Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of spectacle cases. More particularly, the present invention relates to a multipurpose case device that allows a user to store glasses and provide various other functions. This is thus specifically mentioned in the present disclosure. It should be appreciated, however, that aspects of the invention are equally applicable to other similar applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.
Background
In daily activities, many people rely on various types of glasses, including presbyopic glasses, sunglasses, optometries, and the like. Glasses are essential for correcting vision, sun protection, or merely as fashion accessories. When not in use, the glasses are usually stored and carried in the loading box, so that the glasses are prevented from being scratched, dust falling or possible damage. However, existing eyeglass cases often fail to fully utilize the size and storage capacity of the case. Such underutilization of space can be inconvenient, especially for those who need to wear several pairs of eyeglasses a day. Furthermore, a standard spectacle case is usually only able to accommodate a pair of spectacles, which presents functional limitations for the person who needs to exchange a different type of spectacles. This presents challenges in terms of both usability and convenience, as users must carry multiple eyeglass cases or choose which pair of eyeglasses to carry, which may result in situations where they do not carry the desired eyeglasses at critical times.

The presently disclosed and claimed subject matter includes, in one embodiment, a multi-purpose eyeglass case apparatus. In this way, the multipurpose eyeglass case apparatus of the present invention achieves all of the above objects and provides an improved eyeglass case. More specifically, the device may store a plurality of pairs of eyeglasses and a plurality of other daily necessities. Further, the device has additional functions beyond storage.
Disclosure of Invention
The following presents a simplified summary in order to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the disclosed innovation. This summary is not an extensive overview nor is intended to identify key/critical elements or to delineate the scope thereof. Its sole purpose is to present some general concepts in a simplified form as a basis for the more detailed description that is presented later.
The presently disclosed and claimed subject matter includes, in one embodiment, a multi-purpose eyeglass case apparatus. The device includes a body including a first half and a second half connected by at least one hinge. The two halves comprise at least one side wall which preferably radially surrounds the entire first half, such that the side wall forms an interior space. The interior space may include at least one fastener for receiving/securing a pair of eyeglasses (or other personal items). In another embodiment, the interior space may include at least one interior wall. The wall forms a storage area between the wall and the side wall such that any type of item may be stored within the storage area. Either or both halves may include at least one cross member that further secures and supports a pair of eyeglasses within the halves. In one embodiment, the interior space of either or both halves includes at least one insert fixedly attached or removably attached to secure a pair of eyeglasses in/on the insert. Either half or both halves may include at least one locking mechanism to secure the halves together.
In one embodiment, the device includes at least one decorative cover attachable to an outer surface of the first half (or the second half in a different embodiment of the device). The cover may include at least one fastener located on the bottom surface of the cover. The fastener may be any type of fastener that attaches the cover to the outer surface. In another embodiment, the fastener comprises at least one reciprocating fastener coupled to the fastener of the cover. The cover may also have any decorative design/pattern and may be made of any material. In one embodiment, the decorative cover is secured to any exterior and/or interior of the wall. In various embodiments, the cover may be of a folding/collapsible type. The cover may also be placed on either half when the halves are separated (i.e. opened) so that the cover can act as a cover for the half when the other half is opened (to access the glasses stored in the opened half). The cover may also include (or may house) a utility structure such as, but not limited to, a power battery pack, a headset/in-ear phone, a wired or wireless cell phone charger, a nail file, a comb, cosmetics, a mirror, a health/vital sign monitoring device, a blood glucose meter, or other items.
In one embodiment, the surface of the first half (or of the second half and/or of the decorative cover) and/or of the wall has at least one decorative shaped hole which can receive at least one insert with a corresponding decorative relief. The insert may be located on the inner surface of the first half (or second half) and/or wall, wherein the decorative male member will be exposed outwardly when passing through the female member so as to provide a decorative arrangement of at least one of the first half (or second half) and/or wall outwardly. In one embodiment, any additional inserts of flexible material are placed between the decorative apertures and the decorative protrusions, enabling the protrusions to protrude from the apertures and completely cover the soft/flexible/cloth-like material/member in its entirety and/or shape proximate to the corresponding protrusions.
In one embodiment, the apparatus includes at least one telephone receiving structure that receives a cell phone (or other similar device) and positions/displays the telephone in a vertical or horizontal manner. In one embodiment, the structure is located on the outside of the two halves. In another embodiment, the lower wall of either half may include at least one recessed area that accommodates the cell phone in a horizontal, vertical or lateral position. In one embodiment, the structure is integrated into the locking mechanism.
The multipurpose eyeglass case apparatus of the present invention provides an improved eyeglass case and thus is particularly advantageous. More specifically, the device may store a plurality of pairs of eyeglasses and a plurality of other daily necessities. Further, the device has additional functions beyond storage. In this way, the multi-purpose eyeglass case apparatus overcomes the limitations of existing eyeglass cases known in the art.

Detailed Description
The subject innovation is now described with reference to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals refer to like elements throughout. Other examples show well-known structures and devices in block diagram form in order to facilitate a description thereof. Various embodiments are discussed below. As noted above, there is a long felt need in the art for an improved eyeglass case. There is also a long felt need in the art for a multipurpose eyeglass case assembly. More specifically, there is a long felt need in the art for a multi-purpose eyeglass case apparatus that can store multiple pairs of eyeglasses. In addition, there is a long felt need in the art for a multi-purpose eyeglass case apparatus that can store a plurality of pairs of eyeglasses, as well as a plurality of other daily necessities. Further, there is a long felt need in the art for a multi-purpose eyeglass case apparatus that can store a plurality of pairs of eyeglasses and other daily necessities, and that has additional functions beyond storage.
In one exemplary embodiment, the present invention includes a multi-purpose eyeglass case apparatus that may be used to safely store and access personal items such as eyeglasses. The device includes two halves that are hinged, wherein each half includes a sidewall that forms an interior space that contains various fasteners and storage areas. The device also includes a customizable decorative cover that can be attached to either half and can include additional functionality such as a battery pack or charger. The cover and halves may be decorated with decorative elements and have connection points for easy portability. In addition, the device may include a phone receiving structure that displays the phone in different positions and may include a charging function.
Referring first to the drawings, fig. 1 shows a perspective view of one potential embodiment of a multi-purpose eyeglass case apparatus 100 according to the disclosed architecture when opened. The device 100 includes a body 110, the body 110 including a first half 120 and a second half 130. The first half 120 and the second half 130 are connected by at least one hinge 112 of any hinge type 112 known in the art. The body 110 may be made of any material, such as, but not limited to, metal, gold, silver, aluminum, plastic, leather, bone, leather, wood, and/or combinations of different materials. In one embodiment, all or part of the body 110 is phosphorescent, allowing the device 100 to glow in the dark and be easily seen in a dark environment.
The first half 120 includes at least one sidewall 121. The sidewall 121 preferably radially surrounds the entire first half 120 such that the sidewall 121 forms an interior space 127. The interior space 127 may include at least one fastener 125. The fasteners 125 are designed to receive/secure a pair of eyeglasses (or other personal items 12) and may include, but are not limited to, elastic loops, clasps, buckles, magnet buckles, snaps, clips, and the like. In another embodiment, the interior space 127 may include at least one interior wall 126. The inner wall 126 forms a storage area between the inner wall 126 and the side wall 121 such that any type of item 12 may be stored within the storage area, as shown in fig. 7.
The second half 130 includes at least one sidewall 131. The sidewall 131 preferably radially surrounds the entire second half 131 such that the sidewall 131 forms an interior space 137. The interior space 137 may include at least one fastener 135. The fastener 135 is designed to receive/secure a pair of eyeglasses (or other personal items 12) and may include, but is not limited to, a resilient ring, clasp, ring clasp, magnet clasp, buckle, clip, plug, mount, or the like. In another embodiment, the interior space 137 may include at least one interior wall 136. The inner wall 136 forms a placement and/or storage area between the inner wall 136 and the side wall 131 such that any type of item 12 may be placed and/or stored within the storage area, as shown in fig. 5 and 8.
Either half or both halves 120, 130 may include at least one cross member 190. The cross member 190 may be located in any area and/or orientation of the halves 120, 130. In one embodiment, cross member 190 is fixedly attached within halves 120, 130. In another embodiment, the cross member 190 is removably attached within the halves 120, 130 by at least one fastener 138 (such as, but not limited to, a hook) such that the cross member 190 can be easily removed when not needed and/or repositioned within the halves 120, 130 as desired. In one embodiment, cross member 190 is made of a rigid material. In another embodiment, cross member 190 is made of a cloth, elastic, or fabric material. The cross member 190 further secures and supports a pair of eyeglasses within the halves 120, 130. In one embodiment, the interior space 127, 137 has padding only at selected points so that the user sees the device interior 100 from the point where no padding is available.
In one embodiment, the interior space 127, 137 of either or both halves 120, 130 includes at least one fixedly attached or removably attached insert 182. The insert 182 is preferably made of a foam material and may include at least one opening 184 and/or at least one fastener 186 (of any type), such as, but not limited to, an elastic ring, to secure a pair of eyeglasses in/on the insert 182.
Either half or both halves 120, 130 may include at least one locking mechanism 150 that secures the halves 120, 130 together. The locking mechanism 150 may be any locking/securing mechanism known in the art.
In one embodiment, the device 100 includes at least one decorative cover 140, as shown in FIG. 3. The cover 140 may be attached to the outer surface 122 of the first half 120 (or the second half 130 in various embodiments of the device 100). The cover 140 may include at least one fastener 144 located on a bottom surface 142 of the cover 140. The fasteners 144 may be any type of fastener that attaches the cover 140 to the outer surface 122. In another embodiment, the fasteners 123 include at least one reciprocating fastener 123 coupled to a fastener 144 of the cover 140. In any embodiment, the fasteners 123, 144 may be of any type, such as, but not limited to, hooks, loops, magnets, male members, female members, snaps, tabs, groove adhesives, and the like. The cover 140 may also have any decorative design/pattern (whether with or without self-powered illumination) and may be made of any material. In one embodiment, decorative cover 140 is secured to any exterior and/or interior of walls 121 and/or 131.
In various embodiments, the cover 140 may be foldable/collapsible. The cover 140 may also be placed over either half 120, 130 when the halves 120, 130 are separated (i.e., opened) so that the cover 140 can act as a cover for the halves 120, 130 when the other half 120, 130 is opened (to access the eyeglasses stored in the open halves 120, 130). The cover 140 may also include (or may house) a utility structure 146 such as, but not limited to, a power battery pack, a headset/in-ear headset, a wired or wireless cell phone 10 charger, a nail file, a comb, a cosmetic product 12, a mirror, a health/vital sign monitoring device, a blood glucose meter, or other like items used in daily life. The structure 146 may be found anywhere on the device 100 in one embodiment. In one embodiment, the cover 140 may include at least one opening 148 to allow the halves 120, 130 and/or walls 121, 131 to be visible for decorative purposes.
Either half 120, 130 may include at least one connection point 114 located anywhere on the device 100. The connection point 114 accommodates at least one fastener 116, such as, but not limited to, a lanyard, clip, strap, etc., the fastener 116 enabling the device 100 to be worn or secured on a user. In one embodiment shown in fig. 13A and 13B, the connection point is for receiving at least one storage container 191. The storage container 191 has at least one elastic strap 192 on both sides, the elastic strap 192 having at least one hook 193, the hook 193 being hooked with the fastener 116 to become part of the device 100 when required. The user may decide to install or remove the storage container 191 at his or her discretion.
In one embodiment, the first half 120 (or the second half 130 and/or the decorative cover 140) and/or the surface 122 of the walls 121, 131 have at least one decorative aperture 173 (as shown in fig. 12), the decorative aperture 173 may receive at least one insert 171, the insert 171 having a corresponding decorative protrusion 172. The insert 171 may be located on the inner surface 122 of the first half 120 (or second half 130) and/or walls 121, 131, wherein the decorative male member will be fully or partially exposed outwardly when passing through the female member so as to provide an outwardly decorative arrangement of at least one of the first half 120 (or second half 130) and/or walls 121, 131. In one embodiment, an additional insert 175 of any flexible material is placed between the decorative aperture 173 and the decorative male member, allowing the male member to protrude from the aperture and fully and/or partially cover the flocked and/or soft/flexible material/member (e.g., cloth) in its entirety and/or shape proximate the corresponding male member, as shown in fig. 9.
In one embodiment, the apparatus 100 includes at least one telephone receiving structure 160. The structure 160 houses the handset 10 (or other similar device) and positions/displays the phone in a vertical or horizontal manner. In one embodiment, structure 160 is located on the exterior of the two halves 120, 130, as shown in FIG. 2. In this embodiment, the structure 160 is connected to either half or both halves 120, 130 by at least one hinge 163, the hinge 163 allowing the structure 160 to be in a folded state when not in use. The structure 160 may include at least one recess 161 that accommodates the telephone 10, as shown in fig. 6. The structure 160 may also include at least one opening 162 that receives a charging cord. In one embodiment, the structure 160 includes a rechargeable phone charging structure 164 (such as, but not limited to, a wired or wireless charger), wherein the phone 10 may be placed on the charging structure 164 and/or the body 110, as shown in fig. 10. The structure 160 may be found anywhere on/within the device 100 in various embodiments. In another embodiment, the lower wall 124, 132 of either half 120, 130 may include at least one recessed area 1240, 1320 that accommodates the handset 10 in a horizontal, vertical or lateral position. In one embodiment, structure 160 is integrated into locking mechanism 150, as shown in fig. 11 and 4. In one embodiment, the structure 160 is integrated in any position of the device 100 and is in a telescoping position that can be pulled out for use and then pushed back into the body 110 in a resting position, as shown in FIG. 11. Any of the halves 120, 130 and/or any area of the device 100 may include at least one ornamental piece 180, such as, but not limited to, a gemstone, fixedly or removably attached. In this way, the user can removably attach different decorative pieces to match their clothing/style. In one embodiment, the decorative piece is located on the cover 140.

It will be appreciated by those of ordinary skill in the art that the size, configuration, and materials of the multipurpose eyeglass case apparatus 100 shown in the figures are for illustrative purposes only, and that many other sizes and shapes of the multipurpose eyeglass case apparatus 100 are well within the scope of the present disclosure. While the size of the multipurpose eyeglass case apparatus 100 is an important design parameter for user convenience, the multipurpose eyeglass case apparatus 100 can have any size, shape, and/or configuration that ensures optimal performance during use and/or that is suitable for user needs and/or preferences.

12. The multipurpose eyeglass case device of claim 7, wherein the telephone receiving structure comprises a recess.
13. The multipurpose eyeglass case device of claim 12, wherein the telephone receiving structure is connected to the first half or the second half by a hinge.
14. The multipurpose eyeglass case device of claim 7, wherein the device comprises a locking member that secures the first half to the second half.
15. The multipurpose eyeglass case device of claim 14, wherein the locking member accommodates a phone in a vertical or horizontal direction.
16. A multipurpose eyeglass case apparatus comprising:
a main body including a first half and a second half connected by a hinge, the first half having a first sidewall and a first interior space composed of an inner wall, the second half having a second sidewall and a second interior space composed of a cross member;
A connection point located on the first half or the second half;
And a telephone receiving structure.
17. The multipurpose eyeglass case device of claim 16, wherein the device comprises a decorative cover.
18. The multipurpose eyeglass case device of claim 17, wherein the decorative cover is attached to the outer surface of the first half by fasteners.
19. The multipurpose eyeglass case device of claim 16, wherein the device comprises a decorative piece.
20. The multipurpose eyeglass case device of claim 19, wherein the decorative piece is removably attached to the first half or the second half.
