of all implementations. In decision process, PDF 75 is placed between the P-CSCF 71 and PDSN 68 among the FN 56.In addition, has the Go interface 92 that is inserted between PDSN68 and the PDF 75.Also has another Gq interface 94 that is inserted between PDF 75 and the P-CSCF 71.Go and Gq interface 92 and 94 are used to the policy control between conference session and bearer service. The details of Go and Gq interface can find in the document of issuing 3GPP2 X.P0013-012 by the 3GPP TS23.107 of 3GPP issue with by 3GPP2.
Get back to Fig. 2, if authorize, the conference parameters of request is sent to PDSN 68 from P-CSCF 70 and PDF 75 at present.
In this embodiment, CN 90 is considered to have the CCoA that is distributed by RN 58.Thus, when receiving the SIP INVITE, CN 90 replys SIP 200 OK message.SIP 200 OK message are reaffirmed the parameter of initial SIP INVITE basically.SIP 200 OK are along the data path identical with the SIP INVITE, just along in the other direction.
MN 60 is subsequently through confirming the reception of SIP 200 OK message to back acknowledge message (ACK) along the data path identical with initial SIP INVITE.
Bearer service is set up according to the authorization parameter of in the SIP INVITE, describing by the PDSN among the FN 56 68 subsequently. In Fig. 2, media data path is shown as the video path 100 and audio path 102 through its direct hinged node 60 in CCoA address separately and 90.Sometimes indicated the CCoA that uses under the simple IP situation like the bearer service of said mode and set up data service, be different from the data path 42 and 44 that is considered to use the CCoA foundation MIP under like the wherein data path that shows among Fig. 1 and describe.
In this embodiment, in SIP INVITE, in order to specify correct Business Stream, MN 60 and CN 90 their corresponding C CoA of use.For example, the CCoA of CN 90 can be distributed by the PDSN 78 of RN 58.For example, the CCoA of MN 60 distributes through the request of the PDSN 68 in FN 56.The said in the above-described manner CCoA that obtains often is called as " simple IP address ".
The flow chart of aforesaid process in Fig. 3 demonstration.
When MN 60 (for example, to FA 57) when FN 56 roams into other network, MN 60 obtains new CCoA from new FN 57.After this, MN 60 is registered to the HA 62 among the HN54 with new CCoA.Owing to used HoA to be registered to S-CSCF 72 before the MN 60, MN need not carry out other SIP registration. In this embodiment, the MN 60 SIP UPDATE message that only will have a new CCoA with in fact with send the similar mode of SIP INVITE as described before and send to CN 90.For succinctly, the logic flow of SIP UPDATE message does not further repeat herein, but is shown by the flow chart among Fig. 4.
Return Fig. 2 at present. In case the bearer service by data path 100 and 102 signs is established according to the IMS standard, PDSN 68 carries out one group of strategy that under the decision of PDF 75, is called SBBC (based on the carrying control of service). The execution of SBBC continues, and the session between MN 60 and CN90 is terminated.
The strategy that is included among the SBBC can also be the mandate that is used for the request QoS of session, the charge of single carrying stream and the strategy of bearer service. In order to reach this purpose, the Media Stream in the PDSN 68 monitoring bearer paths 100 and 102.The details of operation of SBBC can be to find among the document 3GPP2 X.P0013-012 of " 3 GPP2 MMD Service Based Bearer Control Document, Work inProgress, " at title. The explanation of SDP can be at title " IP Multimedia Call Control Protocol Based on Sip and SDP), find in the document of Stage 3:TIA-873-004 and RFC 2327.
Operation in the above-described manner, the content of Media Stream can directly be sent and received, like bearer service path 100 and 102 signs that show among Fig. 2.Unnecessary the detouring of data path can be shortened, and causes faster and real-time data access more accurately.
Fig. 5 schematically shows the hard-wired part according to the mobile node equipment of reference number 120 expressions of the present invention.Equipment 120 can be constructed to and be included in the various device, for example kneetop computer, PDA (personal digital assistant) or cell phone.
