In the method, a threshold value of electric quantity is preset as a standard for judging the electric quantity of the battery, when the mobile communication terminal performs polling detection on the electric quantity of the power supply, if the electric quantity of the battery is lower than the threshold value, the mobile communication terminal performs electric quantity regulation on a working unit which does not influence normal conversation, and when the electric quantity is not lower than the threshold value, polling is continued.
The power management function user can manually set whether the power management function user uses the power management function in advance, and the power management function user uses the power management function if the power management function user does not set the power management function.
FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of an embodiment of the device of the present invention for adjusting the backlight of an LCD; the method comprises the following steps:

One or more thresholds of power are stored in the threshold storage portion 100 in advance, the power detection unit 200 performs polling detection on the power of the power module 400 under the control of the control unit 300, and if the battery power is lower than the threshold stored in the threshold storage portion 100, the control unit 300 adjusts the brightness of the LCD backlight 500 or turns off the LCD backlight 500; when the power is not lower than the threshold, the power detection unit 200 continues to detect the power of the power module 400.
In addition, a plurality of electric quantity thresholds can be preset and respectively correspond to the brightness levels of the mobile communication terminal for adjusting the screen light source; for example, 3 electric quantity thresholds are set, which are A, B, C from large to small, and the corresponding screen light source brightness levels are one, two and three levels from bright to dark, respectively, when the electric quantity of the battery is detected to be lower than the threshold A and larger than the threshold B, the mobile communication terminal controls the screen light source brightness to be adjusted to be one level, when the electric quantity of the battery is detected to be lower than the threshold B and larger than the threshold C, the mobile communication terminal controls the screen light source brightness to be adjusted to be two levels, and when the electric quantity of the battery is detected to be lower than the threshold C, the mobile communication terminal controls the screen light source brightness to be adjusted to be three levels.
In the above process, the mobile communication terminal may adjust the screen light source to weaken the brightness or turn off the light source; if the screen light source is in the off state, the mobile communication terminal does not operate any more.
The mobile communication terminal includes, but is not limited to, a mobile phone, a PDA.
