Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明总的来说涉及高尔夫球杆杆头,尤其涉及一种具有用于更好地进行能量传递的张紧装置的高尔夫球杆木杆头。
背景技术
由金属(金属胶合木)和其它更特殊高科技材料所制成的高尔夫球杆木杆头比木制杆头具有显著的优点。一般来说,木制高尔夫球杆杆头不耐用,其密度和硬度不同,并且制造过程要求很多的专门技术。另一方面,金属和特殊材料胶合木可根据原始设计进行一致的复制,使用坚固耐用的材料,和使用经验证的制造工艺进行生产。
由于金属和特殊材料胶合木使用硬的和强度大的材料,所以其性能优于木制球杆的性能。这些材料的使用使得重力传递给杆头外周,从而在击球时可稳定杆头。击球时稳定杆头可减小下杆时发生在杆头上的特征震动,从而更有效地将能量传递到高尔夫球上。增加的(更有效的)能量传递导致球运行更远的距离。较稳定杆头的另一益处是击球准确。若杆头在击球时比较稳定,在击球期间发生的振动较小。这将使高尔夫球产生较小转动并减小由于直击所产生的杆头变形。
在过去的十多年里,高尔夫球杆制造商增加了金属胶合木长打杆杆头的尺寸。这样做有两个基本原因:第一,打高尔夫球者总是寻找将高尔夫球击得更远和更直的方法。在击球期间,较大的杆头在击球时更稳定和更易于击中,因而导致一致的更长更直的击打。第二,制造方法的改进允许开发较大的金属胶合木长打杆杆头,所述杆头在结构上采用极薄壁铸件或锻件,并使用了高性能材料(如钛)。
不管制造商如何,绝大多数长打杆杆头的重量彼此相差几克之内。根据球杆的长度、杆型和生产规格,典型的长打杆杆头重量约在192克到202克之间。一般来说,杆头将保持一个常数,以便提供适当的平衡、物理和机械特性,这些特性合在一起就可产生性能良好的高尔夫球杆。
金属胶合木(长打杆)杆头采用薄壁铸件或锻件,以得到其尺寸、形状和重量。长打杆杆头越大,所要求的铸件或锻件越薄以产生所需的长打杆杆头。
在高尔夫球挥杆期间,当长打杆杆头与静止的高尔夫球接触时、产生碰撞,根据击球的速度和角度,一方面将引起高尔夫球受到压力,另一方面长打杆杆头发生变形。
长打杆杆头与高尔夫球碰撞期间所发生的变形量取决于以下标准,但不限于下列标准。
1.长打杆杆头的尺寸;
2.用于制造长打杆杆头的材料;
3.长打杆杆头的设计和结构;
4.长打杆杆头的壁厚;
5.当与高尔夫球接触时,长打杆杆头的速度;
6.长打杆杆头击打高尔夫球的击打角度;
7.杆头内的质量分布;
8.杆头的质量(重量);
9.杆头结构的硬度;
10.杆头结构的强度。
当长打杆杆头较大时,在击球时其防止变形的能力变差。即使使用高性能的材料如钛或碳纤维,由于绝大多数长打杆杆头的重量约束,也不得不利用薄壁设计长打杆杆头。当长打杆杆头向下挥动与静止的高尔夫球相接触时,长打杆杆头沿着静止的高尔夫球周围产生震动并发生变形。在所述的击球期间,高尔夫球在力的作用下受压离开杆头的重心开始横向变化,导致高尔夫球滚向阻力最小的方向,然后在杆头作用期间高尔夫球开始进入反弹阶段。在这个击球过程中,通常从长打杆杆头指向高尔夫球的存贮能量瞬间重新指向长打杆杆头。所产生的能量传送改变方向引起长打杆杆头结构变弯和变形。这种现象构成了从长打杆杆头传到高尔夫球的能量的损失。从长打杆杆头传到高尔夫球所产生的能量损失将导到从杆头到高尔夫球所传送能量的减少,从而导致高尔夫球运行距离的损失。
发明内容
本发明包括一种改进的高尔夫球长打杆杆头,其中每一个长打杆杆头都具有张紧装置使得金属胶合木杆头的外周/外部结构受压,从而形成更结实更硬的金属胶合木杆头结构。
这种结构是通过将张紧装置固定到金属胶合木杆头的顶(上)表面和金属胶合木杆头的底(下)表面来实现的。所述装置固定到金属胶合木杆头的两表面上并预加张力。这种张力的实现方法如下:通过将金属胶合木杆头的两个表面挤压在一起,接着将所述装置固定在相对的表面上,从而使所述两表面处于相对挤压的状态。另一种实现的方法是:借助孔或突耳将所述装置固定到金属胶合木杆头的两个表面上,并通过压紧、旋转(螺接)、粘结或其它的紧固形式来调节所述装置。
在通过举例在此图示的优选实施例中,张紧装置包括具有相应端件的伸长圆柱件。高尔夫球杆杆头的顶表面和底表面设置有圆形凹陷,及在凹陷下端的孔或通路。通路的大小足以容纳张紧装置,但不能使相应的端件通过。在杆头制造过程中,选择张紧装置的长度,以便将压力施加在杆头两表面之间,所述压力的优选范围为1磅至300磅之间。也可根据杆头的实际几何尺寸、结构和材料来选择实际压力,以便产生最佳性能。
然而本案申请人不是第一个认识到张紧的高尔夫球杆杆头(参照在先专利No.5,501,453)的潜在积极作用的人,申请人被认为是第一个在杆头空腔内使用张紧装置的人,并且是第一个使杆头的顶表面和底表面相互挤压从而防止所述杆头两表面在击球期间分离的人。发明目的
本发明的主要目的是提供一种金属胶合木的高尔夫球杆杆头,所述杆头具有张紧装置以便防止与高尔夫球碰撞期间杆头上表面和下表面之间膨胀。
本发明的另一目的是提供一种金属胶合木高尔夫球杆杆头,其具有位于杆头内部的张紧装置,以便在杆头的额定条件下压紧上、下杆头表面。
本发明的另一目的是使金属胶合木高尔夫球杆杆头的内部顶表面和底表面通过张紧金属线相连以防止击球期间所述表面分离。
本发明另一目的是提供一种方法,用来将高尔夫球金属胶合木杆头的两个相对壁相向相互挤压,以防止其在击球时发生分离。
本发明的另一目的是通过使用张紧装置提高具有金属胶合木杆头的高尔夫球杆的性能,以便压紧杆头的两个相对的壁,并防止了在击球时杆头的变形。

具体实施方式
参照附图,在优选实施例中将会看到,高尔夫球杆金属胶合木杆头10包括顶部或头部12、正面或击面14、底或下面16、跟部18、尖端20、背部22和杆颈24。这些不同的表面一般设置为与典型的长打杆杆头中的一样,形成常规形状的高尔夫球杆杆头。如图1和4所示,杆颈24伸长到杆头10的内部至底部16,形成杆颈/底孔26。
不同于常规的长打杆杆头,所示实施例的杆头10在底部16和顶部12相对的位置上分别设置了底凹陷30和顶凹陷32。而且,本发明提供了张紧装置34,所述张紧装置34延伸在杆头10内部的底部凹陷30和顶部凹陷32之间。张紧装置34可以是任何强度高、重量轻的伸长件(如金属线),其能承受的张力至少超过几百磅。可用于张紧件34的各种材料包括金属,如钢或钛、或铁或钛合金,纤维合成物,碳纤维与金属、陶瓷及其类似材料的混合物。张紧装置34可以是多根金属线、实心伸长杆或中空管。
在如图3-8所示的优选实施例中,张紧装置34在底部和顶部分别具有相应的端件36和38。端件38插入顶凹陷32的孔37中并有足够的尺寸安置在凹陷的基部,而不至于掉入孔中。端件38设置有成一体的直径较小的套圈39,其延伸过孔37,以便与张紧装置34同心接合。端件38通过与装置34的扩大或弯曲的端部40可靠结合保持在装置34上。端件36通过孔43固定在底凹陷30上。螺纹部分41和张紧螺母42确保端件的牢固,同时在杆头10的制造期间提供方便的张紧调整方法。
应该理解,在所示的实施例中,在顶部12和底部16之间的实际预张紧量是可调整的,这种张紧力的精确大小可能为1磅至300磅,取决于与杆头10相关的各种因素。这些因素包括:杆头形状和几何尺寸、壁材料和厚度及所希望达到的性能改善程度。也应该理解,本发明的设计可防止击球时底部和顶部的分开,从而在杆头变形中只有较小的能量耗散,因此有更多的能量传递给高尔夫球。高尔夫球杆金属胶合木杆头的其它相对的壁也可提供张紧装置,以防止它们在球撞击时分离。而且,本发明并不限于金属制的高尔夫球杆,也可用于更特殊材料(如纤维合成物及其类似物)所制成的高尔夫球杆杆头。
尽管已经公开了本发明实施例,应该理解本发明可以构思出许多变化和附加物,本发明的保护范围仅由下面的权利要求及其等同物来限定。
Claims (10)
1.一种高尔夫球杆杆头,具有底部、顶部、尖端、跟部和击打面,所有这些部分形成一个内部空腔,并能够通过一体的杆颈与高尔夫球杆柄相连,所述杆头包括:
张紧件,该张紧件位于内部空腔中底部和顶部上的相对位置之间,其两端固定在所述的相对位置上,所述张紧件处于选择张力的状态,以便在所述底部和顶部之间施加压力。
2.根据权利要求1所述的高尔夫球杆杆头,其特征在于:所述底部和顶部中至少有一个包括凹陷,所述凹陷具有用于固定所述张紧件相应端部的孔。
3.根据权利要求1所述的高尔夫球杆杆头,其特征在于:所述压力的范围约为1磅到300磅。

5.根据权利要求1所述的高尔夫球杆杆头,其特征在于:所述张紧件包括从下述材料组中选取的至少一种材料:
金属、碳纤维和陶瓷。
6.根据权利要求1所述的高尔夫球杆杆头,其特征在于:所述张紧件的至少一端包括可调整部分,用于调整所述压力。
7.一种设置高尔夫球杆杆头的方法,该杆头能防止击打高尔夫球时限定内部空腔的相对壁之间产生的变形,所述方法包括下列步骤:
a)将伸长的张紧装置定位在所述内部空腔中的相对壁之间;
b)将所述张紧装置的各端固定到所述相对壁上;和
c)对所述张紧装置施加张力,以便将所述相对壁相向挤压。
8.根据权利要求7所述的方法,还包括步骤:成形所述相对壁中的至少一个以便形成伸进所述腔中的凹陷;和
在所述凹陷中设置孔,用来固定其中一个所述相应端部。
9.根据权利要求7所述的方法,还包括步骤:在至少一个所述相应端部设置调整装置;和
调整所述调整装置以便选择所述张紧力。
10.根据权利要求7所述的方法,其特征在于:所述相对壁是所述杆头的顶部和底部。
