Abstract
The present invention relates to an airbag device for an automobile, comprising: the airbag cushion restrains the whole upper body by taking shoulders on two sides of a passenger as the center when the automobile collides; an inflator generates gas by an impact sensing signal and supplies the gas to the airbag cushion when the automobile collides. The airbag cushion inflates and deploys from the rear side to the front side of the occupant, restraining the front of the occupant's upper body and both sides of the head. When the automobile collides, the airbag cushion is inflated and deployed on the front and both sides of the passenger, so that the passenger can be protected.

Technical Field
The present invention relates to an automobile airbag device, and more particularly, to an automobile airbag device that restrains an upper body with a shoulder of a passenger as a center to protect safety thereof when an automobile collides.
Background
In general, an automotive airbag device is an airbag device that rapidly injects gas into an airbag according to a signal of an impact sensor to inflate the airbag when an automobile collides, thereby protecting a passenger.
Such an airbag device is provided on a steering wheel or a dashboard, a seat, a side wall, etc. of an automobile, and is inflated toward the front or side of a passenger when the automobile collides, thereby providing protection for the passenger.
That is, the automobile may be equipped with a front airbag that deploys forward of the driver's seat and the passenger's seat, a curtain airbag and a side airbag that deploy sideways to protect the passenger, a knee airbag that protects the knees of the passenger, and the like.
In addition, recently, an automatic driving car has been developed, which can automatically run even if a driver does not perform a driving operation.
The passengers riding on the automatic driving automobile do not need to drive in person, and can hold a meeting or tilt the backrest backwards (recline) to rest by rotating the seat in the left-right direction (swivel) in the process of moving to the destination.
Thus, the seat and the backrest of the automatic driving vehicle can freely rotate in the front-rear and left-rear directions, so that the direction and posture of the passenger can be variously changed.
In addition, when an automobile collides, an article placed in the vehicle or a damaged member disposed on the vehicle may be sprung, thereby possibly causing injury to the passenger.
Therefore, there is a need to develop an airbag technology that can protect the safety of a passenger according to the direction and posture of the passenger in the event of a collision of an automobile.

Detailed Description
Technical problem
The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide an automobile airbag device capable of providing safety protection for a passenger by inflating and deploying airbags on the front and both sides of the passenger when an automobile collides.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an automobile airbag device that can provide an additional function of protecting the front of a passenger by expanding and expanding an airbag cushion to avoid a region where a side airbag is deployed according to the posture of the passenger.
Method for solving technical problems

In addition, according to the present invention, when the passenger rotates the backrest rearward in a posture of leaning on the backrest, the inflated and deployed airbag cushion can be more closely attached to the upper body of the passenger by adjusting the length of the restricting means, and the passenger can be restrained.
Therefore, according to the present invention, the deployment shape of the airbag cushion can be effectively restricted based on the angle at which the passenger seat back is rotated rearward, so that the safety of the passenger can be better protected.

Detailed Description
Hereinafter, an automotive airbag device according to an ideal embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a front view of an automotive airbag device according to an ideal embodiment of the present invention, and fig. 2 is a side view of the automotive airbag device shown in fig. 1. In addition, fig. 3 is a deployment view of the airbag cushion shown in fig. 1, and fig. 4 is an exemplary view of a seat back frame provided with the airbag cushion shown in fig. 3.
Hereinafter, the configuration of an airbag device provided in a driver's seat of a normal vehicle will be described, and a direction toward the front of the vehicle with the driver's seat as the center will be referred to as "front (F)", and a direction toward the rear of the vehicle will be referred to as "rear (B)". Meanwhile, terms indicating directions such as "left side (L)", "right side (R)", "upper side (U)", and "lower side (D)", are defined as directions respectively indicating the directions based on the front (F) and the rear (B). As shown in fig. 1 and 2, in order to ensure that the entire upper body can be wrapped around both shoulders of a passenger in the event of a collision of an automobile, an automobile airbag device (10) according to an ideal embodiment of the present invention includes: an airbag cushion (20) that inflates and deploys from the rear side to the front side of the passenger; the inflator (21) generates gas by an impact sensing signal and supplies the gas to the airbag cushion (20) when the vehicle collides (refer to fig. 3).
Meanwhile, an automotive airbag device (10) according to an ideal embodiment of the present invention further includes: a pair of side airbag cushions (hereinafter referred to as "side cushions") (22) that are inflated and deployed toward both sides of the passenger, respectively.
The airbag cushion (20) is used for expanding from the rear side to the front side of the passenger to restrain the front side and the two sides of the head of the passenger, thereby protecting the safety of the passenger.
That is, the airbag cushion (20) functions to restrain the upper body and both side surfaces of the passenger together with a pair of side cushions (22) inflated and deployed on both sides of the passenger, thereby providing safety protection.
For this purpose, as shown in fig. 3, the cross section of the airbag cushion (20) is substantially inverted U-shaped or inverted V-shaped when viewed from the top.
Therefore, the airbag cushion (20) is inflated and expanded in a cape shape around the head of the passenger from the front of the chest to the front of the abdomen and pelvis of the passenger.
Specifically, the airbag cushion (20) includes: 1 st and 2 nd cushions (30, 40) which are inflated and deployed from the shoulders of the passenger to the front of the pelvis part; and a connection part (50) for connecting the rear ends of the 1 st and 2 nd pads (30, 40) to restrain the head of the passenger.
As shown in fig. 3, the connection portion (50) is upwardly protruded to secure a substantially inverted U-shape, and can be disposed at the rear side of the headrest (13) connected to the upper end of the backrest (12) when the airbag cushion (20) is inflated and deployed.
In this way, the present invention can increase the rigidity of the airbag cushion when the airbag cushion is inflated and deployed by utilizing the rigidity of the headrest by disposing the connecting portion of the airbag cushion on the rear side of the headrest.
Of course, the shape of the connecting portion (50) is not limited to this, and may be changed to "one" or "one" as wellAnd the like.
In order to ensure that the impact generated when the vehicle collides with the passenger sitting on the rear side of the backrest (12) can be alleviated, the connecting part (50) can be extended downwards along the rear side of the backrest (50).

In order to ensure that safety protection can be provided to the pelvic region at the shoulder region of the passenger, respectively, the upper and lower end portions of the 1 st and 2 nd cushions (30, 40) may be larger than the central portion, respectively.
In order to prevent overlapping with the side pad (22), the 1 st and 2 nd overlapping preventing regions (33, 43) may be provided outside the substantially central portions of the 1 st and 2 nd pads (30, 40).
In order to ensure that the expansion thickness does not increase even if the 1 st and 2 nd overlap prevention regions (33, 43) overlap the side pad (20), the airbag cushion (20) can be provided in a non-expansion region that does not expand when expanded.

A plurality of fixing parts (23) fixed on the backrest frame (14) can be arranged on the air bag cushion (20) in a protruding way.
For example: the fixing part (23) may be provided at the left upper end of the 1 st pad (30) and the right upper end of the 2 nd pad (40) and the rear end of the connecting part (50).
An introduction portion (51) for introducing gas from the inflator (21) may be provided at the rear end of the connection portion (50), and a pair of fixing portions (23) may be provided on both sides of the introduction portion (51).
The fixing portions (23) can be connected with the combination positions (P) set on the two sides and the central part of the upper end frame of the backrest frame (14) through bolts or fixed through rivets.
Of course, the fixing portion (23) may be provided with a coupling groove capable of coupling a coupling protrusion formed on the back frame (14) with a hook or the like, or may be provided with a coupling protrusion or a hook capable of coupling with a coupling groove formed on the back frame (14).
In addition, the automobile airbag device (10) according to the embodiment of the invention further includes: a limiting device (60) which limits the deployment shape of the airbag cushion (20) when the passenger is in a state of leaning backward; an adjustment module (70) that adjusts the length of the limiting device (60) (see fig. 6).

For example: the limiting means (60) may be a ribbon webbing having a predetermined width. The limiting device (60) can be connected at both ends to an adjustment module (70).
The function of the adjustment module (70) is to adjust the length of the limiting means (60) of the wound airbag cushion (20).
Such an adjustment module (70) may be an actuator that adjusts the length of the restraining means in a number of ways, such as by an electrically driven motor or a retractor for a safety belt or the like.

Therefore, the airbag cushion is provided with a plurality of fixing members, and the position of the airbag cushion can be limited, so that the limiting device can be tightly attached to a passenger.
Therefore, the invention utilizes the limiting device to limit the unfolding shape of the airbag cushion, thereby restraining the upper body of the passenger, and further protecting the safety of the passenger.

Therefore, the adjustment module (70) can be driven only when the rotation angle corresponding to the voltage value or the current value of the induction signal is larger than a preset setting angle (for example, 40 DEG), so that the length of the limiting device (60) can be reduced.
Therefore, the invention adjusts the length of the limiting device when the passenger leans backward, so that the inflated and expanded airbag cushion closely fits the upper body of the passenger, thereby restraining the passenger.
Therefore, the present invention can effectively limit the deployment shape of the airbag cushion, thereby enabling better protection of the passenger's safety.
Next, the coupling relation and the operation principle of the air bag device for an automobile according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to fig. 5 to 8.
Fig. 5 and 6 are front and side views showing an airbag cushion deployed state, respectively, and fig. 7 and 8 are front and side views showing a state in which the length of the restriction device is adjusted by the adjustment module, respectively.
First, an operator installs an airbag cushion (20) in a folded or rolled folded state in a backrest (120).
At this time, the fixing portions (23) provided on the airbag cushion (20) are respectively coupled to mounting positions preset on the upper end frame of the backrest frame (14).
A plurality of fixing members (24) of the airbag cushion (20) are provided with a band-shaped limiting device (60), and both ends of the limiting device (60) are connected with an adjusting module (70).
The airbag device (10) mounted on the vehicle by the above-described process receives gas from the inflator (21) through the introduction portion (51) and expands and deploys when the vehicle collides.
That is, if the gas is supplied to the connection portion (50) through the introduction portion (51), the connection portion (50) expands and deploys to the outside when cutting a tangential line formed on the back (12) cover, and the gas is supplied to the 1 st and 2 nd pads (30, 40) connected to both side front ends of the connection portion (50).
Then, as shown in fig. 5 and 6, the 1 st and 2 nd cushions (50, 60) are respectively inflated forward over the headrest (13) coupled to the upper end of the backrest (12) and the head of the passenger, and are deployed downward along the entire upper body of the passenger.
Accordingly, the 1 st and 2 nd cushions (30, 40) are respectively inflated and deployed from the neck of the passenger to the chest, abdomen and pelvis parts, so that the entire upper body of the passenger can be restrained.
In this case, the 1 st and 2 nd overlap prevention regions (33, 43) are provided on the outer sides of the 1 st and 2 nd cushions (30, 40), respectively, so that the side cushions (22) inflated and deployed on both sides of the passenger can be prevented from overlapping with the airbag cushion (20).
In addition, an inductive sensor provided on the backrest (12) generates an inductive signal that senses the rotation angle of the backrest (12).
Then, if the rotation angle of the backrest (12) corresponding to the sensing signal is greater than a preset setting angle, the adjusting module (70) adjusts the length of the limiting device (60) to ensure that the length of the limiting device (60) can be reduced.
As shown in fig. 7 and 8, the restraining means (60) may define a deployment shape to ensure that the 1 st and 2 nd cushions (30, 40) and the connecting portion (50) of the inflatable and deployable airbag cushion (10) are in close proximity to the occupant.
That is, as the length of the restraining means (60) decreases, the lateral width (W1) and the longitudinal width (W2) of the airbag cushion (20) are reduced (W1 < W1, W2< W2) respectively compared to the lateral width (W1) and the longitudinal width (W2) shown in fig. 5 and 6, as shown in fig. 7 and 8.
Therefore, the invention adjusts the length of the limiting device when the passenger leans backward, so that the inflated and expanded airbag cushion closely fits the upper body of the passenger, thereby restraining the passenger.
Therefore, the present invention can effectively limit the deployment shape of the airbag cushion, thereby enabling better protection of the passenger's safety.
The invention completed by the present inventors has been specifically described above with reference to the above-described embodiments, but the invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications may be made without departing from the gist thereof.
Industrial applicability
The invention is suitable for the technology of the safety airbag device, and when the automobile collides, the airbag cushion can be inflated and unfolded on the front side and the two side surfaces of the passenger, so that the safety of the passenger can be protected.
Claims (9)
1. An automotive airbag apparatus, characterized in that the automotive airbag apparatus comprises: the airbag cushion restrains the whole upper body by taking shoulders on two sides of a passenger as the center when the automobile collides;
an inflator for generating gas by an impact sensing signal and supplying the gas to the airbag cushion when the automobile collides;
the airbag cushion inflates and deploys from the rear side to the front side of the passenger, restraining the front of the upper body and both sides of the head of the passenger.
2. An automotive airbag assembly according to claim 1 in which,
the airbag cushion includes: 1 st and 2 nd cushions which are inflated and deployed from the shoulders of the passenger to the front of the pelvis part;
and a connecting part for connecting the rear end parts of the 1 st and the 2 nd cushions to restrain the head of the passenger.
3. An automotive airbag assembly according to claim 2 in which,
the automobile airbag device further includes: a pair of side airbag cushions inflated and deployed on both sides of the passenger;
the 1 st and 2 nd overlap prevention regions are provided outside the 1 st and 2 nd pads, respectively, to ensure that overlapping with the pair of side airbag pads can be prevented.
4. An automotive airbag assembly according to claim 2 in which,
the airbag cushion is mounted in the backrest of the seat,
a plurality of fixing portions fixed to a seat frame in a backrest are provided on the airbag cushion.
5. The automotive airbag assembly of claim 4, wherein,
the fixing parts are respectively arranged on the two sides of the 1 st pad and the 2 nd pad and the rear end of the connecting part.
6. An automotive airbag assembly according to claim 2 in which,
the connection portion is supported by means of a headrest coupled to an upper end of the backrest, so that it is ensured that the support strength of the airbag cushion can be improved when the airbag cushion is inflated and deployed.
7. An automotive airbag assembly according to any one of claim 2 to claim 6,
the automobile airbag device further includes: a limiting means which limits the deployment shape of the airbag cushion to ensure that the airbag cushion can closely fit a passenger,
a plurality of fixing members are provided on the airbag cushion, which fix the restriction device.
8. The automotive airbag assembly of claim 7, wherein,
the plurality of fixing members are provided at the 1 st and 2 nd cushion central portions and the 1 st and 2 nd overlapping areas or the extension portions, respectively, to ensure that the restraining device can be disposed at a passenger chest position.
9. The automotive airbag assembly of claim 7, wherein,
the automobile airbag device further includes: an induction sensor for sensing the back-rest front-rear direction rotation angle;
and the adjusting module is used for adjusting the length of the limiting device to ensure that the length of the limiting device can be reduced if the backrest rotation angle corresponding to the sensing signal of the sensing sensor is larger than a preset setting angle.
