Abstract

一种网络存储系统中的数据管理方法，包括步骤：将控制协议添加到基于IP网络的标准网络块设备接口协议之上；通过将控制协议的一些数据块号抽取出来，不再作为数据块的请求解析，而作为控制命令解析实现对存储设备的操作控制。本发明在基于IP网络的标准网络块设备协议之上添加控制协议，以此来控制存储设备进行相应的操作，使得文件数据的读写、元数据的读写、日志数据的读写、数据的复制与回收、数据的备份和恢复以及资源的分配与回收都在存储设备上完成，从而实现一体化的数据管理。这样就实现了基于IP网络的集中管理，与基于FC的SAN相比，其具有通用性好、造价低、实现及管理简单等特点。

技术领域
本发明涉及信息技术领域，特别涉及一种应用于网络存储系统的数据管理方法。
背景技术
附网存储(简称NAS)和存储区域网络(简称SAN)是在传统附服务器存储(简称SAS)的基础上发展起来的基于网络的存储系统，是新型数据存储模式中的两个主要发展方向。
尽管NAS和SAN都将存储设备看作是与服务器分离的，但是不像NAS，SAN在结构上表现为一种独立的网络或子网，图1为SAN的结构示意图，其中服务器(1)通过光纤通道网络(2)与存储设备(3)相连。
SAN是以数据存储为中心，采用可伸缩的网络拓扑结构，通过具有高传输速率的光纤通道(简称FC)的直接连接方式，提供SAN内部任意节点之间的多路可选择的数据交换，并且将数据存储管理集中在相对独立的存储区域网内的存储系统。SAN网络内部的数据传输率很快，但操作系统仍停留在服务器端，用户不是在直接访问SAN的网络，因此这就造成SAN在异构环境下不能实现文件共享。尽管在多种光通道传输协议逐渐走向标准化并且跨平台群集文件系统投入使用后，SAN最终将实现在多种操作系统下，最大限度的数据共享和数据优化管理，以及系统的无缝扩充，但是SAN在追求性能和速度的同时，也使其成为昂贵的代名词，其昂贵的系统设备造价和复杂的管理是限制其广泛应用的主要原因。
随着因特网的广泛应用和因特网技术的迅速发展，特别是千兆以太网的出现及其实用化及万兆(10G)以太网、4万兆(40G)以太网和16万兆(160G)以太网的出现，为我们解决基于FC的SAN存在的问题提供了物质基础。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于提供一种应用于网络存储系统的数据管理方法，以解决现有的基于FC的SAN造价高及管理复杂昂贵等问题。
为实现上述目的，一种网络存储系统中的数据管理方法，包括步骤：
将控制协议添加到基于IP网络的标准网络块设备接口协议之上；
通过将控制协议的一些数据块号抽取出来，不再作为数据块的请求解析，而作为控制命令解析实现对存储设备的操作控制。
本发明在基于IP网络的标准网络块设备协议之上添加控制协议，以此来控制存储设备进行相应的操作，使得文件数据的读写、元数据的读写、日志数据的读写、数据的复制与回收、数据的备份和恢复以及资源的分配与回收都在存储设备上完成，从而实现一体化的数据管理。这样就实现了基于IP网络的集中管理，与基于FC的SAN相比，其具有通用性好、造价低、实现及管理简单等特点。

具体实施方式
本发明提出一种应用于网络存储系统的数据管理系统。它的主要特点包括以下两个方面：1、系统中文件数据的读写、元数据的读写、日志数据的读写、数据(包括文件数据和元数据)的复制与回收、数据(包括文件数据、元数据和日志数据等)的备份和恢复以及资源的分配与回收等都在存储设备上完成。2、服务器在基于因特网协议(简称IP)网络的标准网络块设备协议之上添加控制协议，以此来控制存储设备进行相应的操作，从而实现一体化的数据管理。
图2描述了本发明的逻辑关系图。一台或多台服务器1通过IP网络2的标准网络块设备协议及附加于其上的控制协议3将控制信息发送到一台或多台存储设备4，存储设备上的协议解析模块5对来自服务器的协议信息进行解析，然后调用处理模块6进行相应的操作。这里的处理模块6包括文件数据的读写、元数据的读写、日志数据的读写、数据复制与回收、数据的备份和恢复以及资源的分配与回收等共6个处理子模块，用来满足服务器的不同需求。
本发明中附加于标准网络块设备协议之上的控制协议是通过将一些数据块号抽取出来，不再作为数据块的请求解析，而作为控制命令解析的方法来实现对存储设备的操作控制。服务器通过标准网络块设备协议发送数据块请求，如果是表示控制命令的数据块号，存储设备则执行相应的操作；否则就按标准的数据块请求进行处理。图3给出了其工作的大致流程。
本发明中对于文件系统而言，将这些作为控制命令的数据块号对应的数据块当作坏块处理，这样就保证了存储设备对不同系统的支持，不会因此影响其适用范围。当然，将作为控制命令的数据块号对应的数据块当作坏块处理会使存储设备的容量有所降低，但是这些数据块的数量非常少，占整个存储设备数据块数量的比例非常低，完全可以忽略不计。

Claims (4)

1.一种网络存储系统中的数据管理方法，包括步骤：
将控制协议添加到基于IP网络的标准网络块设备接口协议之上；
通过将控制协议的一些数据块号抽取出来，不再作为数据块的请求解析，而作为控制命令解析实现对存储设备的操作控制。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于所述操作控制包括：文件数据和元数据的复制与回收、文件数据/元数据和日志数据的备份和恢复以及资源的分配和回收。
3.根据权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于所述数据块号包括控制命令的数据块号。
4.根据权利要求3所述的方法，其特征在于所述控制命令的数据块号作为坏块处理。
