Detailed Description
Reference will now be made in detail to exemplary embodiments, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. When the following description refers to the accompanying drawings, the same numbers in different drawings refer to the same or similar elements, unless otherwise indicated. The implementations described in the following exemplary examples are not representative of all implementations consistent with the present disclosure.
The foldable nature of the screen results from the fact that it is a flexible screen that can achieve 360 degree bending or even twisting. The traditional screen is formed by distributing pixel points on a glass substrate, the substrate material is hard, and the flexible screen replaces the rigid glass substrate by flexible material (such as PI (Polyimide), chinese is Polyimide plastic), so that the substrate becomes soft, and the folding effect is achieved. The folding screen technology applied to the mobile phone end is mainly finished by the structural design of a flexible screen and a hinge at present.
Flexible displays offer numerous advantages over conventional display technology, such as being lightweight, thin, flexible, foldable, portable, non-fragile, etc. The left-right folding type and up-down folding type folding screen mobile phone carrying the flexible display technology has advantages compared with the common smart mobile phone, the display area of the up-down folding type folding screen mobile phone is similar to that of the common smart mobile phone, but the volume of the folding screen mobile phone is more compact in space through folding, so that the folding screen mobile phone is more portable, and the left-right folding type folding screen mobile phone has the advantages that (1) the split screen display improves the service efficiency, for example, two screens with conventional sizes can be directly split, a plurality of application split screens can be displayed, a user can receive and process a plurality of application information conveniently, and (2) the display area is increased, so that the mobile phone can provide better browsing and reading experience, and the portable characteristic of the mobile phone is maintained due to the folding.
The folding screen mobile phone has become a new trend of smart mobile phone development, and innovative and personalized appearance not only relieves aesthetic fatigue of consumers on the traditional straight mobile phone, but also brings new use experience for the consumers in different folding modes such as left-right folding, up-down folding, inward folding and outward folding. The flexible screen used for folding screens represents the most advanced state of the art in the current panel display field. The folding screen is a flexible display screen based on the technical principle of an active organic light emitting diode, is a brand new product appearance form, faces extremely complex application scenes and motion environments, and has more deep requirements on the photoelectric characteristics and mechanical characteristics of various organic film materials, inorganic film materials, metal film materials and viscoelastic materials compared with an unfolded screen.
In the related art, the film layers at different positions of the foldable flexible screen from the neutral layer are respectively subjected to tensile stress and compressive stress (corresponding to the process that a user unfolds and closes by using a folding machine) when the foldable flexible screen is bent, and the stretching and compression of materials can occur under the action of the tensile stress and the compressive stress. Because the deformation amount between different membrane materials is different, the slippage phenomenon of different degrees can appear between different membrane layers, and the slippage can directly influence the size of the visible area of the screen. The display is characterized in that if the screen is stretched, the visible area exceeds the blank holder, and a part of the visible area is shielded by the blank holder of the whole machine appearance, so that the picture is displayed incompletely, or the black edge area of the visible area is increased in order to enable the picture to be displayed completely by considering the possibility that the screen is stretched, so that the visible area still cannot exceed the blank holder even if the screen is stretched and the visible area moves outwards.
According to the method for adjusting the display area of the screen according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the screen may be the flexible screen 100, and the electronic device may be a folder-type mobile phone or other foldable electronic display device, etc., which is not limited herein.
As shown in fig. 4, the method for adjusting the screen display area at least includes the following steps:
step S11, determining a reference position of the flexible screen and a reference display area corresponding to the reference position;
step S12, determining the sliding amount of the current position of the flexible screen relative to the reference position in the folding or unfolding process of the flexible screen;
and S13, adjusting the display area of the current position of the flexible screen according to the reference display area and the slippage.
It will be appreciated that determining whether the flexible screen 100 is slipping first determines a reference position of the flexible screen 100, and then determines, based on the reference position, whether the flexible screen 100 is slipping and what the amount of slipping of the flexible screen 100 is when the flexible screen 100 is not in the reference position.
The reference position of the flexible screen 100 may be a position where it is fully unfolded, or a position where the flexible screen 100 is fully folded, or a position where the flexible screen 100 is in a state between fully unfolded or fully folded. The present disclosure does not specifically limit the reference position as long as the subsequent slip amount is ensured to be calculated based on the reference position.
After the reference position of the flexible screen 100 is determined, a reference display area of the flexible screen 100 can be obtained, and it can be understood that the reference display area is an area where the flexible screen 100 can just completely display content after being located at the reference position, and the display area is not blocked by the blank holder 200, and is not too far from the blank holder 200, so that the problem of too wide black edge occurs.
During the folding or unfolding of the flexible screen 100, the amount of slippage of the current location of the flexible screen 100 relative to the reference location is determined. Since the flexible screen 100 is stretched or compressed during folding or unfolding, a partial region of the flexible screen 100 (particularly, a region away from the rotation axis) is shortened or lengthened compared to when the flexible screen 100 is in the reference position. At this time, after the flexible screen 100 is positioned, the amount of slip of the flexible screen 100 may be acquired.
It should be noted that, the reference position of the flexible screen 100 in the present disclosure indicates a state or posture (for example, having a fixed bending angle) of the flexible screen 100, and the process of folding or unfolding the flexible screen 100 refers to that the flexible screen 100 is folded or unfolded at the reference position compared to that at the reference position.
The display area of the current position of the flexible screen 100 is calculated according to the reference display area and the slip amount. Generally, when the flexible screen 100 moves relative to the reference position, at least a portion of the side edge of the flexible screen 100 moves, and the boundary of the display area needs to be adjusted, so that the display area does not have a phenomenon of display insufficiency.
The flexible screen 100 includes a fold edge that is generally orthogonal to the axis of rotation of the flexible screen 100, and the boundary of the display area near the fold edge does not move inward or outward as the flexible screen 100 is folded or unfolded.
According to the method for adjusting the screen display area, in the folding or unfolding process of the flexible screen 100, the sliding amount of the flexible screen 100 is obtained, and the reference display area of the flexible screen 100 in the reference position is adjusted, so that the display area of the current position of the flexible screen 100 is obtained, and the technical problem that the display content is not complete or the black edge area is too wide due to the sliding problem of the flexible screen 100 in the folding or unfolding process is avoided.
In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the reference position is the position where the flexible screen 100 is fully deployed. When the flexible screen 100 is fully extended, the flexible screen 100 is in a flat state and the area on the flexible screen 100 is neither stretched nor contracted. The position of the flexible screen 100 when the flexible screen 100 is completely unfolded is defined as the reference position, so that the sliding amount of the flexible screen 100 can be calculated more easily after the flexible screen is folded, and the calculation speed and the calculation precision of the display area are improved.
According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, as shown in fig. 1 and 2, a flexible screen 100 includes a first folding edge 101 and a second folding edge 102, each of the first folding edge 101 and the second folding edge 102 being bendable and facing each other. The first folding edge 101 and the second folding edge 102 are generally orthogonal to the rotational axis of the flexible screen 100, and when the flexible screen 100 is folded or unfolded, an angle between a portion of the first folding edge 101 and another portion of the first folding edge 101 may become larger or smaller, and an angle between a portion of the second folding edge 102 and another portion of the second folding edge 102 may become larger or smaller.
The flexible screen 100 further comprises a connecting edge connected between the ends of the same sides of the first folding edge 101 and the second folding edge 102. For example, when the flexible screen 100 is folded in a lateral direction, the connection side is connected between the left end of the first folding side 101 and the left end of the second folding side 102, or between the right end of the first folding side 101 and the right end of the second folding side 102, and when the flexible screen 100 is folded in a longitudinal direction, the connection side is connected between the upper end of the first folding side 101 and the upper end of the second folding side 102, or between the lower end of the first folding side 101 and the lower end of the second folding side 102.
The flexible screen 100 further comprises a blank holder 200, wherein the blank holder 200 is adapted to cover the connecting edge, and the blank holder 200 is a black strip at the outer edge of the screen when the screen is being placed in the forward direction. The connecting edge moves relative to the beading strip 200 during folding or unfolding of the flexible screen 100. After the flexible screen 100 is far away from the reference position, the sliding amount of the connecting edge relative to the blank holder 200 is the sliding amount of the flexible screen 100 in the bending process.
In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the determining the amount of slippage of the current location of the flexible screen 100 relative to a reference location includes:
determining the slippage of the connecting edge relative to the blank holder 200;
the sliding amount of the connecting edge relative to the blank holder 200 is taken as the sliding amount of the current position of the flexible screen 100 relative to the reference position.
Since the connecting edge of the flexible screen 100 moves with respect to the beading strip 200 during the folding or unfolding of the flexible screen 100. At this time, the amount of slippage of the connecting edge with respect to the beading strip 200 may be taken as the amount of slippage of the current position of the flexible screen 100 with respect to the reference position.
In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the flexible screen 100 includes a first flexible screen 110 and a second flexible screen 120 connected to each other, a portion of the first folding edge 101 belongs to the first flexible screen 110, another portion of the first folding edge 101 belongs to the second flexible screen 120, a portion of the second folding edge 102 belongs to the first flexible screen 110, another portion of the second folding edge 102 belongs to the second flexible screen 120, and the connecting edge includes a first connecting edge 103a and a second connecting edge 103b, a first connecting edge 103a is disposed between one ends of the same sides of the first folding edge 101 and the second folding edge 102, and a second connecting edge 103b is disposed between the other ends of the same sides of the first folding edge 101 and the second folding edge 102. The number of the binder strips 200 may be two, one of the two binder strips 200 being adapted to block the first connecting edge 103a and the other of the two binder strips 200 being adapted to block the second connecting edge 103b.
After the flexible screen 100 is folded or unfolded relative to the reference position, the first connection edge 103a and the first blank holder can slide relatively, the second connection edge 103b and the second blank holder can slide relatively, and the sliding amount between the first connection edge 103a and the first blank holder is a basis for subsequently adjusting the display area of the first flexible screen 110, and the sliding amount between the second connection edge 103b and the second blank holder is a basis for subsequently adjusting the display area of the second flexible screen 120.
In some embodiments of the present disclosure, as shown in fig. 1, the beading strip 200 includes a first plate portion 210 disposed at the front side of the flexible screen 100 and a second plate portion 220 disposed outside the connecting edge. The first plate portion 210 and the second plate portion 220 are constructed in an "L" type structure, and the edges of the flexible screen 100 are generally shielded by the first plate portion 210, and the second plate portion 220 is spaced apart from the edges of the flexible screen 100.
The determining the sliding amount of the connecting edge relative to the blank holder 200 includes:
determining a first distance between the connecting edge and the second plate portion 220 when the flexible screen 100 is in a reference position;
determining a second distance between the connecting edge and the second plate portion 220;
The difference between the second distance and the first distance is determined as the slip amount of the connecting edge with respect to the blank holder 200.
When the flexible screen 100 is at the reference position, a first distance between the connecting edge and the second plate portion 220 is L 1, and after the flexible screen 100 is far away from the reference position, a second distance between the connecting edge and the second plate portion 220 is L x, and the sliding amount Δl satisfies that Δl=l x-L1.
For example, after the flexible screen 100 is stretched relative to the screen where the reference position is located, the edge of the flexible screen 100 may enter the inside of the blank holder 200 more, that is, the edge of the flexible screen 100 may be moved into the space defined by the first plate portion 210 and the second plate portion 220, at this time, the display boundary near the connecting edge may need to be adjusted toward the inside of the flexible screen 100 to avoid the first plate portion 210 from shielding the display content, after the flexible screen 100 is compressed relative to the screen where the reference position is located, the edge of the flexible screen 100 may be less shielded by the first plate portion 210, and the edge of the flexible screen 100 may be moved away from the space defined by the first plate portion 210 and the second plate portion 220, at this time, the display boundary near the connecting edge may need to be adjusted toward the outside of the flexible screen 100 to avoid the region outside of the display boundary near the connecting edge from being exposed, so that the whole black edge is too wide to affect the appearance of the user.
In one embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in fig. 5, the determining the reference display area corresponding to the reference position includes:
S21, when the flexible screen 100 is at the reference position, determining a display boundary of the flexible screen 100 at the reference position;
s22, adjusting the display boundary, wherein the adjusted display boundary meets the requirement that the display boundary is not blocked by the blank holder, and the distance between the display boundary and the blank holder is smaller than or equal to a preset distance;
And S23, taking the display area corresponding to the adjusted display boundary as the reference display area.
As shown in FIG. 1, the position of the flexible screen 100 when fully unfolded is a reference position, the distance between the connecting edge and the second plate portion 220 is L 1, the display boundary of the reference display area adjacent to the connecting edge is A 1, the display boundary A 1 is not blocked by the blank holder, the distance between the display boundary A 1 and the blank holder is not too large, and the requirement of a preset distance or less is met, when the flexible screen 100 rotates by a certain angle, the distance between the connecting edge and the second plate portion 220 is L 2, the display boundary of the reference display area adjacent to the connecting edge is A 2,A2 which is closer to the inner side of the flexible screen 100 than A 1, when the flexible screen 100 is fully folded, the distance between the connecting edge and the second plate portion 220 is L 3, and the display boundary of the reference display area adjacent to the connecting edge is A 3,A3 which is closer to the inner side of the flexible screen 100 than A 1. Obviously, during the gradual folding of the flexible screen 100, the connecting edge gradually moves into the space defined by the first plate portion 210 and the second plate portion 220.
Since the position of the blank holder 200 is unchanged, the distance between the connecting edge and the second plate portion 220 is changed, that is, the change between the current display boundary and the display boundary of the reference display area. Therefore, the slip amount of the flexible screen 100 can be obtained by merely detecting the change in the distance between the connecting edge and the second plate portion 220.
That is, the present disclosure can obtain the amount of slippage of the position of the flexible screen 100 after folding or unfolding compared to the reference position by the change in the distance between the connecting edge and the second plate portion 220. Therefore, the sliding amount of the flexible screen 100 is calculated more accurately and conveniently, and the reliability and convenience of the sliding amount calculation of the flexible screen 100 are improved.
In some embodiments of the present disclosure, as shown in fig. 6, the determining the amount of slip of the current position of the flexible screen 100 relative to the reference position includes:
S31, detecting a current bending angle corresponding to the current position of the flexible screen 100;
s32, determining the current slippage corresponding to the current bending angle based on the mapping relation between the bending angle and the slippage;
and S33, taking the current slippage as the slippage of the current position of the flexible screen 100 relative to the reference position.
It can be understood that the mapping relationship between the bending angle and the sliding amount can be stored in the storage unit of the electronic device in advance, the bending angle of the flexible screen can be detected in the bending or folding process of the flexible screen 100, the sliding amount corresponding to the bending angle of the current position of the flexible screen 100 is found in the mapping relationship between the bending angle and the sliding amount, and then the sliding amount is used as the sliding amount of the current position of the flexible screen 100 relative to the reference position.
According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, a bending angle of the flexible screen 100 is detected, and a sliding amount of a position of the flexible screen 100 after folding or unfolding compared to a reference position is obtained through the bending angle. That is, after detecting that the flexible screen 100 is at a certain angle, the corresponding sliding amount of the flexible screen 100 may be directly called, so as to prepare for the subsequent change of the display area.
The sliding amount of the flexible screen 100 under a plurality of bending angles can be measured first, a mapping table of the bending angles and the sliding amount is established, and the sliding amount of the flexible screen 100 is obtained by detecting the bending angles of the flexible screen 100.
The mapping from the bending angle to the slippage can be realized by a general hash table, and if the data intervals of the bending angles are consistent, the preferable sequence table can be stored. Each sequence table address stores a slippage, the memory address where the slippage is located can be obtained by simple linear transformation of angles, and the size of the mapping relation database can be set according to different memory requirements and hardware angle detection precision. For example, if the detection precision is from 0 ° to 360 °, 361 parameters can be set at intervals of 1 ° and 0 ° -360 °, and an array with length 361 is stored in the memory, which is more efficient than directly using the hash table, and therefore, the method can not cause memory fragmentation, is more friendly to the memory, and can be used for storing more data if the precision and the memory allow.
According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the determining the current slippage corresponding to the current bending angle based on the mapping relationship between the bending angle and the slippage includes:
If the current bending angle exists in the mapping relation between the bending angle and the slippage, determining the slippage corresponding to the current bending angle in the mapping relation as the current slippage corresponding to the current bending angle;
If the current bending angle does not exist in the mapping relation between the bending angle and the slippage, determining the current slippage corresponding to the current bending angle through an interpolation method.
If the data is insufficient, the bending angle of the flexible screen 100 is detected not to be stored in the mapping table, and the slippage of the flexible screen 100 can be obtained by interpolation.
It can be appreciated that the higher the detection accuracy, the more quickly and accurately the amount of slippage of the flexible screen 100 can be located after the bending angle is obtained. Of course, considering the requirement of memory capacity and the difficulty of data processing, proper detection precision can be selected according to the actual situation.
In one embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in fig. 7, the adjusting the display area of the current location of the flexible screen 100 according to the reference display area and the slippage includes:

S42, if the flexible screen 100 is unfolded relative to the reference position, expanding the first display boundary to a second display boundary according to the slippage, and determining a display area corresponding to the second display boundary as a display area of the current position of the flexible screen 100;
And S43, if the flexible screen 100 is folded relative to the reference position, reducing the first display boundary to a third display boundary according to the slippage, and determining a display area corresponding to the third display boundary as a display area of the current position of the flexible screen 100.
It is understood that the outermost edge of the display area is a display boundary, and when the display boundary is adjusted according to the amount of slippage, only a part of the display boundary is adjusted if a part of the display boundary moves, and all the display boundary can be adjusted if all the display boundary moves.
