Description

Storage type SBS modified asphalt and production method thereof
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of modified asphalt products and the technical field of related production methods thereof.
Background
The development of the polymer modified road asphalt is closely related to the development of the road transportation industry, harsh traffic conditions such as heavy load, overload, traffic flow and climate environment certainly cause the diseases of the road surface, and the research on improving the service performance of the asphalt concrete road surface becomes the urgent need of road construction.
The prior polymers commonly used for asphalt modification mainly comprise three types, namely thermoplastic elastomers such as SBS, SIS and the like, rubbers such as SBR, EPR or EPDM and the like, thermoplastic resins such as PE, EVA and the like, wherein in the total amount of the modified asphalt, SBS modification accounts for 40%, EVA modification accounts for 19%, EPDM modification accounts for 12%, and tire powder modification accounts for 9%.
In order to solve the problem of the dispersibility of polymers such as SBS in asphalt and obtain polymer/asphalt materials with uniform and stable performance, the compatibility of a polymer modifier and the asphalt is the key for determining the modification effect and the modified asphalt manufacturing process, so the key points of the polymer modified asphalt at home and abroad are to develop the modified asphalt manufacturing process and research the compatibility of a matrix asphalt/polymer system.
For example, the Chinese patent 'a high polymer solvent and a rubber asphalt modifier and a production method' with patent application number 93120020.2 is a modified asphalt technology, aiming at the problem that rubber solids such as SBR are difficult to be blended with asphalt, SBR is made into high-concentration latex, the latex is directly sprayed into a mixing pot to be mixed evenly in the process of preparing an asphalt mixture, a large amount of water is introduced into the method to influence the quality, water vapor evaporates to cause construction equipment to rust, the latex blocks a pipeline, the metering is inaccurate, the latex is frequently demulsified, and the quality problems of storage and transportation easily occur, the rubber asphalt matrix prepared by a solvent method cuts solid SBR blocks into asphalt matrixes which are sold in a commodity form, the solid content of the finished SBR modified asphalt matrixes is generally 20%, because the solvent in the production process is difficult to be completely recovered, the solvent below 5% generally remains in the matrixes, and the process is more complex when the solvent is used in engineering, the user manually cuts up the parent body in the solid form, puts the parent body into the hot asphalt according to the proportion, stirs or pumps the mixture until the mixture is uniform, generally needs 1 to 2 hours, carries on the second blending, needs the solvent recovery, the flow is long, the cost is high, the price is expensive in the preparation process, has the production safety problem, the light solvent influences the modified asphalt quality, when applying in the project, the parent body is difficult to cut and crush, the equipment investment of the second blending is high. For example, the Chinese patent 'road asphalt modified master batch and production method thereof' with the patent application number of 99122913.4 is a modified asphalt technology, SBS of 45-60%, asphalt of 35-50% and inorganic filler of 4-15% are adopted to prepare the master batch for modifying asphalt, and talcum powder, white carbon black and calcium carbonate inorganic filler are introduced into the modified asphalt to cause the modified asphalt to have smaller penetration degree and harder asphalt, which causes the asphalt construction difficulty and poor low-temperature toughness and extensibility, and simultaneously the modified asphalt is difficult to reach the index of the solubility of more than 99%, so that the practical engineering application is limited. For example, chinese patent No. 02116763, "a method for producing thermoplastic olefin polymer modified asphalt with good stability" is a modified asphalt technology, which aims at the present engineering use of more SBS or unvulcanized SBR rubber polymers as modifiers, and the modified asphalt must be produced by a colloid mill method and a high shear mixer. The modified asphalt is processed by adopting a colloid mill method and a high-speed shearing method, generally three stages of melting and swelling, dispersing and grinding and continuous development of a modifier are required, wherein the temperature of each stage is critical, for SBS and SBR, aromatic oil and light colloid components in the asphalt are absorbed in the melting and swelling stage, the aromatic oil and the light colloid components are dispersed and ground by the colloid mill, and the aromatic oil and the light colloid components enter a storage tank to be continuously stirred and further dissolved with the asphalt.
In addition, in order to make the storage type SBS modified asphalt suitable for factory production and long-term thermal storage, the SBS polymer and the like must be physically dispersed and uniformly mixed with the asphalt, chemically stable, and capable of preventing self-aggregation and phase separation, and the segregation phenomenon cannot occur, so that the canned SBS modified asphalt can be pulled to a construction site for asphalt concrete production and highway construction like heavy rubber asphalt, the construction operation requirements are met, the process step that the construction site needs to melt and mix the modified asphalt or the modifier with the matrix asphalt is avoided, the labor intensity of constructors is reduced, the working environment is improved, and meanwhile, the quality stability of the modified asphalt can be improved and maintained by using factory equipment.
