Description

Display screen detection method and device and display screen

Background
Nowadays, the LED display screen is widely applied in the life of people due to the characteristics of low power consumption, low cost, environmental protection, durability and the like. However, when the LED display screen is in a severe environment such as high temperature and humidity for a long time, the LED lamp may be damaged, and then the LED lamp is opened. Under the condition that the LED lamp is opened, the damaged LED lamp cannot be normally lightened, and abnormal display can occur in other areas in the LED display screen, so that the image quality is influenced.
In the conventional technology, the open circuit of the LED lamp is detected by detecting the port voltage at the port of the constant current driving module circuit and comparing the port voltage with the preset voltage to judge whether the open circuit problem exists or not, and the judging result is sent to the constant current driving module to close the constant current output of the corresponding LED lamp. However, when the number of the LEDs that are lit in a row is large, the obtained port voltage of the constant current source is likely to be smaller than the preset voltage, if the open circuit detection of the LED lamp in the conventional technology is used, erroneous judgment is easily caused by comparing the preset voltage with the port voltage, so that the LED lamp that should be normally displayed is turned off for constant current output, and the display effect is reduced.

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present application more apparent, the present application will be further described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are for purposes of illustration only and are not intended to limit the present application.
Fig. 1 is a block diagram showing a conventional LED display system, which includes a row driving control circuit, a plurality of LED lamps, a plurality of constant current driving modules, and a plurality of open circuit detecting modules. The open circuit detection module is used for detecting the port voltage V at the output end of the constant current driving module DS Detecting according to the V under the working state of the LED lamp DS Whether the constant current output is closed or not is judged by the size of the constant current circuit breaker, the detection result is informed to the constant current driving module, and the constant current driving module selects whether the constant current output is closed or not according to the received detection result.
Under the condition that the LED lamp is open, the port voltage V at the output end of the constant current driving module DS The value of (2) is equal to the constant current source port voltage, which is typically small, e.g., less than 0.5V, when V DS Less than 0.5V; while the LED lamp is in normal operation, V DS Forward conduction voltage drop V of VDD-LED lamp F Voltage drop V of row drive control circuit H
Normally, the resistance R of the row driving control circuit H Smaller, it produces a pressure drop V H Related to the number of LED lamps lit in a row: assume that the constant current required to illuminate an LED lamp is I 0 When n LED lamps are lighted in one row at a certain time, the current flowing through the row driving control circuit is n multiplied by I 0 The voltage drop generated by the row driving control circuit is n×I 0 ×R H I.e. the more the number of LED lamps lit in a row, V H The greater the value of (2).
Normally, the forward conduction voltage drop of the LED lamp is about 3V, and assuming that the power supply VDD provides a 5V supply voltage, when the LED lamp works normally and the number of turned on lamps is small, the row is drivenVoltage drop V of dynamic control circuit H The value is smaller, and the port voltage V at the output end of the constant current driving module DS The value of (2) is usually greater than 1V, so 1V can be set as a preset voltage V for judging whether the LED lamp is open OS . However, as the requirements for low power consumption of the LED display screen are higher and higher, the voltage control of the power supply VDD is lower and lower, for example, as low as 4.2V, when the number of the LED lamps lighted in a row is higher, V H The value of (2) is larger, and the port voltage of the constant current source is likely to be smaller than the preset voltage V OS Even the constant current source voltage drop under the nearly open circuit state, therefore judge whether the LED lamp opens circuit through current mode, very easily lead to erroneous judgement, reduce the display effect.
In order to solve the problem of low detection accuracy of the abnormal LED lamp, as shown in fig. 2, the embodiment provides a display screen detection method, which includes the following steps:
step S100, the required LED number of the current scanning line of the display unit is obtained.
The display screen detection in this embodiment may be performed in a row unit in the display driving array. The required number of LED lamps may be the number of LED lamps that need to be lit.
The required number of LED lamps for obtaining the current scan line may be determined based on display data, for example, the display data corresponding to the current scan line may be extracted from the display data, so as to determine the number of LED lamps to be turned on, where the display data may be stored in a control end of the display screen, may be stored in a storage module of the driving circuit, or may be stored in other available storage media, which is not limited herein.
Step S200, determining whether to perform LED status detection according to the required number of LEDs and the preset number of lighting.
The preset lighting number may be a threshold value of the lighting number of the LED lamps that may satisfy the LED status detection. According to the required LED lamp number and the preset lighting number, whether the LED state detection is required or not is determined, the required LED lamp number and the preset lighting number can be compared, and whether the LED state detection is required or not is determined based on a comparison result.
In order to avoid obtaining erroneous judgment results of detection abnormality, in this embodiment, by judging the required LED number, when the required LED lamp number of the current scanning line satisfies a threshold range defined by a preset lighting number, the LED lamp detection is performed again, so that the detection of the LED lamp state can be realized under the condition of avoiding the image quality from being damaged.
And step S300, if yes, detecting the state of the required LEDs of the current scanning line of the display unit.
The state detection can be performed on the required LED lamps of the current scanning line of the display unit, and further, the detection can be performed on the open-circuit voltage of the required LED lamps.
According to the display screen detection method provided by the embodiment, the required LED number of the current scanning line of the display unit is obtained; determining whether to perform LED state detection according to the required LED quantity and the preset lighting quantity; if yes, state detection is carried out on the required LEDs of the current scanning line of the display unit, whether the LED state detection is carried out or not can be determined according to the number of the required LED lamps, the influence on the LED state detection under the condition that the required LED lamps are too many is avoided, meanwhile, the detection is carried out under the condition that the number of the required LED lamps meets the condition, and therefore the effect of improving the accuracy of the abnormal detection of the LED lamps can be achieved.
In one embodiment, the detecting the status of the required LED of the current scan line of the display unit includes:
detecting the working voltage of each required LED;
and determining the LED with the working voltage smaller than the preset voltage as an abnormal LED.
The detection of the working voltage of each required LED may be performed by detecting an open circuit voltage of a constant current output port of the corresponding required LED. It can be understood that in the case of an open LED, the measured port voltage of the constant current driving module should be equal to the port voltage of the constant current source, and in the case of normal operation of the LED, the port voltage is affected by the voltage drop of the LED itself and the voltage drop of the entire row driving control circuit, so that a result greater than the preset voltage is obtained. Thus, if the operating voltage of the LED is equal to the constant current source port voltage, it indicates that the LED has an open circuit, which can be regarded as abnormal state of the LED.
And determining the LED with the working voltage smaller than the preset voltage as a target LED with abnormal state, wherein the preset voltage can be the lowest voltage capable of distinguishing the normal LED from the abnormal LED and can be set based on the current driving line situation or actual requirements.
According to the display screen detection method, the working voltage of each required LED is detected; and determining the LED with the working voltage smaller than the preset voltage as an abnormal LED, and judging whether the LED has an open circuit or not to realize the state detection of the LED.
In one embodiment, the display screen detection method further includes:
and turning off the constant current output of the abnormal LED.
The constant current output of the abnormal LED is turned off, so that the problems such as a cross phenomenon and the like caused by the abnormality of the LED can be avoided, and the effects of improving the image quality and maintaining the current picture quality of the display screen to the maximum extent can be achieved.
In one embodiment, the determining whether to perform the LED status detection according to the required number of LEDs and the preset number of lighting includes:
if the required LED quantity is smaller than or equal to the preset lighting quantity, LED state detection is required;
if the required LED quantity is larger than the preset lighting quantity, LED state detection is not needed.
It can be appreciated that when the required number of LEDs is greater than or equal to the preset number of LEDs, the voltage drop of the row driving control circuit is easily excessive, which may cause the LEDs that should be determined to be operating normally to be misjudged as abnormal. By carrying out the LED state detection under the condition that the required LED quantity is smaller than the preset electric quantity, the influence of the overlarge required LED quantity on the LED state detection can be avoided.
In one embodiment, before determining whether to perform the LED status detection according to the required number of LEDs and the preset number of lighting, the method further includes:
acquiring row power supply voltage, preset voltage, forward conduction voltage drop of an LED (light emitting diode) and circuit resistance value and LED constant current of a row driving control circuit;
calculating a first voltage based on the row supply voltage, the preset voltage and the forward conduction voltage drop of the LED;
calculating a second voltage based on a product of a circuit resistance of the row drive control circuit and an LED constant current;
the preset lighting number of the row driving group is determined based on a ratio of the first voltage and the second voltage.
The row driving control circuit is used for controlling the on or off of the LEDs corresponding to the current scanning row of the display unit. The preset voltage may be a preset voltage for judging whether the state is abnormal as described above. The forward conduction voltage drop of the LED, the circuit resistance value of the row driving control circuit and the LED constant current can be obtained based on the previous detection, can be obtained according to factory parameters, and can be obtained through other existing parameter obtaining modes.
The following is a derivation process of the preset lighting amount calculation:
according to the voltage formula output by the constant current port under the normal working condition of the LED lamp, namely V DS Forward conduction voltage drop V of VDD-LED lamp F Voltage drop V of row drive control circuit H Can obtain
V DS =VDD-V F -n×I 0 ×R H
Wherein VDD is the row supply voltage of the current scanning row of the display unit, V DS Port voltage of constant current output port, V F For forward conduction voltage drop of LEDs, n is the number of LEDs which are lighted, I 0 Constant current for a single LED, R H Is the circuit resistance of the row driving control circuit.
In order to detect the port voltage normally, V under normal operation is required DS The voltage is larger than or equal to a preset voltage, namely:
VDD-V F -n×I 0 ×R H ≥V OS
wherein V is OS Is a preset voltage; it can be deduced that the maximum number of LEDs is lit on the premise that the open circuit detection is not misjudged:
based on the above formula, the maximum number of LED lighting that will not generate erroneous judgment can be calculated as the preset lighting number by the power supply voltage of the driving row, the preset voltage, the forward conduction voltage drop of the LED, and the circuit resistance value and the LED constant current of the row driving control circuit.
It will be appreciated that, since the value of the parameter required for the preset number of lights may be static or dynamically changing, in the case of dynamic parameter values, the calculation of the preset number of lights may be performed in a fixed period, for example, the calculation of the preset number of lights may be performed before or after each n LED status detections, and in the case of static parameter values, the calculation may be performed in advance, for example, the setting of a fixed parameter may be performed between display screen operations.
According to the display screen detection method provided by the embodiment, the preset lighting quantity is calculated through the line power supply voltage, the preset voltage, the forward conduction voltage drop of the LED lamps, the circuit resistance value of the line driving control circuit and the LED constant current, the lighting lamp quantity which is not misjudged can be calculated according to the current condition of the current scanning line, and the range of the LED lighting quantity can be determined to a large extent so as to ensure the normal detection of the LEDs.
In one embodiment, when the display unit is a row driving group, the obtaining the required LED number of the current scan row of the display unit includes:
acquiring display data of a current scanning line of the line driving group;
and determining the required LED number of the current scanning line of the line driving group based on the display data.
The display data may be data that needs to be displayed by a current scanning line of the line driving group at a current time, and in a specific embodiment, the display data may be gray-scale data.
The number of required LEDs of the current scan line of the line driving group is determined based on the display data, for example, if "1" is used to indicate lighting in the display data of the current scan line of the line driving group, the number of "1" in the display data is counted to determine the number of required LEDs.
In one embodiment, the determining whether to perform the LED status detection according to the required number of LEDs and the preset number of lighting includes:
obtaining the number of constant current output ports of a current driving circuit and the total number of LEDs of a current scanning line of a line driving group;
and determining the preset lighting number of the driving circuit based on the preset lighting number of the row driving group, the constant current output port number and the total number of LEDs.
The constant current output ports of each current driving circuit respectively correspond to the constant current output of one LED, so that the number of the constant current output ports of each current driving circuit can be regarded as the total number of LEDs driven by the current driving circuit; the total number of LEDs of the current scan line of the line driving group is the number of all LEDs of the current scan line of the driving group.
The determining the preset lighting number of the driving circuit based on the preset lighting number of the row driving group, the constant current output port number and the total number of the LEDs may be calculating the preset lighting number under the corresponding constant current output port number according to a ratio of the preset lighting number of the row driving group to the total number of the LEDs. Under the condition that the number of the constant current output ports of each driving circuit is the same, the calculated preset lighting number can be updated to all the driving circuits, and each driving circuit can judge whether the LED state detection needs to be carried out on the LEDs under the driving circuits based on the preset lighting number.
According to the display screen detection method, statistics and judgment of the required LED lamp numbers are issued to the driving circuits, and the required LED lamp numbers can be obtained under the condition that the control end cannot obtain the required LED lamp numbers by counting the required LED lamp numbers of each driving circuit, so that the required LED lamp numbers are obtained under the condition of different structures.
In one embodiment, when the display unit is a driving circuit, the obtaining the required LED number of the current scan line of the display unit includes:
acquiring display data of a current scanning line of the driving circuit;
and determining the required LED number of the current scanning line of the driving circuit based on the display data.
The display data may be data that needs to be displayed by the driving circuit at the current moment in the current scanning line, and in a specific embodiment, the display data may be gray-scale data.
The number of required LEDs of the current scan line of the driving circuit is determined based on the display data, for example, if the display data of the current scan line of the driving circuit is lighted by using a "1", the number of "1" in the display data is counted to determine the number of required LEDs.
In order to more clearly illustrate the technical solution of the present application, the present application also provides a detailed embodiment. In one embodiment, as shown in fig. 3, there is provided a display screen detection method, including:
detecting the number n of LEDs to be lighted in the next row 0
Before the LEDs of the row are lighted, n is judged 0 Whether the threshold value n is not more than or equal to; if yes, the open circuit detection enabling is effective and works normally; and sending an open-circuit enabling signal to detect the state of the LED, and closing constant current driving of the target LED when the target LED with abnormal state is detected; if not, the open circuit detection enabling is invalid, and the open circuit detection is suspended.
The LED of the current row is illuminated.
Wherein the threshold n may be calculated according to the following formula:
wherein n is the number of the LED lamps which are lighted; VDD is the row supply voltage for the current scan row; v (V) OS Is a preset voltage; v (V) F The forward conduction voltage drop of the LED lamp is realized; i 0 Constant current for a single LED lamp; r is R H Is the circuit resistance of the row driving control circuit.
The number n of LEDs required to be lightened for one line in the LED display system cannot be timely obtained at the control end due to different system structures and the like 0 In the case of (a), the display data of each driving circuit may be acquired and counted, and the respective LED states may be detected in units of one or more driving circuits.
Taking whether the LED state detection and judgment are performed in a single driving circuit as an example, the current constant current output port number of the driving circuit, the current scanning line LED total number of the line driving group and the current scanning line maximum lighting quantity threshold value of the line driving group can be obtained, and the lighting LED lamp threshold value n' of the current driving circuit can be obtained by calculating based on the following formula:
where n is the maximum lighting number threshold of the current row, and n' is the threshold of the lighting LED lamp of the current driving circuit.
According to the display screen detection method, the required LED number of the current scanning line of the display unit is obtained; determining whether to perform LED state detection according to the required LED quantity and the preset lighting quantity; if yes, carrying out state detection on the required LEDs of the current scanning line of the display unit, determining whether to carry out LED state detection according to the number of the required LEDs, avoiding influencing the LED state detection under the condition that the required LEDs are too many, and simultaneously carrying out detection under the condition that the number of the required LEDs meets the condition, thereby achieving the effect of improving the accuracy of abnormal detection of the LEDs; detecting the working voltage of each required LED; the LED with the working voltage smaller than the preset voltage is determined to be an abnormal LED, whether the LED has an open circuit or not can be judged, and the state detection of the LED is realized; the LED state detection is carried out when the required LED quantity is smaller than or equal to the preset lighting quantity, and the LED state detection is not carried out when the required LED quantity is larger than the preset lighting quantity, so that the influence of the excessive required LED quantity on the LED state detection can be avoided; the preset lighting quantity is calculated through the line power supply voltage, the preset voltage, the forward conduction voltage drop of the LED lamp, the circuit resistance value of the line driving control circuit and the LED constant current, the lighting lamp quantity which is not misjudged can be calculated according to the current condition of the current scanning line, and the range of the LED lighting quantity can be determined to a large extent so as to ensure the normal detection of the LED; through the statistics and the judgement with the demand LED quantity issue to drive circuit go on, can avoid because of the too big data volume of display data, lead to the untimely situation of statistics, can confirm more soon whether need carry out the LED state detection, reach the effect that improves the timeliness of LED state detection.
