Abstract

通信系统中有一通信设备(2),用于接收来自前端设备的宽带广播信号。为给可能的交互式电视服务提供返回信道,GSM收发信机(34)包括在该通信设备中。为了还提供电话服务,通信设备(2)含有接入控制装置(30),以在不造成访问冲突而引起工作系统错误的情况下控制接入GSM收发信机。接入控制装置在通过处理器(12)传送的返回信号和通过电话终端(22)传送的电话信号之间切换。本发明的一个实施例中,通信设备(2)被并入电视机(3)中。

通信系统
技术领域
本发明涉及一种通信系统,其包括一个耦合至一个通信设备第一端口的宽带分配网络,和一个耦合至该通信设备第二端口的电话网络,所述通信设备包含控制信号发送装置,用于发送与通过所述电话网络接收自所述宽带分配网络的信号相关的控制信息。
本发明还涉及一种通信设备和包含这种通信设备的电视接收机。
背景技术
已知EN301195公开了一种如前所述的通信系统,“数字视频广播(DVB);通过全球系统用于移动通信的交互信道”。
近来,各国纷纷采用主要基于DVB(数字视频广播)或ATSC(高级电视系统委员会)标准的数字电视系统。两种标准均提供了引入交互式服务的可能性。这样的交互式服务可包括,但不仅限于,点播电视、按画面计费、电子购物和玩游戏。为了引入这些交互式服务,需要通信设备能够通过返回信道发送控制信息到服务器。上述标准提出了使用象GSM网络这样的用于返回信道的电话网络。
上述通信网络的问题在于,仅能提供已定义在所述标准中的交互式服务。本发明的目的就是提供如前所述的通信系统,但可提供另外的服务。
发明内容
为达到此目的,本发明的特征在于所述通信系统包含接入控制装置,用于通过控制信号发送装置和至少一个电话终端控制接入电话网络。
通过引入该接入控制装置以控制接入电话网络,无需连接另外的电话网络就能提供另外的POTS服务。当电话网络不得不同时用于发送控制信号和电话信号时,接入控制装置可防止出现访问冲突。
本发明的一个实施例特征在于通信设备包含接入控制装置。
通过把接入控制装置并入通信设备,可得到能与所有电话终端相连接的单个设备。
本发明的一个实施例特征在于接入控制装置包含转换装置,用于将来自电话网络的电话信号转换为用于电话终端的电话信号,以及将来自电话终端的电话信号转换为用于电话网络的电话信号。
通过引入转换装置,可使用不同于那些跟电话网络一起使用的电话终端的电话终端。这就使普通的有线电话终端能够用在象GSM这样的移动无线电网络的电话网络。特别适于在没有足够通信基础设施的地区引入交互式宽带服务和电话服务。
本发明的一个可替换的实施例,特征在于所述至少一个电话终端包含一个无绳终端,以及所述通信系统包含一个用于无绳终端的基站。
按照本发明,这使得在通信系统中能使用无绳电话。
本发明的一个进一步的实施例,特征在于通信网络包含一个耦合至通信设备的电视接收机,以及该电视接收机包含至少一个电话终端。通过将电话终端并入电视接收机,能够提供用于电话和高级广播服务的单个设备。也能将通信设备和电话终端并入电视机。这给出了电话和电视功能的完全集成。

具体实施方式
在根据图1所示的通信系统中,通信设备2的第一端口通过天线4连接到一个宽带分配网络。这一通信设备可以是与电视接收机3一起使用的机顶盒。作为代替,该通信设备也可以并入电视接收机3之中。本例中的分配网络是一个象DVB-T或DVB-S这样的地面或卫星信道。可代替地,宽带分配网络也可以是一个CATV分配网络。
通信设备2的第一端口连接到前端6的一个输入端。前端6的一个输出端连接到从前端6的输出信号中导出数字符号流(纠错)的信道解码器10。解码器10的输出信号例如可以是MPEG-2传输流。
解码器10的输出端连接到处理器12。本例中使用MPEG-2信号,处理器12用以提取并解码被MPEG-2传输流运载的视频信号。处理器12还用以从MPEG-2传输流中提取控制信息并在用户接口7读取由用户输入的命令。
由通信设备2解码的声频和视频信号被送入用于重放的电视接收机3。在交互式电视系统中,为控制接收自宽带分配网络的信号,通常不得不把来自机顶盒2的信号传送到前端。这样的控制信号可包括用于从点播电视服务中选择特殊电视节目的信号,或者用于在脉冲式按次计费系统中传送时间标记到前端的信号。这些被传送的信号被应用到调制解调器16。调制解调器16通过合并器20及通过电话网络将控制信号传送到前端设备。选择装置18用于连接调制解调器16的输出端到电话网络24。合并器20与选择装置18的组合构成接入控制装置。
若在通过调制解调器16的数据传输中电话22被激活以建立电话呼叫,这一信号通过选择装置18发送到处理器12。处理器12即通过调制解调器16传输当前命令并将随后终止到前端设备的呼叫以释放用于通过电话22建立电话呼叫的电话线路。
处理器12可随后向电视接收机传送消息,通知在电话呼叫期间特定命令能被发布。一些诸如脉冲式按次计费记帐脉冲的信息可被暂时存储于机顶盒2中直到电话线路再次可用。处理器也通知用户当电话呼叫终止时特定服务再次可用。
合并器20可以包含一个能将调制解调器16或电话终端22连接到电话网络的切换矩阵。它还包含甚至在调制解调器16与电话网络间存在连接时确定电话终端是否摘机的装置。这一检测可通过把目前电源接入电话终端并检测穿过其a-b终端的电压很容易地做到。
在根据图2所示的通信系统中,使用了移动无线电网络代替有线电话网络。电话终端22现在连接到用户线接口(SLIC)21。机顶盒于是包含一个用于连接有线电话的RJ11连接器。用户线接口21用于将供电和信号音提供给电话终端22。它也包含用于检测电话终端摘机的装置。用户线接口21还包含一个模数转换器和一个数模转换器。模数转换器用于将接收自电话终端的模拟信号转换为要在移动无线电网络传输的数字信号。数模转换器用于将接收自移动无线电网络的数字信号转换为电话终端22的模拟信号。用户线接口是技术人员所熟知的市场上可得的象集成电路这样的普通设备。
接入控制装置30用于在来自处理器12的控制信号和来自/到用户线接口21的信号之间作出选择。来自接入控制装置的信号的被送入转换装置32,其用于将这些信号转换为适于在移动无线电网络传输的信号。由转换装置32执行的操作包括汇编含有要传送信号的帧以及为了遵照移动无线电系统的操作标准,在帧上添加合适的报头。这一标准可以例如是GSM。在转换装置输出端的已转换的信号被提供给通过天线35传输这些信号到移动无线电网络的收发信机34。天线35也用以接收来自移动无线电网络的信号。这些信号能被预定用于处理器12或用于电话终端22。收发信机34接收来自移动无线电网络的信号并将它们提供给转换装置32。转换装置32把收发信机34所提供的数据转换为适于由接入控制装置30选择的设备使用的格式。
通信设备2可能进一步包括一个室内RF单元33,其用于控制若干诸如声频系统、VCR等设备。于是接入控制装置30也可用以选择室内RF单元33为连接到转换装置32的信号源或者目的地。
在根据图3所示的通信系统中,到电话终端22的连接也可以是无线的。到那一端DECT基站31连接到接入控制装置30。按照图3设置了多个天线。这些天线能够通过用于耦合DECT收发信机31、室内RF收发信机42及GSM收发信机的合适的耦合装置合并为单个天线。这些耦合装置可由多个用于分离不同RF信号的带通滤波器组成。当然,用于DECT收发信机31、室内RF收发信机42和GSM收发信机的频率应该是不相同的。

Claims (13)

1.通信系统,包括一个耦合至一个通信设备第一端口的宽带分配网络,和一个耦合至该通信设备第二端口的电话网络,所述通信设备包含控制信号发送装置,用于发送与通过所述电话网络接收自所述宽带分配网络的信号相关的一个控制信息,其特征在于所述通信系统包括接入控制装置,用于控制所述控制信号发送装置和至少一个电话终端到所述电话网络的接入。
2.如权利要求1的通信系统,其特征在于所述通信设备包含所述接入控制装置。
3.如权利要求1或2的通信系统,其特征在于所述通信设备包含转换装置,用于将来自所述电话网络的电话信号转换为用于所述电话终端的电话信号,以及将来自所述电话终端的电话信号转换为用于所述电话网络的电话信号。
4.如权利要求1的通信系统,其特征在于所述至少一个电话终端包含一个无绳终端,以及所述通信系统包含一个用于无绳终端的基站。
5.如权利要求1的通信系统,其特征在于所述电话网络是一个移动无线电网络。
6.如权利要求1的通信系统,其特征在于所述通信系统包含一个耦合至所述通信设备的电视接收机,以及该电视接收机包含所述至少一个电话终端。
7.如权利要求2的通信系统,其特征在于一个电视接收机包含所述通信设备。
8.通信设备,包括一个用于接收来自一个宽带分配网络的信号的第一端口,和一个耦合至一个电话网络的第二端口,该通信设备用于发送与通过所述电话网络接收自所述宽带分配网络的信号相关的控制信息,其特征在于所述通信设备包括控制装置,用于控制所述控制信号发送装置和至少一个电话终端控制到所述电话网络的接入。
9.如权利要求8的通信设备,其特征在于所述第二端口包括一个用于移动无线电网络的空中接口。
10.如权利要求8的通信设备,其特征在于一个第三端口包括一个用于有线电话终端的连接器。
11.如权利要求8的通信设备,其特征在于一个第三端口包括一个无绳电话系统的空中接口。
12.如权利要求8的通信设备,其特征在于所述第一端口包括一个用于移动无线电网络的空中接口。
13.电视接收机,包括一个如权利要求8的通信设备。
