芯片,具体地说智能芯片卡越来越多地用在日常生活的各个领域中,例如,所有类型的卡,比如信用卡和安全卡等越来越多地存储可检索和/或可修改或者变得可检索和/或可修改的数据。
对于在具有“低信息”数据存储和/或集成发射机应答器(transponder)或显示单元的芯片卡上重复操作的功能,需要用于这些元件的电源。
因为卡的低价格和塑料生产技术,当前没有合适的电源可用于这些卡。
因此,本发明的目的是提供一种包括不昂贵并且/或者能够集成在芯片卡的生产过程中的电源的芯片卡。
本发明提供一种芯片卡,其包括能量转换器,该能量转换器占据芯片卡的整个表面区域或其一部分,使得芯片卡的电源集成地存在于所述芯片卡中。
通过在包括透明或半透明薄片的很多基片上的普通印刷处理(或者,较昂贵的,通过PVD处理)可以以低成本制造聚合物太阳能电池或“有机太阳能电池”。可以将太阳能电池本身制造为完全吸收或半透明的。
因此,聚合物太阳能电池完成用于集成到芯片卡的所有要求。具体地说,考虑它的集成性,聚合物太阳能电池非常灵活,因为可以将其不透明地应用到芯片卡的未印刷基片,和半透明地应用到印刷的基片。它还可以应用于芯片卡上的透明基片,例如,通过层压等。
从德国专利申请101 40 991(=2001 P 115488 DE)可知道半透明[名词丢失]是公知的。
在这里,在“聚合物太阳能电池”中的术语“聚合物”,“有机材料”和“官能高聚物”包括所有类型的有机、金属有机和/或有机/无机合成物和是光电活性的复合物(混合物)。它们表示,例如,所有那些以英语术语,比如“塑料”指定的。这包括所有类型的材料,除了形成现有二极管(锗,硅)和典型金属导体的半导体。因此,对于有机材料不要武断地限定为包括碳的材料,而是,例如,也可能是广泛地使用的硅。另外,术语并不意在对分子尺寸进行限定,特别对聚合物的和/或寡聚的材料,而且使用“小分子”是完全可行的。在“官能高聚物”中的“聚合物”是历史上使用的概念,并且对于任意实际的聚合化合物没有任意意义。“官能高聚物”可以意味着半导体、导体和/或绝缘材料。
可以将能量转换器应用于芯片卡的一侧或两侧,以及在整个侧面或仅在部分区域上。例如,芯片卡的一个实施例可以仅在后侧携带能量转换器。该能量转换器,例如,聚合物太阳能电池还可被半透明或不透明地应用于芯片卡的前侧或芯片卡前侧的部分区域中。
具体地说,聚合物太阳能电池还可以被半透明地放置在芯片卡的现有显示单元上(电子纸显示器;LCD、OLED显示器等)。
因为用光电活性染料(dyes)/官能高聚物制造聚合物太阳能电池的能力,可以以聚合物太阳能电池而不是印刷墨水来印刷和铭刻(inscribe)芯片卡。例如,可以通过聚合物太阳能电池的方式在芯片卡上生成标志、图像或文本。
能量转换器的制造可以被直接集成在用于制造芯片卡的印刷过程中,例如,当能量转换器是由用于作为芯片卡本身的有机官能高聚物的相同印刷处理制造的聚合物太阳能电池。
同样的,可以在基片上单独产生能量转换器,并且之后与能量转换器一起安装在(例如)层压在芯片卡上。本发明涉及芯片,特别涉及包括集成电源的芯片卡。该能量转换器具体地是太阳能电池,优选地是聚合物太阳能电池。
Claims (8)
1.一种芯片卡,其包括占据所述芯片卡的整个表面区域或一部分的能量转换器,使得所述芯片卡的电源被集成在其上。
2.如权利要求1所述的芯片卡,其中,所述能量转换器是光电电池,具体是太阳能电池。
3.如权利要求2所述的芯片卡,其中,所述太阳能电池是聚合物太阳能电池。
4.如先前权利要求中任意一个所述的芯片卡,其中,所述能量转换器覆盖所述芯片卡的后侧和/或前侧和/或侧面之一的部分区域。
5.如先前权利要求中任意一个所述的芯片卡,其中,所述能量转换器是半透明的。
6.如先前权利要求中任意一个所述的芯片卡,其中,所述能量转换器是彩色的和/或不透明的。
7.如先前权利要求中任意一个所述的芯片卡,其中,所述能量转换器被应用在所述芯片卡的显示单元上。
8.如先前权利要求中任意一个所述的芯片卡,其中,所述能量转换器被直接生成在所述芯片卡上。
