Abstract
A hanging device (2) and method of use thereof for hanging a garment (16, 16') or a towel (18) on a coat hook (10). The suspension device (2) comprises a receiving portion (14) for receiving and securing a garment (16) or towel (18). The suspension device (2) is formed as a split ring (4), the split ring (4) having an overlap portion (12), the overlap portion (12) comprising two overlap structures (22, 24), the two overlap structures (22, 24) being a) spaced apart from each other or b) flexibly mounted with respect to each other such that the overlap structures (22, 24) can insert a garment (16, 16', 16 ") or towel (18) into the receiving portion (14) without manually pulling the overlap structures (22, 24) apart. The split ring (4) comprises a structure which can be hung on a coat hook (10).
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a hanging device for clothes and towels.
Background
The towel typically has an integrated loop for hanging the towel on the coat hook. To successfully hang the towel on the coat hook, a complete loop is required. However, if the loops are broken, it is difficult or even sometimes impossible to reliably hang the towel on the coat hook.
It would be desirable to have a hanging device that would allow a towel to be hung on a coat hook even if the loops were broken.
The coat such as the overcoat is thick, and it is generally difficult to hang several coats on one coat hook at the same time. Thus, at the center of the caregivers and daycare, garments are typically placed on the floor or in boxes or closet.
Therefore, it would be desirable to have a garment attachment device that allows multiple garments to be attached to a single garment hook.
US1515273 a discloses a towel ring comprising a circular body portion having right angle ends extending sideways and rearwardly, respectively. Thus, the ends provide interlocking fingers that can grip an article therebetween. However, the interlocking fingers make it quite difficult to insert the article between the fingers, especially when the article is relatively hard or thick. It would therefore be an advantage to provide an alternative device that can reduce or even eliminate these drawbacks.
GB 191006202A discloses a device for suspending a curtain. The device comprises an annular structure, a part of the circumference of which is interrupted by a gap and an open U-shaped ring formed integrally with said annular structure. One side of the ring has an opening and the semicircular portion extends from the opening across the gap to the other side of the ring. However, it is quite difficult to secure the article to the device, especially when the article is relatively hard or thick. It would therefore be an advantage to provide an alternative device that can reduce or even eliminate these drawbacks.
There is a need for a suspension arrangement that reduces or even eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art.
The object of the present invention is to provide a hanging device which allows a towel to be hung on a coat hook even if the loops are broken.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a garment hanging device that can hang multiple garments on a single coat hook.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the invention is achieved by a suspension device as defined in claim 1. Preferred embodiments are defined in the dependent sub-claims, explained in the following description and illustrated in the drawings.
According to the invention, the suspension device is a suspension device for hanging a garment or towel on a coat hook, wherein the suspension device comprises a receiving portion configured to receive and secure the garment or towel, wherein the suspension device is formed as a split ring having an overlapping portion consisting of two overlapping structures:
(a) Spaced apart from each other;
(b) Flexibly mounted relative to one another, so that the overlap structure can insert clothing or towels into the receiving portion without manually moving (e.g., pulling) the overlap structure,

Thus, a hanging device can be provided which can hang a towel on a coat hook even in the event that the loop is broken. In addition, a clothes hanging device can be provided, and a plurality of outer garments can be simultaneously hung on one coat hook.

The term towel refers to towels such as hand towels or beach towels. However, the term "towel" also includes a dishcloth (also known as a tea towel, a dishcloth, or a kitchen towel).
In one embodiment, at least one of the overlapping structures includes or is formed as an elastic portion. Accordingly, the overlapping structure may be bent, thereby creating a larger space, so that the receiving portion may easily receive the towel or laundry. In addition, since at least one of the overlapping structures includes or is formed as an elastic portion, the overlapping structure may compress the towel or the laundry. Thus, a firm grip feel can be provided.

Detailed Description
Referring now in detail to the drawings for purposes of illustrating a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a suspension apparatus 2 of the present invention is shown in FIG. 1. Fig. 2 is a side, close-up view of the portion of the suspension 2 shown in fig. 1.
Fig. 1 is a schematic front view of a suspension device 2 according to the invention. The hanging device is used to hang a garment or a towel on a coat hook 10 like that shown in fig. 1.
The suspension device 2 comprises a receiving portion 14 for receiving and securing a garment or towel. The suspension device 2 is a split ring 4 having an overlap portion 12, the overlap portion 12 comprising two overlapping structures 22, 24.
The overlapping structures 22, 24 are spaced apart from one another and are designed for insertion of a garment or towel into the receiving portion 14 without requiring manual movement (e.g., pulling) of the overlapping structures 22, 24. The split ring includes a structure (inner portion of the split ring) configured to hang on the coat hook 10.
The overlap 12 extends approximately 15 degrees. However, the overlap 12 may be wider or narrower. In one embodiment, the overlap 12 extends about 10 degrees. In one embodiment, the overlap 12 extends approximately 40 degrees.
The split ring 4 is circular with a first end 6 and a second end 8. Both ends 6 and 8 are spherical (more or less circular in three dimensions). Thus, the first end 6 and the second end 8 may prevent the ends 6 and 8 from piercing the clothing or towel when inserted into the receiving portion 14.
The first end 6 and the second end 8 are pressed towards each other when pulled apart. Arrow F indicates the direction of the pressure F generated when the ends 6 and 8 are pulled apart. In this way, the first end 6 and the second end 8 can firmly "grip" the clothing or towel inserted into the receiving portion 14.
The overlap 12 includes a first overlap 22 extending parallel to a second overlap 24. The overlapping structures 22 and 24 constitute the distal end portion of the loop 4.
The suspension means 2 may be made of any suitable material including metal, wood, plastic and rubber.
Figure 3 shows a side view of a suspension device 2 designed according to the invention. The suspension device 2 comprises an overlapping portion having two parallel overlapping structures 22, 24 forming the distal end portion of the loop 4. The first overlapping structure 22 comprises a first end 6 made of a resilient or flexible material such as rubber. The second overlapping structure 24 comprises a second end portion 8 made of a resilient or flexible material such as rubber. Thus, when a piece of clothing or towel is inserted into the receiving portion suspension device 2, the ends 6, 8 will be compressed or bent.
Thus, the overlapping structures 22, 24 can be flexibly mounted to one another such that the overlapping structures 22, 24 can be used to insert clothing or towels into the receiving portion without having to manually pull the overlapping structures 22, 24 apart.

Fig. 4 shows a side view of another suspension device 2 according to the invention. The suspension device 2 comprises an overlapping portion having two parallel overlapping structures 22, 24 forming the distal end portion of the loop 4 of the suspension device 2. The first overlapping structure 22 comprises a first end portion 6 of the same material as the ring device 4. The second overlapping structure 24 comprises a second end 8 of the same material as the split ring 4.
Due to the flexibility of the overall structure of the split ring 4, the split ring 4 itself may flex when a garment or towel is inserted into the receiving portion of the suspension 2.
Thus, the overlapping structures 22, 24 are flexibly mounted to each other in such a way that: the overlapping structures 22, 24 may be used to insert clothing or towels into the receiving portion without manually pulling the overlapping structures 22, 24 apart.
In one embodiment, the ring 4 is made of a first material such as metal, plastic or wood.
The ends 6, 8 are spherical. This can prevent damage to the laundry or towel inserted into the receiving portion.
Fig. 5 shows a side view of a suspension device 2 designed according to this invention. The suspension device 2 comprises an overlapping portion having two parallel overlapping structures 22, 24 forming the distal end portion of the loop 4 of the suspension device 2. The first overlapping structure 22 comprises a first end portion 6 made of a more resilient and flexible material than the ring 4. The second overlapping structure 24 comprises a second end portion 8 made of a material that is more resilient and flexible than the ring 4.
Due to the flexibility of the overall structure of the ring 4 and the ends 6, 8, the ring 4 itself and the ends 6, 8 may bend or deform when a garment or towel is inserted into the receiving portion suspension device 2.
Thus, the overlapping structures 22, 24 can be flexibly mounted to one another such that the overlapping structures 22, 24 can be used to insert clothing or towels into the receiving portion without having to manually pull the overlapping structures 22, 24 apart.

Fig. 6 shows a side view of a suspension device 2 designed according to this invention. The suspension device 2 comprises an overlapping portion having two parallel overlapping structures forming the distal end portion of the loop 4. The first overlapping structure includes a first end made of a resilient or flexible material such as rubber. The second overlapping structure includes a second end made of an elastic or flexible material such as rubber. Thus, the ends 6, 8 will be compressed or bent when a garment or towel is inserted into the receiving portion of the suspension device 2.
Thus, the overlapping structures are flexibly mounted to each other so that they can be inserted into the receiving portion without manually pulling the overlapping structures apart.
In one embodiment, the ring 4 is made of a first material such as metal, plastic or wood, while the ends are made of a more resilient or flexible material such as rubber. In one embodiment, the ends 6, 8 surround a portion of the ring 4.

Fig. 7 is a schematic front view of a suspension device 2 according to the invention. The suspension device 2 is substantially identical to that shown in fig. 1. For example, the ring 4 may be made of metal, plastic or wood. The suspension device 2 comprises two ends 6, 8 made of rubber. The ends 6, 8 are connected to the distal end of the ring 4. The attachment may be by adhesive, a heating process, or a mechanical attachment structure such as a screw or clip.
Fig. 8A shows a schematic front view of a suspension device 2 according to the invention. The suspension device 2 comprises a split ring 4 having a substantially triangular geometry with arched corners.
The ring 4 has a first end 6 and a second end 8. Both ends 6 and 8 are spherical (more or less circular in three dimensions). Thus, the first end 6 and the second end 8 may prevent the ends 6 and 8 from piercing clothing or towels when inserted into the receiving portion of the suspension arrangement 2. The ends 6 and 8 are made of the same material as the rest of the ring 4.
Fig. 8B shows a schematic front view of a suspension device 2 according to the invention. The suspension device 2 is substantially identical to the suspension device shown in fig. 8A. However, the ends 6, 8 are made of a more resilient and flexible material than the rest of the ring device 4. The ends 6, 8 may be attached to the distal portion of the ring 4 by an adhesive, a heating process, or a mechanical attachment structure such as a screw or clip.
Figure 9A illustrates a cross-sectional side view of a suspension device designed according to this invention. The suspension device comprises a split ring 4 made of a structure having a uniform thickness D 2. The thickness D 2 of the ring 4 is shown. The ring 4 has a first end 6 and a second end 8. It can be seen that the shape of the ends 6, 8 is part of a sphere. However, the ring 4 passes through these spheres. In one embodiment, the ends 6 and 8 are made of rubber. In this case, it is only necessary to provide openings in each end 6, 8 for fixing the end 6, 8 to the ring 4, wherein the diameter of the openings is smaller than the thickness D 2 of the ring 4. The suspension device 2 comprises arcuate ends 6, 8. The ends 6, 8 may be made of the same material as the ring 4, so that the ring 4 and the ends 6, 8 form a single piece. Or the ends 6, 8 may be made of the same other material as the ring 4 (e.g., rubber or other elastomer), which is preferably more flexible and resilient.
Fig. 11 is a schematic front view of the hanging device 2 according to the present invention hanging on the coat hook 10. The suspension device 2 comprises arcuate end portions 6, 8 corresponding to those shown in fig. 10. The upper portion of the loop 4 includes a tapered portion for engagement with the coat hook 10.
Fig. 12 is a schematic front view of the hanging device 2 according to the present invention hanging on the coat hook 10. The suspension device 2 comprises arcuate end portions 6, 8 corresponding to those shown in fig. 10. The upper part of the ring 4 is shaped as a part of a circle designed for engagement with the coat hook 10.
Fig. 13 is a schematic front view of the hanging device 2 according to the present invention hanging on the coat hook 10. The suspension device 2 comprises arcuate end portions 6, 8 corresponding to those shown in fig. 10. The upper portion of the loop 4 is triangular in shape and includes a tapered upper portion for engagement with the coat hook 10.
Fig. 14A shows a towel 18, with a complete loop 20 attached to the upper end of the towel 18. The loop 20 may be hung on a coat hook.
Fig. 14B shows the arrangement of towel 18 shown in fig. 14B, wherein the loops 20 have been broken. Thus, the loop 20 cannot be used to hang the towel 18 on a coat hook.
Fig. 14C shows how a hanging device 2 designed according to the present invention can be attached to a towel 18 (as shown in fig. 14B) so as to successfully hang the towel 18 on a coat hook even in the event that the loop 20 has been broken. The suspension 2 comprises an open ring 4, the ring 4 having a first end 6 and a second end 8. Both ends 6 and 8 are spherical. The first end 6 is hidden behind the towel 18. However, for ease of illustration, the first end is shown with a dashed line. The towel 18 is firmly attached to the suspension device 2. Thus, even if the loop 20 is broken, the towel 18 can be hung on the coat hook 10.
Fig. 15 shows the hanging device 2 according to the present invention hanging on a coat hook 10 while the hanging device 2 is connected to a towel 18. The second end 8 is visible while the first end is hidden behind the towel 18. The spherical geometry of the end 8 prevents damage to the towel 18 when the suspension device 2 is in use.
Fig. 16 shows how a plurality of hanging means 2, 2', 2 "according to the invention are simultaneously hung on a coat hook 10. Thus, multiple coat items 16, 16', 16 "may be simultaneously hung on the same coat hook 10. The first, also innermost coat 16 is hung on the first coat hanger 2 which is hung on the coat hook 10. The second middle coat 16 'is hung on the second coat hanging device 2' hung on the coat hook 10. The third coat 16", which is also the outermost coat, is hung on the third coat hanger 2" which is hung on the coat hook 10. It can be seen that more coats can be simultaneously hung on the coat hook 10, since each hanging means 2, 2', 2 "occupies only a limited space (less than the space required for the coat 16, 16', 16" to be directly hung on the coat hook 10). The coat hook 10 is fixed to the wall 20.
Fig. 17 shows the suspension device 2 according to the present invention hanging on a coat hook 10, while the suspension device 2 is connected to a towel 18. The suspension device 2 is substantially identical to the suspension device shown in fig. 15. However, the suspension device 2 comprises a hook 32, the hook 32 being connected to the ring 4. The hook 32 is designed to engage with the coat hook 10. The hook 32 includes an opening 34 for attaching the hanging device 2 to a rod or coat hook 10 without first removing any other items attached to the coat hook 10. The hook 32 is formed of a circular portion. However, the hooks 32 may have other geometries, such as a portion of a triangle. In one embodiment, the hooks 32 are made of the same material as the ring 4.

Claims (12)
1. A suspension device (2) for suspending a garment (16, 16', 16 ") or a towel (18) on a coat hook (10), wherein the suspension device (2) comprises a receiving portion (14) configured to receive and hold the garment (16) or towel (18), wherein the suspension device (2) is formed as an open loop (4), the loop (4) having an overlapping portion (12), the overlapping portion (12) comprising two overlapping structures (22, 24), the two overlapping structures (22, 24) being:
a) Are separated from each other;
b) Flexibly mounted to one another in a manner that the overlapping structures (22, 24) permit insertion of a garment (16, 16') or towel (18) into the receiving portion (14) without requiring manual removal of the overlapping structures (22, 24),
Wherein the split ring (4) comprises a structure which can be hung on a coat hook (10),
Wherein the ring (4) is provided with a first end (6) or a second end (8) formed as part of a structure having a substantially elliptical or circular cross-section, characterized in that the first end (6) is in contact with the ring (4) or the second end (8) is in contact with the ring (4).
2. Suspension device (2) according to claim 1, wherein at least one of the overlapping structures (22, 24) is formed as an elastic portion.
3. Suspension device (2) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the ring (4) is integrally formed.
4. Suspension device (2) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the overlapping portion (12) comprises parallel structures (22, 24).
5. Suspension device (2) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the ring (4) is circular or oval.
6. Suspension device (2) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the first end (6) is kept at a distance (D 1) from the opposite distal end of the ring (4) or the second end (8) is kept at a distance (D 1) from the opposite distal end of the ring (4).
7. Suspension device (2) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the first end (6) or the second end (8) is movably connected to the ring (4).
8. Suspension device (2) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the outer part of the first end (6) or the second end (8) is made of an elastic material.
9. A hanging device (2) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the proximal portion (30) of the first end (6) or the second end (8) is made of an elastic material.
10. Suspension device (2) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the first end (6) or the second end (8) is connected to the proximal portion (30) of the ring (4) by means of a connection structure made of an elastic material.
11. Suspension device (2) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the overlapping portion (12) extends at least 20 degrees.
12. Suspension device (2) according to one of the preceding claims, for hanging a garment (16, 16', 16 ") or a towel (18) on a coat hook (10).
