Description
The invention relates to a piece of seating furniture having a base, a seat part which can be pivoted in terms of inclination, a backrest part which is articulated on the seat part and a pivotably projecting foot part, wherein the seat can be adjusted between a sitting and lying position, for which purpose the seat part is moved forward relative to the base in order to adjust the seat to the lying position.
The invention relates in particular to seating furniture in which the backrest part can pivot without touching the wall and is therefore also referred to as "belt Wallaway", i.e. a sofa with a wall-separating function. This means that, when pivoting to the lying position, the backrest part moves forward with the seat part relative to the base, so that the backrest part does not protrude or only does not protrude significantly beyond the rear edge of the seat in any pivoting position.
From documents DE202016104352U1 and EP3311700A1, seating furniture are known which, in addition to this wall-off function, have a bottomless design with a foot part which is pivoted back essentially parallel below the seat part and an elongate design in the front seat region.
Furthermore, in the seat described, the adjustment of the seat part, the backrest part and the foot part can be performed by means of only one linear actuator.
However, the seats known from the above-mentioned documents have the disadvantage that the backrest gear provided for pivoting the backrest part is articulated to the base by means of at least one link and that this articulation point remains in the region behind the backrest part when the seat part and the backrest part are moved forward, so that for aesthetic reasons it is necessary to cover this region between the backrest part and the rear seat edge in terms of padding technology.
This gives rise to a bulky appearance of the seat in the backrest region, and thus cannot properly follow the trend of seating furniture with a modern appearance of an elongate backrest design.
Starting from the prior art mentioned above, the technical problem underlying the present invention is to improve a seat with a wall-off function and a bottomless design, which, in the case of adjusting the seat part, the backrest part and the foot part using only one linear actuator, provides a degree of freedom in design for the cushion design in the backrest region and thus improves the aesthetics of the seat.
The above-mentioned technical problem is solved according to the invention by a seat with a single motor off-wall function and a "co-operating" back-rest transmission having the features of claim 1.
In the seat according to the invention, the seat part is moved forward relative to the base by means of two displacement units mounted adjacent to each other during adjustment of the seat from the sitting to the lying position.
One of the displacement units is formed by a link adjustment transmission and has at least one base link which is articulated to a base and which is coupled according to the invention via a first link to a rotary lever which is attached to the seat part, wherein a second link is connected to the rotary lever on the one hand and to the backrest part on the other hand.
The backrest transmission of the seating furniture according to the invention is composed of a rotary rod, a second connecting rod and a backrest part which is articulated to the seat part, whereby the backrest transmission is configured to "co-operate" with the seat part by all transmission parts, instead of being articulated to the base by at least one connecting rod as in the known seats.
Due to the design freedom of the cushion design in the backrest region thus achieved, a modern, slim appearance of the seat is achieved.
Embodiments of the present invention are described below with reference to the drawings. In the accompanying drawings:
fig. 1 shows a piece of seating furniture according to the invention in the sitting position of the seating furniture;
Fig. 2 shows a piece of seating furniture according to the invention, the seat part being adjusted in terms of inclination, the foot part being pivoted out;
fig. 3 shows a detail of the piece of seating furniture according to the invention according to fig. 2, with the foot part pivoted out;
fig. 4 shows a detail of the piece of seating furniture according to the invention according to fig. 2;
Fig. 5 shows a piece of seating furniture according to the invention in a lying position of the seating furniture.
The view in the figures shows essentially only the mechanism of the seating furniture 1 according to the invention, without showing unimportant parts, in particular the seat cushion.
Due to the essentially mirror-image construction of the mechanism of the piece of seating furniture 1, the components mentioned below are present in duplicate, wherein these components are each referred to in the singular hereinafter, wherein in this case two components are each referred to.
The seating furniture 1 according to the invention is composed of a base, a seat part 3, a backrest part 4 which is articulated on the seat part 3 and a pivotably projecting foot part 6, wherein the seating furniture 1 can be pivoted between a sitting position shown in fig. 1 and a lying position shown in fig. 5.
The foot part 6 is connected to the seat part 3 via at least one foot part adjusting gear 2.
The seat part 3 can be moved by means of the first displacement unit 10 and the second displacement unit 11 relative to the base 5 from a sitting position displaced towards the rear edge of the seat furniture 1 to a lying position displaced towards the front edge of the seat furniture 1 and is adjusted in terms of inclination.
The terms "front edge of the seat" and "rear edge of the seat" refer to the forward, rearward facing view of the legs of a person sitting on the seat.
The first displacement unit 10 is formed by a linear or approximately linear guide system, preferably by a link adjustment transmission 15 which is articulated to the base 5, wherein the guide system is movable forward relative to the base 5, starting from the sitting position of the piece of seating furniture 1, along a movement path, wherein the movement path is preferably linear and the movement path rises in the forward direction.
The mobility of the first displacement unit 10 relative to the base 5 in the direction of the rear edge of the piece of seating furniture 1 is blocked by a base-side stop element 18.
The second displacement unit 11 has a pivot guide, wherein the front guide bar 7 and the rear guide bar 8 form a four-bar linkage with the seat part 3 and an intermediate bracket 12 connected with the first displacement unit 10.
The pivoting movement of the second displacement unit 11 in the direction of the front edge of the piece of seating furniture 1 is blocked by a seat-part-side stop element 17.
The first displacement unit 10 and the second displacement unit 11 are mounted adjacent to one another or connected to one another, wherein the intermediate bracket 12 is articulated on two pivot rods of the link adjustment gear 15, whereby the second displacement unit 11 is guided displaceably relative to the base 5.
The second displacement unit 11 is acted upon by at least one tension spring 19, wherein the tension spring 19 acts between the intermediate bracket 12 of the second displacement unit 11 and the seat part 3.
The link adjustment transmission 15 has at least one base link 9 hinged to the base 5.
According to the invention, the first connecting rod 13 is on the one hand on the base connecting rod 9 and on the other hand on the first end of the rotary rod 14.
The swivel lever 14 is hinged by its preferred middle region to the seat part 3 and by its second end to the first end of the second connecting rod 16.
The second connecting rod 16 is connected by its second end to the backrest part 4 in an articulated manner.
The link mechanism forms a backrest transmission of the piece of seating furniture 1 according to the invention, which, unlike known pieces of seating furniture, is not articulated to the base by means of at least one link, but is designed to "co-operate" with the seat part by means of all transmission parts.
The front guide rod 7 is positioned closer to the front edge of the piece of seating furniture 1 than the rear guide rod 8 and extends beyond the region of the hinge point of the front guide rod on the seat part 3 and is articulated by its free end to a first end of the control rod 20, wherein the control rod 20 is connected with its second end to the middle region of the hinge rod 21 of the foot-part adjusting gear 2, which is articulated to the seat part 3.
Only one linear actuator 22 is provided for adjusting the seat part 3, the foot part 6 and the backrest part 4 between the sitting and lying positions of the seating furniture 1, wherein a first end of the linear actuator 22 is connected to the base 5 and a second end of the linear actuator 22 is connected to the foot part adjusting gear 2 via a cross member connected to the foot part adjusting gear 2.
In the initial position or sitting position of the seating furniture 1, the foot part 6 is held in its initial position by the linear actuator 22 acting between the base 5 and the foot part adjusting transmission 2, the first displacement unit 10 being held in its pivoted retracted end position in such a way that the pivot rod of the link adjusting transmission 15 remains in contact with the base-side stop element 18, the second displacement unit 11 being determined in its pivoted position by the determined positions of the foot part 6 and the first displacement unit 10.
In a first adjustment step of the seating furniture 1 from the sitting to lying position, which is caused by a first partial stroke of the linear actuator 22, the seat part 3 is moved forward by the second displacement unit 11, and the rear region of the seat part 3 is lowered and the front region of the seat part 3 is raised, so that the seat part 3 is adjusted in terms of inclination with respect to the sitting position, while the foot part 6 is extended, until the hinge lever of the foot part adjustment transmission 2, which is hinged to the seat part 3, contacts the seat part-side stop element 17, and the second displacement unit 11 is thus blocked (fig. 2).
The tension spring 19 shortens in a first adjustment step of the seat furniture 1 and thereby assists the adjustment movement of the seat part 3 and the foot part 6.
During the first adjustment step of the seating furniture 1, the backrest part 4 is only insignificantly pivoted relative to the seat part 3 from the sitting to the lying position.
In a second adjustment step of the seating furniture 1 from the sitting to the lying position, which is caused by the second partial stroke of the linear actuator 22, the seat part 3 moves forward relative to the base 5, with the position of the foot part 6 relative to the seat part 3, which is achieved at the end of the first partial stroke, being held, as a result of the second displacement unit 11, and the backrest part 4 pivots relative to the seat part 3, as a result of the movement of the seat part 3, until the lying position of the seat part 1 is reached (fig. 5).
In the opposite adjustment direction, i.e. from the lying position to the sitting position of the seating furniture 1, the above-described functional sequence is reversed:
Starting from the lying position of the seating furniture 1, when a first partial stroke of the linear actuator 22 is performed, the seat part 3 is first moved by the first displacement unit 10 in the direction of the rear edge of the seating furniture 1, and in this case the backrest part 4 is adjusted to the vertical position until the pivot rod of the link adjustment transmission 15 comes into contact with the base-side stop element 18, and the first displacement unit 10 is blocked by this,
When the second partial stroke of the linear actuator 22 is performed, the seat part 3 is moved by the second displacement unit 11 relative to the base 5 in the direction of the rear edge of the seating furniture 1, as opposed to the spring force of the extension spring 19, as a result of the first displacement unit 10 being blocked, and at the same time the foot part 6 is retracted until the sitting position of the seating furniture 1 is reached.
The described movement path of the seating furniture 1 between the sitting and lying positions is substantially identical to that of a known seat with a single-motor wall-off function and a bottomless design.
However, the "co-operating" backrest transmission according to the invention of the seating furniture 1 according to the invention achieves a completely free design of the backrest part in terms of padding technology, whereby in particular modern seat designs with a backrest of elongate padding can be achieved.
The present invention is not limited to the embodiments, but is modified in various ways within the scope of the present disclosure.
All individual and combined features disclosed in the description and/or in the drawings are regarded as basis of the invention, individually, in any combination or jointly.
