The retransmission threshold dynamic adjustment method in non-ground network transmission can be used for adjusting the retransmission time threshold used for determining whether to send a retransmission packet in HARQ under the condition that terminal equipment performs wireless network communication.
In the retransmission threshold dynamic adjustment method in non-terrestrial network transmission provided in the embodiment of the present application, the execution subject of each step may be a computer device, where the computer device refers to any electronic device having data computing, processing and storage capabilities, for example, a terminal device such as a mobile phone, a PC (Personal Computer, a personal computer), a tablet computer, or a device such as a server, which is not limited in this embodiment of the present application.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart of a method for dynamically adjusting a retransmission threshold in non-terrestrial network transmission according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1, specifically including:
step S101, determining the orbit type of the currently connected satellite under the condition that the terminal equipment is detected to adopt a non-ground network for data transmission.
NTN (Non Terrestrial Network, non-terrestrial network) is a generic term for all networks involving flying objects, including satellite communication networks, high-altitude platform systems, and air-to-ground networks, among others. The satellite communication network relies on a satellite-borne platform, including low-orbit satellites, medium-orbit satellites and geosynchronous orbit satellites; the high-altitude platform system is borne on an airborne platform, comprises an airplane, a balloon and an airship, takes a high-altitude platform station as a mobile communication base station and provides mobile service by using the same frequency band of a ground mobile network. The NTN network may be deployed alone or in addition to the terrestrial network. The method can be widely applied to the fields of traffic, public safety, electronic health, agriculture, finance, automobiles and the like due to the wide service coverage capability, robustness and flexibility for coping with physical attacks or natural disasters.
In one embodiment, the orbit type of the currently connected satellite is determined in case it is detected that the terminal device uses a non-terrestrial network for data transmission. Optionally, the orbit type includes a low orbit satellite, a middle orbit satellite, a geosynchronous orbit satellite and the like, which represents the orbit of the connected satellite, and the communication delay condition of the terminal device and the satellite is indirectly represented due to different heights of different orbits from the earth surface. Optionally, the communication connection information may be obtained through a communication related interface of the terminal device, so as to obtain a current communication connection mode, and determine a currently connected satellite. Alternatively, the type of orbit of the currently connected satellite may be determined based on the identification of the connected satellite or a separately recorded ephemeris file.
Step S102, determining a corresponding retransmission threshold interval according to the track type, wherein the retransmission threshold interval records a retransmission time threshold for comparison during data packet retransmission.
In one embodiment, after determining the track type, a corresponding retransmission threshold interval is determined according to the track type. The retransmission threshold interval records a retransmission time threshold for comparison during data packet retransmission. Optionally, in the data retransmission processing mechanism, after the data transmitting end sends out the data packet, if the response of the opposite end is not received within a certain period of time, the opposite end is judged to not receive the data packet, and retransmission of the data packet is correspondingly performed, wherein the period of time for judging is recorded as a retransmission time threshold.
Alternatively, the retransmission time threshold recorded in the retransmission threshold interval may be a continuous value or a discrete value, which is exemplified by a discrete value, and may include three values, namely, a retransmission minimum threshold, a retransmission middle threshold and a retransmission maximum threshold.
In one embodiment, the corresponding retransmission threshold interval is determined and recorded in advance based on the transmission delay of the terminal device when transmitting data through satellites of different orbit types. That is, retransmission threshold sections are configured in advance for different satellite orbit types. When determining the retransmission threshold section, the retransmission threshold section can be determined according to the transmission delay of the satellite with the orbit type when transmitting data, for example, taking the transmission delay as the round trip transmission delay, and adding the round trip transmission delay and the two endpoints of the original retransmission threshold section to obtain the retransmission threshold section. Naturally, if the value is discrete, the original discrete value is added with the round trip transmission delay to obtain a retransmission threshold interval.
Step S103, determining the current data packet congestion condition of the terminal equipment, and selecting a retransmission time threshold value in the retransmission threshold value interval according to the data packet congestion condition.
In one embodiment, after determining the retransmission threshold interval, a retransmission time threshold is further determined based on the current packet congestion condition of the terminal device.
Optionally, fig. 2 is a flowchart of a method for determining congestion of a data packet according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 2, including:
step S1031, obtaining the current retransmission process number of the terminal device and the data length of the retransmission queue.
The retransmission process may be an HARQ process, and retransmission of the data packet may be performed independently by each individual retransmission process, where multiple retransmission processes implement parallel data retransmission. The retransmission queue may be an average value of data lengths of queues configured independently for each retransmission process, or may be a total data length of a queue.
Step S1032, determining the current data packet congestion condition of the terminal equipment according to the retransmission process number and the data length of the retransmission queue.
And when the congestion condition of the data packet is determined, determining the number of retransmission processes and the data length of a retransmission queue. Alternatively, one way of determining may be: determining that the current data packet congestion condition is congestion under the condition that the data length of the retransmission queue is larger than the preset length and the number of retransmission processes is smaller than the preset number; determining that the current data packet congestion condition is normal under the condition that the data length of the retransmission queue is larger than the preset length and the number of retransmission processes is not smaller than the preset number; determining that the current data packet congestion condition is not congestion under the condition that the data length of the retransmission queue is not greater than the preset length and the number of retransmission processes is not less than the preset number; and under the condition that the data length of the retransmission queue is not greater than the preset length and the number of retransmission processes is smaller than the preset number, determining that the current data packet congestion condition is normal. And determining whether the congestion condition of the data packet is normal, congestion or non-congestion according to the specific different retransmission process number and the data length of the retransmission queue. The preset length and the preset number can be preset or adaptively set according to actual transmission conditions.
In one embodiment, after determining a packet congestion condition, a retransmission time threshold is selected within the retransmission threshold interval based on the packet congestion condition. Optionally, taking an example that the retransmission threshold interval includes a retransmission minimum threshold, a retransmission middle threshold and a retransmission maximum threshold, the selection manner may be: selecting the retransmission minimum threshold value and the retransmission time threshold value under the condition that the data packet is congested; selecting the retransmission intermediate threshold value and the retransmission time threshold value under the condition that the data packet congestion condition is normal; and selecting the retransmission maximum threshold value and the retransmission time threshold value under the condition that the data packet is not congested.
Step S104, triggering retransmission of the data packet based on the retransmission time threshold and the transmission time of the data packet.
In one embodiment, after determining the retransmission time threshold, the retransmission time threshold is used as a time basis for judging whether to send the retransmission packet, and when the sending time of the data packet passes the time length corresponding to the retransmission time threshold and the response packet is not received yet, the retransmission of the data packet is triggered.
The method comprises the steps that under the condition that the fact that the terminal equipment adopts a non-ground network to conduct data transmission is detected, the track type of a currently connected satellite is determined; determining a corresponding retransmission threshold interval according to the track type, wherein the retransmission threshold interval records a retransmission time threshold for comparison during data packet retransmission; determining the current data packet congestion condition of the terminal equipment, and selecting a retransmission time threshold value in the retransmission threshold value interval according to the data packet congestion condition; and triggering retransmission of the data packet based on the retransmission time threshold and the transmission time of the data packet. The scheme solves the problems of fixed retransmission time threshold value, lack of a reasonable adjustment mechanism and low data transmission efficiency in most of the hybrid automatic retransmission request mechanisms in the prior art, can adaptively adjust the retransmission time threshold value according to the orbit type of the satellite, and optimizes a network communication mechanism.
Fig. 3 is a flowchart of another method for dynamically adjusting retransmission threshold in non-terrestrial network transmission according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 3, including:
step S201, determining the orbit type of the currently connected satellite under the condition that the terminal equipment is detected to adopt a non-ground network for data transmission.
Step S202, determining a corresponding retransmission threshold interval according to the track type, wherein the retransmission threshold interval records a retransmission time threshold for comparison during data packet retransmission.
Step 203, determining the current data packet congestion condition of the terminal device, and selecting a retransmission time threshold value in the retransmission threshold value interval according to the data packet congestion condition.
Step S204, triggering retransmission of the data packet based on the retransmission time threshold and the transmission time of the data packet.
Step 205, recovering the retransmission time threshold as a system default value when detecting that the terminal device adopts the ground network to perform data transmission.
In one embodiment, when the terminal device is detected to use the ground network for data transmission, the threshold value of the response recovery retransmission time is a default value of the system. The default system value may be a value originally configured in the HARQ mechanism. The scheme realizes the adjustment of the self-adaptive retransmission threshold value according to different network connection conditions.

In one embodiment, when using a non-terrestrial network for data transmission, upon establishing a communication connection with a satellite, the connected satellite is determined based on the current location of the terminal device and the historical signal-to-noise ratio in the recorded list of satellites. Optionally, a satellite with a high historical signal to noise ratio is selected to establish a communication connection. Thereby further ensuring the communication quality of data transmission of the non-ground network.
Step S302, determining the orbit type of the currently connected satellite under the condition that the terminal equipment is detected to adopt a non-ground network for data transmission.
Step S303, determining a corresponding retransmission threshold interval according to the track type, wherein the retransmission threshold interval records a retransmission time threshold for comparison during data packet retransmission.
