Abstract

本发明公开了一种复合式扩散装置,包含:一个具有光学扩散效果的扩散板、一片和扩散板间隔并具有凝聚光线功能的增亮膜,以及一个介于扩散板及增亮膜间并将两者结合的介质层,上述介质层的折射率介于空气及扩散板间,具体例有:水、甘油、光学粘胶等等。借该介质层的设置,除了可有效排除位在扩散板及增亮膜间的空气及灰尘,使本发明不需要在无尘室中进行组装,而可降低制造成本外,此项设计也可以改善空气和扩散板间折射率差异大所产生扩散效果不佳的缺失。

Description

复合式扩散装置
技术领域
本发明是涉及一种扩散装置,特别是涉及一种安装在例如液晶显示器上,并使光源均匀扩散的复合式扩散装置。
背景技术
背光模组是液晶显示器面板的一个关键零组件,由于液晶本身不发光,故背光模组的功能就是要提供充足亮度与分布均匀的光源,使液晶显示器能够显示影像。为了达到显像的目的,以往背光模组大致可因光的来源不同,而有所谓的侧光式及直下式的区别,但无论是何种型式的模组,都需要使用扩散板来使光线均匀化,以下仅举一种以往直下式背光模组作说明。
参阅图1所揭露的一种以往直下式背光模组的简图,以往背光模组1包含:一个具有一入光面111及一出光面112的扩散板11,数个邻近扩散板11的入光面111的灯管12、一个围绕灯管12及扩散板11边缘的反射基座13,以及至少一片位在扩散板11的出光面111前方的光学膜片14,依每个背光模组1需要的不同,前述光学膜片14通常是增亮膜或者是扩散膜等等具有聚光或散光功能的膜片。当灯管12的光线投射到扩散板11时,光线可以经由扩散板11以及反射基座13的配合,由扩散板11的出光面111投射出来,然后经过例如增亮膜的光学膜片14的作用,光线会产生许多的折射、反射及散射等现象,以产生预期的光学效果。
以往背光模组1是利用光的折射、反射及散射等原理,让灯管12的光源均匀化的投射出来,为了确保光源在投射过程中不受到灰尘的干扰,背光模组1在组装时必需在无尘室中进行,借此确保由扩散板11投射出来的光线能够不受灰尘的干扰投向光学膜片14。这种在无尘室中组装的方式,虽然可以确保光线在投射过程不受干扰,但在无尘室中进行组装的成本较高,不符经济效益。此外,以往背光模组1在安装后,扩散板11及光学膜片14间存在空气,而空气的折射率大约是1,但扩散板11的折射率通常是1.6,两者折射率相差较大,也会造成扩散效率的降低。
发明内容
本发明的目的是在提供一种不需要在无尘室中进行组装,而可降低制造成本,同时增加扩散效果的复合式扩散装置。
本发明复合式扩散装置包含:一个具有光学扩散效果的扩散板,以及一片和扩散板间隔的增亮膜。本发明的特征在于:该扩散装置还包含一个介于扩散板及增亮膜间并将两者结合的介质层,上述介质层的折射率介于空气及扩散板间,具体例如:水、甘油、光学粘胶等等。
借该介质层的设置,除了可有效排除位在扩散板及增亮膜间的空气及灰尘,使本发明不需要在无尘室中就可以进行组装,以降低制造成本外,前述设计也可以改善空气和扩散板间折射率差异大所产生扩散效果不佳的缺失。

具体实施方式
参阅图2、3,本发明扩散装置的一较佳实施例是背光模组2的一个零组件,所述背光模组2主要是以扩散及凝聚光线的方式,来提供一个液晶面板20均匀、增益的亮度。上述背光模组2除了包含本发明的扩散装置3外,还包含:至少一灯源21、一个将灯源21的光线反射到扩散装置3的反射基座22,以及至少一片光学膜片23,依光学性质不同,常见的光学膜片23有扩散膜及增亮膜。
本发明的扩散装置3包括:一个邻近该灯源21的扩散板31、一片和扩散板31平行间隔设置的增亮膜32,以及一个位在扩散板31及增亮膜32间的介质层33。该扩散板31可以均匀扩散灯源21的光源,其主要是在一树脂基质311中加入许多化学颗粒,以形成多数散射粒子312,当光线投射到树脂基质311中时,会不断地穿过折射率相异的树脂基质311及散射粒子312,以便借由折射、反射及散射等现象来产生光学扩散的效果,一般而言,该扩散板31的折射率的1.6。当然,可以达成光学扩散的方式有很多,例如在一基板的表面加工成微观凹凸表面,也可以产生光学扩散效果,此处不再举例说明。
本发明增亮膜32的功能在于:利用类似棱镜的原理,修正经由扩散但指向性较差的光线的方向,为了达到该项目的,本发明的增亮膜32具有一个膜本体321,以及多数个自该膜本体321的一个出光面322突出的增亮柱323。而该介质层33就是位在扩散板31及增亮膜32间,上述介质层33可以是:液体或者黏着剂,其中该液体乃为例如水等的无机材料、例如甘油等的有机材料,更具体而言,一般扩散板31的折射率为1.6,而空气的折射率为1,因此,本发明采用的介质只要其折射率介于1~1.6者,都具有改善扩散性的效果,但较佳是1.33~1.6。
为了制造以上所述的复合式扩散装置3,本发明在制造时首先制备一片扩散板31及一片增亮膜32备用,然后选择地在扩散板31及增亮膜32中的其中一片上涂布一层例如:水、甘油、光学粘胶等的介质,涂布的位置在扩散板31朝向增亮膜32的一侧面,或者增亮膜32朝向扩散板31的一侧面,然后将两者压合,就可以制成本发明的扩散装置3。上述涂布方式可以滚筒方式涂布,也可以模头来涂布,在涂布的方式上没有特别的限制。为了防止例如水、甘油等等的流体介质流出扩散板31及增亮膜32间,本发明也可以在两者边缘增设一个围绕框壁。此外,经由试验证明,采用相同于本发明的扩散板31及增亮膜32,且两者间为空气时,该扩散装置3的扩散率为61%,透光率为34%。而当扩散板31及增亮膜32间涂布由光学黏胶所构成的介质层33时,该扩散装置3的扩散率为66%,透光率可以提高到55%。由以上说明可知,本发明该复合式扩散装置3主要是在扩散板31及增亮膜32间增设一介质层33,上述介质层33的折射率以介于1.33~1.6为较佳,也就是说,本发明复合式扩散装置3由于以介质来取代原本存在于两者间的空气,因此,在装配时不需要在无尘室中进行,而可降低制造成本,在此同时,添入扩散板31及增亮膜32间的介质的折射率比空气更接近扩散板31,故本发明也可以增进背光模组2的扩散效果。

Claims (3)

1.一种复合式扩散装置,包含:一个具有光学扩散效果的扩散板,以及一片与扩散板间隔并具有凝聚光线功能的增亮膜;其特征在于:
该扩散装置还包含一个充填在扩散板及增亮膜间并将两者结合的介质层,该介质层的折射率大于空气但小于扩散板的折射率。
2.如权利要求1.所述的复合式扩散装置,其特征在于:该介质层的折射率为1.33~1.6。
3.如权利要求1.所述的复合式扩散装置,其特征在于:该介质层是选自:水、甘油及光学粘胶。
