Abstract

本发明系提供一种线缆连接器,其包括一绝缘本体、复数个导电端子沿一前后方向收容于绝缘本体内、一线缆具有复数个导电线芯分别与该等导电端子电性固接、一金属壳体配置于绝缘本体外侧遮蔽,其中该金属壳体沿垂直于上述前后方向形成对称之凸点,使该线缆连接器与其对接连接器间达成良好之固持力与电性接触。

线缆连接器
【技术领域】
本发明提供一种线缆连接器,特别是一种用于电器设备外部的线缆连接器。
【背景技术】
随着电子技术发展,Serial ATA传输接口由于仅以一组序列传输对(transmission pair)作为讯号传输信道,因此在计算机、服务器等类似需要高速数据处理及通讯之电子设备之线缆连接系统中取代Parallel ATA传输接口,逐渐成为业界的主流。
按一般传统之线缆连接器,其主要系由一绝缘本体及线缆所构成,其中该线缆内包覆复数组讯号线及接地线,分别与电连接器内之导电端子及接地端子焊接。
由于Serial ATA线缆连接器通常用以传输高频讯号,因此对于连接器结构本身之遮蔽功能要求甚高,故线缆连接器于绝缘本体与线缆间之外层皆会增加金属遮蔽结构。
只有当该线缆连接器插置于对接连接器内时,由于该线缆连接器的金属遮蔽结构与对接连接器的内壁间存在一间隙,而易产生接触不良的状态,而使导电遮蔽效果大打折扣。
另外为使金属遮蔽结构能够稳固定位线缆,以避免连接器于制作时产生缆线弯折错位的问题,本案申请人曾以申请案号91220551、92218346提出专利申请前案,其主要系揭露由一金属内包覆体延伸一夹持线缆的定位装置,以防止其发生松脱;惟其于制造上需同时精确计算该定位装置包覆线缆的位置,因此设计上显然较为复杂。
【发明内容】
本发明目的提供一种具有金属壳体,该金属壳体组装便利,且遮蔽效果良好的线缆连接器。
为了达到上述目的,本发明主要包括一绝缘本体、复数个导电端子沿一前后方向收容于绝缘本体内、一线缆具有复数个导电线芯分别与该等导电端子电性固接、一金属壳体配置于绝缘本体外侧遮蔽,其中所述金属壳体沿垂直于上述前后方向形成对称之凸点,使该线缆连接器与其对接连接器间达成良好之固持力与电性接触。
其中本发明更包含一定位件,该定位件系夹持定位该线缆及金属壳体及一外套体披覆于绝缘本体后端、金属壳体及线缆前端外侧。

【具体实施方式】
参阅图1、图2、图3及图4所示,为本创作试举一较佳实施例,本实施例中该线缆连接器系为一种Serial ATA连接器,系与一对接连接器对接,以提供电性讯号传输,其包括一绝缘本体10、一金属壳体20、一线缆30、复数个导电端子40、一定位件50及一外套体60。
绝缘本体10包括上壁11、与上壁11相对应之下壁12及与该上壁11、下壁12邻接之两侧壁13,该等壁于空间围绕形成一矩形收容腔14,为利于说明解释,说明书中将收容腔的前端定义为插接端口10a,后端定义为线缆连接端口10b;其中该上壁11与下壁12具有相对应之凸阶段15,该等凸阶段15邻接于插接端口10a各具有一凹陷缺口16及一对第一凸块17,其中该凹陷缺口16位于两第一凸块17之间,以及该凸阶段15邻近于线缆连接端口10b各具有一第二凸块18。
金属壳体20包括沿垂直于上述收容腔14前后方向配接绝缘本体10之第一遮蔽盖21与第二遮蔽盖22,其中该第一遮蔽盖21与第二遮蔽盖22相对于第一凸块17间之凹陷缺口16具有一舌板23,以及相对于第二凸块18设有一穿孔24,且该第一遮蔽盖21与第二遮蔽盖22之侧壁25上分别设有相互配接之扣槽251及扣片252。另该第一遮蔽盖21与第二遮蔽盖22沿垂直于上述收容腔14前后方向具有对称之凸点26,以及于邻近插接端口10a之舌板23的凸阶段15两侧具有成对的斜阶面27。且该第一遮蔽盖21及第二遮蔽盖22皆具有一延伸段28自线缆连接端口10b平行延伸。
线缆30包括复数组讯号传输单元31,每组讯号传输单元31包括成对讯号线32及一局部包覆该等讯号线32之导电包覆层33,其中该等讯号线32分别与每一导电端子40固接,其中导电端子40固接讯号线32的方式可以焊接(Solder)或压接(Crimp)等制程实施。
定位件50系包括第一定位夹51与第二定位夹52,藉以分别夹持定位该金属壳体20与线缆30,且该外套体60披覆介于绝缘本体10后端、金属壳体20及线缆30前端外侧。
参阅图2至图3所示,组装时,该等导电端子40系沿一前后方向收容于绝缘本体10内。第一遮蔽盖21及第二遮蔽盖22藉由扣槽251及扣片252相互卡持,及分别由穿孔24卡持第二凸块18,使该第一遮蔽盖21与第二遮蔽盖22沿垂直于上述收容腔14前后方向扣持配置于绝缘本体10外侧。第一遮蔽盖21与第二遮蔽盖22之舌板23分别收容于上壁11及下壁12之凹陷缺口16,以及该等斜阶面27邻靠位于凹陷缺口16两侧之第一凸块17。
另该线缆30之讯号传输单元31系先由第一定位夹51夹持包覆后,再由第二定位夹52夹持该第一遮蔽盖21与第二遮蔽盖22之延伸段28,使金属壳体20与线缆30相互夹持定位,再由外套体60披覆介于绝缘本体10后端、金属壳体20及线缆30前端外侧。
参阅图4及图5所示,为本发明之线缆连接器与一对接连接器70之组接示意图,该对接连接器70系配置于电路板上(图未示),其中于插入过程之初,金属壳体20前端之舌板23先行与对接连接器70之内壁71接触,藉以预先将线缆连接器上之电荷放电效应构成外部接地回路,以提升整体电信传输品质,另藉由该金属壳体20之凸点26增加与该对接连接器70内壁71的接触(如图5A所示),以对该线缆连接器与对接连接器达成良好之固持力与电性接触。另该对接连接器70之内壁71具有扣持弹片72,该扣持弹片72系与金属壳体20设于邻靠位于凹陷缺口16两侧第一凸块17之斜阶面27相对应,俾利于该线缆连接器顺畅地由插接端口10a插入该对接连接器(如图5B所示),而不会产生翘曲阻碍插入的情形。
综上所述,以上仅为本发明试举较佳实施例,并非用以限定本发明实施范围,即凡依本发明权利要求所作的均等变化与润饰,在不脱离本发明的精神和范围下,皆仍应属于本发明所涵盖的专利范围内。

Claims (8)

1、一种线缆连接器,系与一对接连接器对接,以提供电性讯号传输,其包括:一绝缘本体,具有一收容腔;复数个导电端子,系沿一前后方向收容于收容腔内;一线缆,具有复数组讯号传输单元,每组讯号传输单元具有成对之讯号线分别固接每一导电端子及一局部包覆该等讯号线之导电包覆层;及一金属壳体,配置于绝缘本体外侧遮蔽,该金属壳体沿垂直于上述前后方向形成对称之凸点,且相对于对接连接器的前端具有一舌板。
2、根据权利要求1所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:所述金属壳体包括沿垂直于上述前后方向配接绝缘本体之第一遮蔽盖与第二遮蔽盖。
3、根据权利要求2所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:所述第一遮蔽盖与第二遮蔽盖之侧壁上分别设有相互配接之扣槽及扣片。
4、根据权利要求1所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:所述金属壳体于对接端部形成成对之斜阶面。
5、一种线缆连接器,系与一对接连接器对接,以提供电性讯号传输,其包括:一绝缘本体,具有一收容腔;复数个导电端子,系沿一前后方向收容于收容腔内;一线缆,具有复数组讯号传输单元,每组讯号传输单元具有成对之讯号线分别固接每一导电端子及一局部包覆该等讯号线之导电包覆层;一金属壳体,配置于绝缘本体外侧遮蔽,该金属壳体沿垂直于上述前后方向形成对称之凸点,且相对于对接连接器的前端具有一舌板;一定位件,系夹持定位该线缆及金属壳体;及一外套体,披覆于绝缘本体后端、金属壳体及线缆前端外侧。
6、根据权利要求5所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:所述金属壳体包括沿垂直于上述前后方向配接绝缘本体之第一遮蔽盖与第二遮蔽盖。
7、根据权利要求6所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:所述第一遮蔽盖与第二遮蔽盖之侧壁上分别设有相互配接之扣槽及扣片。
8、根据权利要求5所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:所述金属壳体于对接端部形成成对之斜阶面。
