The usage of the target flow rate includes at least one of a total amount/total duration that the target flow rate has used, and a total amount/total duration that the target flow rate remains.
In addition, the second PCF network element may also establish an association of the target traffic with an SM (Session Management ) policy; and updating the SM strategy associated with the target flow according to the monitoring report of the use condition of the target flow.
In step 180, the first PCF network element updates the target parameters of the non-session management policy according to the monitoring report of the usage of the target traffic fed back by the target second PCF network element.
If the non-session management policy is an AM policy, updating the target parameters of the non-session management policy includes, but is not limited to: at least one of a service area restriction (SAR, serving area restriction) of the user equipment, an Index (RFSP Index, (Index to Radio Access Type/Frequency Selection Priority) of a radio access type/frequency selection priority, a user aggregate maximum code rate (UE-AMBR, UE-Aggregate Maximum Bit Rate), and a user Slice aggregate maximum code rate (UE Slice-AMBR) is updated.

According to the embodiment of the disclosure, through the PCF network element for the user equipment, the association of the user equipment and the non-session management strategy is established, the association relation between the updating of the target parameter of the non-session management strategy and the use condition of the target flow is obtained, the PCF network element for the session bound with the target flow is found, and the target flow is subscribed to the PCF network element for the user equipment, so that the PCF network element for the user equipment obtains the use condition of the target flow from the PCF network element for the session, and the target parameter of the non-session management strategy can be updated accordingly. That is, PCF network elements for user equipment have the ability to adjust non-session management policies such as AM policies, UE policies, etc. according to the usage of the target traffic of the user.
Fig. 2 illustrates a flow diagram of a non-session management policy update method of some embodiments of the present disclosure.
As shown in fig. 2, the non-session management policy updating method of this embodiment includes the following steps.
Step 200: the NEF (Network Exposure Function, network opening function) network element receives a non-session management policy (such as an AM policy or a UE policy) related request sent by the service provider through the AF network element, carries restriction information such as the consumption of the target traffic/the use duration, and stores the association relation between the update of the target parameter of the non-session management policy and the use condition of the target traffic into the UDR.
Step 210: after the user equipment is online through the AMF (Access and Mobility Management Function ), the first PCF network element establishes the association between the user equipment and the non-session management policy, and registers the binding relationship between the first PCF network element and the user equipment to the BSF.
Step 220: the first PCF network element reads the association relation between the update of the target parameter of the non-session management policy and the use condition of the target traffic from the UDR, so that it knows that the use condition of the target traffic triggers the update of the target parameter of the non-session management policy.
Step 230: the second PCF network element corresponding to the target traffic is referred to as a target second PCF network element. After the target second PCF network element establishes the association between the target flow and the SM policy, the service relationship between the target flow and the target second PCF network element is bound to the BSF network element.
After the target second PCF network element establishes the association between the target flow and the SM policy, the SM policy associated with the target flow can be updated according to the service requirement and the monitoring report of the service condition of the target flow.
Step 240: the first PCF network element discovers a target second PCF network element bound with the monitored target traffic through the BSF.
Step 250: the first PCF network element sends a subscription request to the target second PCF network element, and subscribes to a monitoring report of the target flow. If multiple target second PCF network elements are involved, the first PCF network element needs to initiate a subscription request to the multiple target second PCF network elements.
Step 260: the target second PCF network element forwards the subscription request to the SMF.
Step 270: the SMF monitors the usage of the target traffic according to the subscription request, and when the target traffic reaches the reported threshold or time point, sends a monitoring report of the usage of the target traffic to the target second PCF network element, for example, reports information such as total amount/total duration of used target traffic, total amount/total duration of remaining target traffic, and the like.
Step 280: the target second PCF network element sends the monitoring report to the first PCF network element, so that the first PCF network element knows the use condition of the target traffic, for example, the total amount/total duration of the used target traffic, the total amount/total duration of the remaining target traffic, and the like.
Step 290: and the first PCF network element updates the target parameters of the non-session management strategy according to the monitoring report of the use condition of the target flow fed back by the target second PCF network element.
If the updating of the target parameters of the non-session management strategy involves a plurality of target flows of a plurality of target second PCF network elements, the first PCF network element needs to subscribe corresponding target flows to each target second PCF network element, then a plurality of monitoring reports of the use conditions of the plurality of target flows fed back by the plurality of target second PCF network elements are integrated, and the target parameters of the non-session management strategy are updated according to the integration result of the plurality of monitoring reports.
In addition, when the association of the user equipment with the non-session management policy is terminated, the first PCF network element feeds back the use condition of the target traffic associated with the target parameter of the non-session management policy to the UDR.
And the third party application service provider requests the operator to take the consumption/use time of the traffic as a trigger condition according to the traffic protocol signed by the user, and dynamically adjusts the AM strategy or the UE strategy of the user and other non-session management strategies so as to ensure that the user can obtain better service experience when using the application. However, according to the conventional art, the third party application server cannot specify the actual flow or the duration of use by the user.
The operator can dynamically adjust the AM strategy of the user or the non-session management strategy such as the UE strategy according to the traffic protocol signed by the user, the usage amount/the usage duration of the user traffic and the like.
Examples are listed below.
The UE policy, for example, urs, may instruct the UE to select a particular slice for a particular traffic. For example, if the traffic packet purchased by the user has an exclusive slice service for 200 minutes, the first PCF network element may issue a specific urs policy to direct the UE to preferentially select an exclusive slice before the traffic packet satisfies the 200 minute use time period; after 200 minutes, the second PCF network element reports to the first PCF network element that the remaining amount of the traffic packet is 0, and the first PCF traffic packet modifies the urs p, indicating the UE to use other slices.
The AM policy, for example, is a service area restriction for the user, and may instruct the UE to select a specific service area for a specific traffic. When the specific traffic is not overtime or exceeds the usage limit, the first PCF network element can issue a policy, which indicates that the UE can use the specific traffic in the specific service area, and when the specific traffic is overtime or exceeds the usage limit, the second PCF network element reports to the first PCF network element, and the first PCF network element adjusts the policy, which indicates that the UE cannot use the specific traffic in the specific service area.
