Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a crib for newborns. More particularly, the present invention relates to a twins crib (twin crib) having a collapsible wall, the twins crib being accompanied by a bed.
Background
Twin cribs provided with collapsible walls, wherein a neonate sleeps within the same crib, are known in the prior art. In the known duplex crib, the separator is a completely removable wall arranged parallel to the collapsible wall.
Document US 5787524a describes a crib suitable for accommodating more children. The crib comprises a plurality of front panels arranged to form an angle of less than 180 ° and slide entirely vertically and independently of each other. The crib comprises a housing made of soft material at the upper part of the front plate. The crib includes a first sleep area and a second sleep area separated by a divider that is removably connectable to the upright and the central support plate.
In the known art of twin cribs, only one of the newborns can be placed near the collapsible wall beside the parent's bed, because the separator is arranged parallel to the collapsible wall and thus parallel to the bed. This means that the parents must regularly switch the positions of the twins so that both babies spend the same time in the vicinity of the parents' beds. In addition, parents are not convenient to examine infants farther from the bed. All of this is uncomfortable for the neonate and parent.
The crib of the known art can be positioned at an angle with respect to the bed, thanks to its angle of less than 180 ° and in particular equal to 90 °. In this way, one of the infants is placed at the foot of the bed, while the other is placed at the side, and must be exchanged regularly so that both infants spend the same time beside the parent. Furthermore, when the two panels are in the lowered position, the fixed upright between the two panels may be dangerous because parents may hit it, for example, in order to bring the child into the sleeping area.
Disclosure of Invention
Against this background, the technical task of the present invention is to provide a twin crib that obviates the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art.
In particular, it is an object of the present invention to achieve a separator which is able to improve the comfort of newborns and which is more practical and safe to use.
The technical task and the specific objects are substantially achieved by a twin crib comprising the technical features described in one or more of the accompanying claims.
The present invention makes it possible to provide a duplex crib in which the divider is at least partially fixed in a direction orthogonal to the collapsible wall and the parent's crib.
Advantageously, such a twin crib solves the technical problem in that it is capable of keeping both babies in the twin crib always close to the parent's crib.
Still advantageously, the partition is at least partially fixed to the crib itself, so as to ensure greater stability of the partition during use of the crib.
It is always advantageous that the twins crib does not have a potentially dangerous bulge.
Drawings
Other features and advantages of the invention will become more apparent from the following illustrative and therefore non-limiting description of a preferred but non-exclusive embodiment of a twin crib, shown in the accompanying drawings, in which:

fig. 7 is a second embodiment of the crib according to fig. 1 to 4, with the housing in a closed configuration.
Detailed Description
The present invention relates to a twins crib 1 configured to be placed adjacent to a crib to facilitate contact between a parent and two babies.
As shown in fig. 1, the twin crib 1 includes an upper frame 20 and a lower frame 40. The upper frame 20 includes a fixed first portion 21 and a second portion 22 movable relative to the first portion 21. The lower frame 40 is connected to the upper frame 20 and is configured to support two pads 11. Each pad 11 is adapted to support a child. In a preferred embodiment, the lower frame 40 is substantially square in shape. It is always preferable that the upper frame 20 and the lower frame 40 include rod-shaped elements.
The twins crib 1 further includes a housing 50 made of a flexible material securable to the upper frame 20. The housing 50 has a bottom 51, an opposite open top 52, at least one fixed rear wall 53 and an opposite openable front wall 54. The openable front wall 54 is configured to be positioned adjacent to the bed. The openable front wall 54 includes a fixed portion 55 supported by the lower frame 40 and a movable portion 56 connected to the second portion 22 of the upper frame 20.
Notably, the twins crib 1 includes a separator 60 disposed between two pads 11. As shown in fig. 2, the partition 60 has hooking means (hooks) 64 at the lower edge 61, at the rear edge 62 and at the opposite front edge 63. Note that the hooking means 64 are configured to fixedly or removably constrain the lower edge 61 to the bottom 51, the rear edge 62 to the fixed rear wall 53, and the front edge 63 to the fixing portion 55 of the openable front wall 54, respectively. Note that the removable hooking means 64 means that the hooking means 64 is configured to repeatedly and reversibly hook and unhook the lower edge 61 to the bottom 51, hook and unhook the rear edge 62 to the fixed rear wall 53, and unhook the front edge 63 to the fixing portion 55, and unhook the same.
It should therefore be noted that the divider 60 is orthogonally positioned with respect to both the fixed rear wall 53 and the openable front wall 54. It is worth noting that advantageously, when two infants are placed on the respective pads 11, they are close to the bed beside the crib 1. Furthermore, due to the lateral access window provided by the movable portion 56 when it is open, the parent can immediately access the two pads 11 from the bed upon which the child is placed. Preferably, the separator 60 is rectangular in shape.
In the first embodiment, the hooking means 64 are fixed. In the illustrated embodiment, the lower edge 61, the rear edge 62 and the front edge 63 are preferably secured to the bottom 51, the fixed rear wall 53 and the securing portion 55, respectively, by a sewn joint (seam).
In a second embodiment, the hooking means 64 are at least partially removable.
Preferably, the hooking means 64 on the lower edge 61, the rear edge 62 and the front edge 63 are removable.
Preferably, the hooking means 64 on the rear edge 62 are fixed, while the hooking means 64 on the front edge 63 and on the lower edge 61 are removable.
