It should be noted that the terms "first," "second," and the like in the description and the claims of the present invention and the above figures are used for distinguishing between similar objects and not necessarily for describing a particular sequential or chronological order. It is to be understood that the data so used may be interchanged where appropriate such that the embodiments of the invention described herein may be implemented in sequences other than those illustrated or otherwise described herein. Furthermore, the terms "comprises," "comprising," and "having," and any variations thereof, are intended to cover a non-exclusive inclusion, such that a process, method, system, article, or server that comprises a list of steps or elements is not necessarily limited to those steps or elements expressly listed or inherent to such process, method, article, or apparatus, but may include other steps or elements not expressly listed or inherent to such process, method, article, or apparatus.
Before introducing the technical solutions of the present application, the following first describes relevant knowledge of the present application:
quality of service (Quality of Service, qoS) flows (flows) are the finest QoS differentiation granularity in protocol data unit (Protocol Data Unit, PDU) sessions, which may include different QoS flows. In a 5G communication system, qoS flows are controlled by session management functions (Session Management Function, SMF), which may be preconfigured or established through PDU session establishment procedures or PDU session modification procedures.
Wherein the SMF determines the following information for each QoS flow:
1. a QoS flow configuration (QoS profile) comprising QoS parameters for the QoS flow: 5G QoS identification (5G QoS Identifier,5QI), allocation and retention priority (Allocation and Retention Priority, ARP), code rate requirements, etc. QoS profile is mainly addressed to the base station for use, and is of QoS flow level.
2. One or more QoS rules, wherein the QoS rules are mainly flow description information for detecting a service data flow and a QoS Flow Identifier (QFI) for transmitting the service data flow, and the QoS rules are sent to a terminal device for use, and are mainly used for detecting uplink data.
3. One or more packet detection rules and corresponding QoS execution rules mainly include flow description information for detecting a service data flow and an identifier QFI for transmitting a QoS flow of the service data flow, and the QFI is sent to a user plane function (User Plane Function, UPF) network element for use, and is mainly used for detecting downlink data, but can also be used for detecting and controlling uplink data on a network side.
The technical problems to be solved by the technical proposal of the application are described below:
currently, the capability opening function supported by the 5G mobile communication network mainly opens the information of the network to the application server through the capability opening function network element or the policy control network element of the 5G core network. However, it is not clear how to support the information release capability of the terminal, that is, how to effectively release the information of the terminal to the application server, so as to improve the service experience of the user, and an effective solution is not yet available.
In order to solve the above technical problem, the present application proposes that an information opening module may be supported in a terminal device, that is, the terminal device includes: and the information opening module can be called by each Application client (APP) of the terminal equipment according to the requirement, and the information opening module is triggered to report the information of the terminal equipment to the Application server.
It should be understood that the application server may also be referred to as a service server in this application, which is not limited in this application.

Fig. 1 exemplarily shows that one terminal device, one application server, and one terminal device include three application clients, alternatively, a plurality of terminal devices and a plurality of application servers may be included in the network architecture, and each terminal device may include at least one application client, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application.
The technical scheme of the application will be described in detail as follows:
fig. 2 is an interaction flow chart of a communication method provided in the embodiment of the present application, where the method may be executed by an information opening module in a terminal device, any one of application clients, and an application server corresponding to the application client. As shown in fig. 2, the method may include:
s210: the application client sends an information opening request to the information opening module, wherein the information opening request is used for requesting the information opening module to open target information to an application server corresponding to the application client;
s220: the information opening module sends the target information to the application server.
Optionally, the application client may be any application client on the terminal device that needs to initiate a service, where the service may be a video service, a telephone service, a sms service, a social service, a game service, a payment service, a web browsing service, a multimedia service, a traffic service, and the application is not limited in this regard.
Alternatively, the application client may send an information opening request to the information opening module when the application client determines that a service needs to be initiated or is in progress.
Optionally, when the application client determines that the service needs to be initiated, when the terminal device has not established a QoS flow for the service, the terminal device may initiate a PDU session establishment procedure or a PDU session modification procedure according to an existing specification to establish the QoS flow of the service, and further, the application client may send service data to an application server corresponding to the application client through the QoS flow; when the terminal equipment establishes the QoS flow for the service, the application client can send the service data to the application server corresponding to the application client through the QoS flow.
In one implementation, the target information may be at least one information of the terminal device, for example: the target information includes at least one of: the radio cell information, radio signal strength, power information, network congestion information, slice information of a session, DNN information of a session, SSC mode information, etc. where the terminal device is located are not limited thereto.
In another implementation manner, the target information may be at least one type of information of the terminal device, for example: the target information includes at least one of: the air interface information of the terminal device, the power information of the terminal device, the network congestion information, the session level information, etc., but is not limited thereto.
Optionally, the air interface information of the terminal device includes at least one of the following, but is not limited thereto: the wireless cell information, the wireless signal strength and the wireless transmission technology adopted by the terminal equipment. The wireless transmission technology may be, for example, a fourth generation (the 4th Generation,4G) mobile communication technology, a fifth generation (the 5th Generation,5G) mobile communication technology, or a wireless fidelity (Wireless Fidelity, wiFi) technology.
Optionally, the session level information of the terminal device includes at least one of the following, but is not limited thereto: slice information of session, DNN information, SSC pattern information, etc.
The target information is used for guaranteeing the service quality of the application client.
Optionally, the application server may determine, according to the target information, a size of a service transmission resource allocated by the application server to the terminal device, thereby ensuring service quality of the application client. For example, when the priority of the radio cell in which the terminal device is located is higher, the application server allocates more traffic transmission resources to the terminal device so that the service quality of the application client is better. For another example, when the signal strength of the radio cell in which the terminal device is located is stronger, the application server allocates more traffic transmission resources to the terminal device so that the service quality of the application client is better.
Optionally, the information opening request may include: and identifying the target information.
Optionally, the information opening request may further include: source internet protocol (Internet Protocol, IP) address, destination IP address of the service, which the application client needs to initiate.
Alternatively, a PDU session of a terminal device may correspond to a source IP address, and the source IP address of a service herein refers to the source IP address of the service on the terminal device when sending data packets on the corresponding PDU session. The destination IP address of the service is the IP address of the application server.
Optionally, the information opening request may further include: the source port number and the destination port number of the traffic.
Optionally, the information opening request further includes: the information reporting condition of the terminal device refers to the reporting condition of the target information.
Optionally, the reporting condition of the target information includes at least one of the following, but is not limited thereto: reporting frequency of target information, maximum reporting times of the target information, reporting threshold value of the target information and the like. The reporting threshold may be that the measured value of the target information is higher or lower than the threshold and needs to be reported.
Alternatively, if there is one target information, the reporting condition of the target information may be the reporting condition of the one target information.
For example, it is assumed that the target information is power information of the terminal device, and the reporting frequency of the power information of the terminal device is that the power information is reported once every two seconds, and the information opening module may report the power information of the terminal device once every two seconds.
For example, it is assumed that the target information is power information of the terminal device, and the maximum number of times of reporting of the power information of the terminal device is 5, at this time, the information opening module may report the power information of the terminal device to the application server 5 times at most.
For example, assume that the target information is the power information of the terminal device, and the reporting threshold value corresponding to the power information is 30%, and the information opening module measures that the power of the terminal is lower than 30% and needs to report the target information.
For example, assuming that the target information is the power information of the terminal device, and the reporting frequency of the power information of the terminal device is that the reporting is performed once every two seconds, the maximum reporting number of the power information of the terminal device is 5 times, and at this time, the information opening module may report the power information of the terminal device once every two seconds, and report the power information of the terminal device to the application server at most 5 times.
It is assumed, for example, that the target information is the power information of the terminal device, and the reporting frequency of the power information of the terminal device is to report once every two seconds, the reporting threshold value corresponding to the electric quantity information is 30%, and the information opening module can report the electric quantity information of the terminal equipment once every two seconds after the electric quantity of the terminal is lower than 30%.
For example, assume that the target information is the power information of the terminal device, and the maximum reporting number of times of the power information of the terminal device is 5 times, and the reporting threshold value corresponding to the power information is 30%, when the power of the terminal is measured to be lower than 30%, and the reporting number of times of the power information of the terminal device is smaller than 5 times, the power information of the terminal device is reported.
For example, assuming that the target information is the power information of the terminal device, and the reporting frequency of the power information of the terminal device is that the reporting is performed once every two seconds, the maximum reporting times of the power information of the terminal device is 5 times, and the reporting threshold value corresponding to the power information is 30%, the information opening module may report the power information of the terminal device once every two seconds, and the power information of the terminal device needs to be satisfied when the power information is reported every time, and the current reporting times are less than 5 times.
Alternatively, if there are a plurality of target information, the reporting condition of the target information may be a reporting condition for each target information.
For example, assume that the target information includes: the wireless cell information and the wireless signal intensity of the terminal equipment are provided, the reporting frequency of the wireless cell information is that the wireless cell information is reported once every 2 seconds, and the reporting frequency of the wireless signal intensity is that the wireless signal intensity is reported once every 3 seconds. Based on the information, the information opening module respectively and independently reports the two pieces of information, and reports the wireless cell information according to the frequency of reporting once every 2 seconds, and reports the wireless signal strength according to the frequency of reporting once every 3 seconds.
For example, assume that the target information includes: the terminal equipment is provided with wireless cell information and wireless signal intensity, and the maximum reporting number of the wireless cell information is 5 times, and the maximum reporting number of the wireless signal intensity is 4 times. Based on the information, the information opening module independently reports the two pieces of information, and the maximum application server reports 5 times of wireless cell information and the maximum application server reports 4 times of wireless signal strength.
For example, assume that the target information includes: the wireless signal intensity of the terminal equipment and the electric quantity information of the terminal equipment are located, the reporting threshold value corresponding to the wireless signal intensity is 80dBm, the reporting threshold value corresponding to the electric quantity information is 30% of the electric quantity, and when the current measured wireless signal intensity of the information opening module is greater than 80dBm, the information opening module reports the wireless signal intensity. When the current measured electric quantity of the terminal equipment is lower than 30%, the information opening module reports the electric quantity information of the terminal equipment.
Alternatively, if there are a plurality of pieces of target information, the information opening module may consider the plurality of pieces of target information as a whole, and the reporting condition of the target information may be a reporting condition for the whole.
For example, assume that the target information includes: the wireless cell information and the wireless signal intensity of the terminal equipment are reported once every 2 seconds. Based on the information, the information opening module reports the wireless cell information and the wireless signal strength at the same time according to the frequency of reporting once every 2 seconds.
For example, assume that the target information includes: the maximum reporting times of the wireless cell information and the wireless signal intensity are 5 times. Based on the information, the information opening module reports the wireless cell information and the wireless signal strength to the application server for 5 times at most.
Alternatively, the above S220 may be implemented by any of the following realizations, but is not limited thereto:
in one implementation manner, after the information opening module receives the information opening request, the information opening module may directly send the target information to the application server.
As shown in fig. 3, the step S220 may include:
s310: the information opening module determines whether to agree to open the target information to the application server;
accordingly, S220 may include:
S320: and when the information opening module determines that the target information is agreed to be opened to the application server, the information opening module sends the target information to the application server.
In one implementation, the information opening module may obtain a network policy of the terminal device; and determining whether to agree to open the target information to the application server according to the network policy of the terminal device.
Alternatively, the network policy of the terminal device may include indication information for indicating whether to open the target information, and the information opening module may determine whether to agree to open the target information to the application server based on the indication information. If the network policy of the terminal device includes first indication information for indicating to open target information to the application server, the information opening module determines to agree to open target information to the application server; if the network policy of the terminal device includes second indication information for indicating that the target information is not opened to the application server, the information opening module determines that the target information is not authorized to be opened to the application server.
For example, assume that the network policy of the terminal device may include: the method comprises the steps of wireless cell information, wireless signal strength, electric quantity information, network congestion information, slice information of a session, DNN information of the session, SSC mode information and indication information corresponding to each information and used for indicating whether the information is opened to an application server, wherein when the indication information takes a value of 0, the information is indicated not to be opened to the application server, and when the indication information takes a value of 1, the information is indicated to be opened to the application server. And assuming that the target information is wireless signal strength, and when the corresponding indication information is 1, determining that the target information is agreed to be opened to the application server by the information opening module.
As another example, assume that the network policy of the terminal device may include: the following types of information of the terminal device: air interface information of terminal equipment, electric quantity information of the terminal equipment, network congestion information, session level information and the like and indication information corresponding to each type of information, wherein when the indication information corresponding to certain type of information takes a value of 0, the information is indicated not to be opened to the application server, and when the indication information corresponding to certain type of information takes a value of 1, the information is indicated to be opened to the application server. And assuming that the target information is air interface information of the terminal equipment, and when the indication information corresponding to the information is 0, the information opening module determines that the target information is not agreed to be opened to the application server.
Optionally, the network policy of the terminal device may include: the information opening module determines to agree to open the target information to the application server if the target information is included in the opening permission information in the network policy of the terminal equipment; if the allowed open information in the network policy of the terminal equipment does not include the target information, the information open module determines that the target information is not agreed to be opened to the application server.
For example, assume that the network policy of the terminal device may include: at least one message allowing opening, comprising: the information of the wireless cell, the wireless signal strength where the terminal equipment is located, and the target information is assumed to be the wireless signal strength, and the information opening module determines that the target information is agreed to be opened to the application server because the information is in at least one information which is allowed to be opened.
As another example, assume that the network policy of the terminal device may include: at least one type of information that allows for openness, including: and the air interface information of the terminal equipment, which is assumed to be wireless signal strength, indicates that the information opening module determines to agree to open the target information to the application server because the information belongs to the air interface information and is in at least one type of information which is allowed to be opened.
Optionally, the network policy of the terminal device includes: the target information allows the identification of an application client or classes that are open.
For example, assume that the network policy of the terminal device may include: and the wireless cell information is allowed to be opened to the application client A, and the representation information opening module determines that the wireless cell information is agreed to be opened to an application server corresponding to the application client A.
Optionally, the network policy of the terminal device includes: the identity of at least one application client and the information of the terminal devices to which these application clients are each allowed to open.
For example, assuming that the target information is power information of the terminal device, the network policy of the terminal device includes: and allowing the information to be opened to the application client B, wherein the application client B needing to initiate the service represents that the information opening module determines the electric quantity information of the terminal equipment which is agreed to be opened to the application server corresponding to the application client B.
Optionally, the network policy of the terminal device may be a network policy defined when the terminal device leaves the factory, or may come from a core network side, for example: the session management function network element may obtain the network policy from the policy control function network element and send the network policy to the terminal device. For another example, the session management function network element may obtain subscription information of the terminal device from the subscription information storage network element, and generate the network policy according to the subscription information.
Alternatively, the session management function element may be an SMF element in a 5G network, or may be an element having a similar function to the SMF element, which is not limited in this application.
Alternatively, the policy control function network element may be a policy control function (Policy Control Function, PCF) network element in the 5G network, or may be a network element having a similar function to the PCF network element, which is not limited in this application.
Alternatively, the subscription information storage network element may be a unified data management (Unified Data Management, UDM) or a home subscriber server (Home Subscriber Server, HSS), or the like, or a network element having a similar function to both network elements, which is not limited in this application.
In one implementation manner, the information opening module may acquire subscription information of the terminal device; and determining whether to agree to open the target information to the application server according to the subscription information of the terminal equipment.
Alternatively, the subscription information of the terminal device may include indication information for indicating whether to open the target information, and the indication information may be used for indicating whether to open the target information to the application server. If the subscription information of the terminal equipment comprises first indication information for indicating to open target information to the application server, the information opening module determines to agree to open the target information to the application server; if the subscription information of the terminal device includes second indication information for indicating that the target information is not opened to the application server, the information opening module determines that the target information is not authorized to be opened to the application server.
It should be understood that this alternative manner is similar to the case where the network policy of the terminal device described above may include indication information for indicating whether to open the target information, so reference may be made to the above example for an example of this alternative manner, which is not repeated in the present application.
Alternatively, the subscription information of the terminal device may include: the information opening module determines to agree to open the target information to the application server if the target information is included in the opening permission information in the subscription information of the terminal equipment; if the permission opening information in the subscription information of the terminal equipment does not include the target information, the information opening module determines that the target information is not agreed to be opened to the application server.
It should be understood that this alternative manner is similar to the case where the network policy of the terminal device may include the allowed open information, and thus, for an example of this alternative manner, reference may be made to the above example, which is not repeated herein.
Optionally, the subscription information of the terminal device includes: the target information allows the identification of an application client or classes that are open.
Optionally, the subscription information of the terminal device includes: the identity of at least one application client and the information of the terminal devices to which these application clients are each allowed to open.
It should be understood that this alternative manner is similar to the case where the network policy of the above-mentioned terminal device may include an identifier of a certain application client or certain types of application clients to which the target information is allowed to be opened, or include an identifier of at least one application client and information of the terminal device to which each of these application clients is allowed to be opened, so that the above-mentioned example may be referred to for an example of this alternative manner, which is not repeated herein.
Optionally, as shown in fig. 4, after S310, the method may further include:
s330: the information opening module sends an information opening response to the application client, wherein the information opening response is used for indicating whether the information opening module agrees to open target information to the application server.
It should be understood that the embodiment of the present application does not limit the execution sequence of S320 and S330.
Alternatively, when the information opening module determines that it agrees to open the target information to the application server, it may send a first information opening response to the application client, where the first information opening response is used to indicate that the information opening module agrees to open the target information to the application server. When the information opening module determines that it does not agree to open the target information to the application server, it may send a second information opening response to the application client, the second information opening response being used to indicate that the information opening module does not agree to open the target information to the application server.
Alternatively, when the information opening module determines that it does not agree to open the target information to the application server, the information opening module may also send a cause value to the application server that does not agree to open the target information to the application server. For example, the cause value is 0, which indicates that the reason for disagreeing to open the target information to the application server is that the target information cannot be opened in the network policy of the terminal device; when the cause value is 1, it may indicate that the terminal does not support acquiring the target information.
Alternatively, the destination information may be carried in a destination data packet, where the source address of the destination data packet is an IP address used by the information opening module or an IP address used by the application client, and the destination address of the destination data packet is a destination IP address of the service.
It should be understood that, the IP address used by the information opening module refers to the IP address allocated by the network side for the PDU session related to the information opening module when reporting information, the IP address used by the application client refers to the IP address allocated by the network side for the PDU session related to the service, and the destination IP address of the service refers to the IP address of the application server corresponding to the client initiating the service.
Through the technical scheme provided by the application client can send the information opening request to the information opening module, and the information opening module can send the target information to the application server. That is, the technical scheme provided by the application supports the information opening function of the terminal side, so that the application server can better realize service scheduling based on the function.
Fig. 5 is an interactive flowchart of another communication method provided in the embodiment of the present application, where the method may be executed by an information opening module in a terminal device, any one of application clients, an application server corresponding to the application client, a base station, an authentication management function network element, a session management function network element, and a user plane function network element. As shown in fig. 5, the method may include:
s510: the terminal equipment sends indication information to a session management function network element, wherein the indication information is used for indicating that the terminal equipment has an information opening function;
