Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present disclosure will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present disclosure.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, the descriptions of "first," "second," and the like in this disclosure are used for distinguishing between different objects and are not used for indicating a meaning of size or timing, etc.
Fig. 1 illustrates a flow diagram of a method of updating a non-session management related policy according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
As shown in fig. 1, the method for updating the non-session management related policy of this embodiment includes:
in step 110, a policy control function (PCF for UE) network element associated with the user equipment obtains subscription information, where the subscription information indicates that the policy control function network element associated with the user equipment is capable of making policy decisions based on policy counter status information in the charging function network element.
In step 120, the policy control function network element associated with the user equipment subscribes to the charging function network element for notification information of the change in state of the policy counter.
The policy control function network element related to the user equipment subscribes to the notification information of the state change of the policy counter to the charging function network element through an Nchf supporting limit control subscription (nchf_specinglimit control_subsciene) signaling.
In step 130, the charging function network element receives the notification information of the state change of the subscription policy counter sent by the policy control function network element related to the user equipment, and the charging function network element determines whether the state of the policy counter is changed.
Whether the policy counter status changes includes whether the user's payout reaches a threshold, e.g., whether the current cost reaches the user's monthly support budget, and whether the remaining balance reaches a limit.
In step 140, the charging function network element sends reporting information of the policy counter state change to the policy control function network element related to the user equipment when the policy counter state changes, for example, the expenditure of the user reaches a threshold value.
And the policy control function network element related to the user equipment receives report information of the state change of the policy counter sent by the charging function network element through an Nchf support limit control (Nchf_SPendingLimitControl) signaling.
The report information of the policy counter status change includes whether the payout reaches a threshold.
In step 150, the Policy control function network element related to the user equipment receives the report information of the state change of the Policy counter sent by the charging function network element, and updates at least one non-session management related Policy of the access and mobility policies (Access and Mobility Policy, AM Policy) and the user equipment policies according to the report information of the state change of the Policy counter.
The report information of the policy counter status change includes whether the payout reaches a threshold.
And degrading the access and mobility policies according to the report information of the state change of the policy counter, if the expenditure reaches a threshold value, or upgrading the access and mobility policies if the expenditure does not reach the threshold value.
Updating access and mobility policies includes: at least one of an aggregate maximum bit rate (UE-AMBR) of the User Equipment, UE-AMBR, and an aggregate maximum bit rate (slice-AMBR) of the network slice is upgraded or downgraded.
Updating the user equipment policy includes: the user routing policy is updated (UE Route Selection Policy, urs).
And according to the report information of the state change of the strategy counter, deleting the first user routing strategy accessing the preset resource and issuing a new second user routing strategy if the expenditure reaches a threshold value.
For example, the UE spends a certain cost, the network may issue a specific urs to allow the UE to access resources such as a specific DNN/S-nsai, and when the cost reaches a threshold, the CHF reports to the PCF for the UE, which may send a message to the UE to delete this specific urs so that the UE can no longer access the specific DNN/S-nsai.
The urs policy is used by the UE to determine whether a detected application can be associated with an established protocol data unit (PDU, protocol Data Unit) session, whether non-3 GPP access outside of the PDU session can be offloaded, or whether the establishment of a new PDU session can be triggered.
Each urs policy contains a traffic descriptor that determines when the urs policy applies. When each component in the service descriptor matches the corresponding information from the application, it is determined that the urs policy is applicable.
The urs rules include a traffic descriptor specifying matching conditions and one or more of the following components:
a) SSC mode selection strategy (sscmsmsp: SSC Mode Selection Policy): the UE uses the policy to associate the matching application with the SSC (session and service continuity ) pattern.
b) Network slice selection policy (NSSP: network Slice Selection Policy): is used by the UE to associate the matched application with the S-nsai (Single Network Slice Selection Assistance Information ).
c) DNN selection strategy: the UE uses the policy to associate the matching application with the DNN (Data Network Name ).
d) PDU session type policy: the UE uses the policy to associate the matched application with the PDU session type.
e) Non-seamless offload policies: the UE uses this policy to determine that the matching application should be offloaded to non-3 GPP access (i.e., outside of the PDU session) non-seamlessly.
f) Access type preference: if the UE needs to establish a PDU session for the matched application, this indicates the preferred access type (3 GPP or non-3 GPP or multiple access).
In step 160, if at least one of the access and mobility policy and the user equipment policy is updated, the user equipment related policy control function network element sends the updated at least one of the access and mobility policy and the user equipment policy to the access and mobility management function (Access and Mobility Management Function, AMF) network element.
If the access and mobility policies are updated, the policy control function network element related to the user equipment sends the updated access and mobility policies to the access and mobility management function network element; if the user equipment policy is updated, the user equipment related policy control function network element sends the updated user equipment policy to the user equipment through the access and mobility management function network element.
The embodiment supports a new interface between the PCF related to the UE and the CHF, the PCF related to the UE can be used as a consumer of the CHF, and the PCF related to the UE can acquire report information of a strategy counter state in the CHF through the new interface (when the residual balance reaches a limit value), and can update an AM strategy and a UE strategy according to the report information, such as degrading UE-AMBR and UE slice-AMBR or updating URSP rules, thereby meeting the control requirement of a non-session management related strategy based on expenditure limitation and realizing more flexible adjustment of the non-session management related strategy.
