Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a method for presenting virtual reality, wherein visual virtual reality is presented at a presentation location by means of at least one visual presentation unit, and
wherein at least one environmental attribute is generated for the virtual reality at the presentation site by means of at least one generating means.
Background
DE 10 2018 103 572 A1 discloses a system for presenting virtual reality.
Disclosure of Invention
It is therefore an object of the invention to improve the presentation of virtual reality.
This object is achieved by the solution with the features of the independent claims.
A method of presenting virtual reality is presented. By means of the virtual reality instance, places which cannot be easily reached can be presented. For example natural attractions not found at the presentation location may be presented. Alternatively, the virtual reality presentation may be utilized to visit a museum, for example, without itself having to visit the museum. In this way, remote, inaccessible, and even fictitious sites can be accessed by means of virtual reality.
In the method, visual virtual reality is presented at a presentation location by means of at least one visual presentation unit. For example by means of visual virtual reality, which correspond to e.g. a museum or a natural environment as described above. Additionally or alternatively, moving images can also be presented by means of visual virtual reality. In this case, the visual virtual reality corresponds to a visual presentation to a natural attraction or museum.
Furthermore, in the method, at least one environmental attribute is generated for the virtual reality at the presentation site by means of at least one generating device. By means of the at least one environmental attribute, a virtual reality can be constructed more realistically. In this way, in addition to visual virtual reality, more sensory impressions can be generated for virtual reality at the presentation site.
According to the invention, the at least one environmental attribute originating from the recording site is received immediately at the presentation site. Wherein the recording location is spatially separated from the presentation location. According to the above example, the recording location is for example a museum or a remote natural attraction. Furthermore, the presentation location may be a house, i.e. spatially separated from the museum.
Further, the at least one environmental attribute is generated instantaneously at the presentation site using the generating means. Thus, the recording-site-derived environmental attribute is received and generated instantaneously at the presentation site to construct a more realistic virtual reality using the at least one environmental attribute. The environmental attributes received and generated at least in an instant manner may also be referred to as instant environmental attributes. In this way, the user obtains the at least one environmental attribute currently present at the recording location at the presentation location, i.e. e.g. in his home, instantaneously. This makes the virtual reality more realistic. Not only is a visual virtual reality, i.e. a visual environment in a museum containing, for example, a drawing or statue, presented at the presentation location, but also immediate environmental properties.
Preferably, the visual data from the recording location for presenting the visual virtual reality at the presentation location is received instantaneously and presented instantaneously at the presentation location by means of the visual presentation unit. Additionally or alternatively, audio data from the recording site for presenting sounds and/or words at the presentation site may also be received instantaneously and presented instantaneously at the presentation site by means of at least one speaker. In addition or alternatively, the auditory data from the recording site for presenting the auditory virtual reality at the presentation site can also be received instantaneously and presented instantaneously at the presentation site by means of at least one auditory presentation unit (e.g. a loudspeaker).
Preferably, the at least one environmental attribute from the recording site may be transmitted to the presentation site on-the-fly. Such that the at least one environmental attribute is transmitted instantaneously, received instantaneously at the presentation site, and generated instantaneously at the presentation site. As a supplement, the visual data for presenting the visual virtual reality may also be transmitted instantaneously, received instantaneously at the presentation location, and presented or generated instantaneously at the presentation location.
Preferably, the at least one environmental attribute is collected at the recording site in real-time, transmitted from the recording site to the presentation site in real-time, received at the presentation site in real-time, and/or generated at the presentation site in real-time.
Preferably, wind direction, smell, temperature and/or air humidity are collected at the recording site as environmental properties. Additionally or alternatively, preferably, wind, smell, temperature and/or air humidity are generated at the presentation site according to the environmental properties collected at the recording site. Furthermore, additionally or alternatively, the brightness and/or lighting conditions may also be collected and/or generated at the presentation location. In this way, a virtual reality can be more realistically constructed. Thus, the user is not only seeing the environment or the recording location or the presentation of the recording location, but is able to feel the recording location, e.g. feel wind conditions and/or smell.
Preferably, the at least one environmental attribute is acquired at the recording site by means of at least one environmental sensor. The environment sensor may be, for example, a wind sensor, a wind direction sensor, a temperature sensor, an odor sensor, an air humidity sensor, a brightness sensor and/or a light sensor.

The at least one environmental attribute is received, in particular instantaneously, by means of the data interface. Thus, the data interface is at least capable of receiving data.
Preferably, the acquisition of the at least one environmental attribute at the recording site is indicated by means of an instruction from the presentation site. The data interface may also be configured to transmit data, i.e. for example the instructions. By means of which data can be transmitted bi-directionally. For example, the user may transmit an instruction to change the viewing direction to the recording location at the presentation location, such that the user can see another area in the museum at the presentation location.
Preferably, the control unit requests the at least one environmental attribute from a recording location. Additionally or alternatively, the acquisition of the at least one environmental attribute at the recording site may be controlled and/or indicated, in particular by means of the control unit. For example, the user may indicate from the presentation location to change the viewing direction at the recording location, or indicate to move at the natural attraction in a direction selected by the user. The environmental properties may of course also change when moving at natural points of view, wherein the environmental properties that match or change with the movement may be presented at the presentation location.
Preferably, the control unit determines the at least one environmental attribute by means of the at least one environmental sensor located at the recording site. For example, the control unit may also determine the brightness at the recording site by means of a camera acting as an environmental sensor for gathering visual data for presenting visual virtual reality.
Preferably, the generating means comprises at least one ventilator for generating wind and/or wind direction. Additionally or alternatively, the generating means may comprise at least one nozzle by means of which the odoriferous substance is released. Furthermore, the odorous substances can be released in the region of the ventilator, so that the odorous substances can reach the user. In addition, the place where the odor is generated or the direction from which the odor comes can be reflected thereby. Preferably, a plurality of ventilators and/or nozzles are provided in order to present the direction of the wind and/or smell. Wherein the at least one ventilator and/or the at least one nozzle may be provided with intensity adjustable properties and/or pivotable properties. In particular, by controlling the intensity of the at least one ventilator, the wind force can be presented as an environmental attribute. Detailed Description
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a system 6 for presenting virtual reality.
The system 6 comprises at least one visual presentation unit 1 for presenting visual virtual reality. In this embodiment, the visual presentation unit 1 is constructed as glasses worn by the user 7, so-called VR glasses (virtual reality glasses). Alternatively, the visual presentation unit 1 may also be a monitor, a display screen or a projector. The visual virtual reality can be presented by means of the visual presentation unit 1. This visual virtual reality may comprise an image or video. With the visual presentation unit 1 visual virtual reality can be presented at the presentation site 5. The presentation location 5 is a location where the user 7 is located. For example, presentation site 5 is a residence where virtual reality is presented. The advantage of virtual reality is that thereby, for example, a museum can be visited without visiting the museum. In this way, the described visiting museums can be conveniently performed at home. In other examples, remote, hard-to-reach, or purely fictitious natural attractions may also be visited in this manner. For example, the sea or ocean may also be visited by means of virtual reality. In addition, matching sounds and/or utterances may also be generated for virtual reality.
The system 6 further comprises at least one generating means 2 for generating at least one environmental attribute for the virtual reality at the presentation site 5. The environmental properties are for example wind conditions such as wind direction and/or wind force, smell, temperature, air humidity, brightness and/or lighting conditions. By generating the at least one environmental attribute, the virtual reality can be presented more realistically. For example, not only can the marine tour thereby be visually presented with the visual presentation unit 1, but at least one environmental attribute can also be generated. In this way, not only the scenery of the ocean, but also the wind blowing from or to the ocean and/or the corresponding salty taste are presented.
In the method of presenting virtual reality, at least one environmental attribute originating from the recording site 4 is received immediately at the presentation site 5. Furthermore, in the method, the at least one environmental attribute is generated instantaneously at the presentation site 5 using the generating means 2. Thus, the environmental attribute originating from the recording site 4 is received and generated immediately at the presentation site 5. In this way the at least one environmental attribute currently present at the recording site 4 is presented at the presentation site 5 using the virtual reality. Whereby the immediate environmental attribute is presented at presentation location 5. Thus, the environmental attributes are received and generated in real-time at the presentation location 5. These immediate environmental attributes also match the visual data being presented and/or the sound being presented. For example, if a tree that moves due to wind is visually presented, the corresponding wind is also generated as an environmental attribute. The visual data, the sound or the sound, and the at least one generated environmental attribute match each other. Accordingly, the corresponding visual virtual reality, auditory virtual reality, and virtual reality corresponding to the environmental attribute are also matched with each other.
Wherein the at least one environmental attribute may also be transmitted from the recording site 4 to the presentation site 5 in real time and/or in real time.
According to the present embodiment, at least one environmental sensor 3 is provided at the recording site 4 as shown. The at least one environmental attribute can be acquired at the recording site 4 by means of the at least one environmental sensor 3. Additionally or alternatively, the at least one environmental attribute can be determined at the recording site 4 by means of the at least one environmental sensor 3. An example of the air sensor 8 and the odor sensor 9 is shown here as the environment sensor 3. Wherein a plurality of corresponding sensors 3 may also be used or arranged. Additionally or alternatively, a temperature sensor, a light sensor, a brightness sensor and/or a humidity sensor may also be provided.
Furthermore, according to the present embodiment, the system 6 further comprises a control unit 10 for controlling the presentation of the virtual reality.
According to the present embodiment, the control unit 10 further comprises at least one data interface 11a, 11b. The at least one environment attribute can be received instantaneously by means of the at least one data interface 11a, 11b. The environment properties can then be generated instantaneously. In order to be able to receive the environment properties in particular immediately from the recording location 4, the control unit 10 has a first data interface 11a.
The environment data can be received instantaneously by means of the first data interface 11a and/or a connection can be established with the recording site 4 in order to receive the environment properties. In addition or alternatively, the visual and/or audible data can also be received, preferably instantaneously or in real time, by means of the first data interface 11a for the presentation of visual and/or audible virtual reality. These visual and/or auditory data can also be presented in real-time or in real-time by means of the visual presentation unit 1.
In order to be able to transmit the environmental properties to the presentation location 5, a communication unit 12, which has a third data interface 11c as shown here, can be provided at the recording location 4. The communication unit 12 may also be configured to collect and/or evaluate the environmental properties measured by the environmental sensor 3. Furthermore, the communication unit 12 can transmit the environmental properties to the presentation site 5 by means of the third data interface 11c (in particular in real-time or real-time). Where the first data interface 11a is able to receive the environmental properties in real time or in real time. The connection between the recording location 4 and the presentation location 5 or between the third and the first data interface 11c, 11a, which is only indicated by means of an arrow, can be, for example, the internet. Visual data can also be transmitted via the same connection, in particular in real-time or real-time.
According to the present embodiment, the control unit 10 shown here comprises a second data interface 11b for establishing a connection, schematically indicated by an arrow, with the visual presentation unit 1 and with the generating means 2. As an alternative, the control unit 10 may also have separate data interfaces 11 for the visual presentation unit 1 and for the generating device 2, respectively.
Thus, the at least one environmental attribute is transmitted to the at least one generating means 2 for generating the environmental attribute in real time or in real time.
The control unit 10 may also control and/or request the acquisition of visual and/or auditory data and/or the at least one environmental attribute, in particular by means of the first data interface 11a. For example, it is also possible to instruct a person at the recording site 4 to turn around or to move in a certain direction. At the recording site 4, for example, an unmanned aerial vehicle may also be provided, which is capable of capturing the visual data and/or the auditory data and/or the at least one environmental attribute. The unmanned aerial vehicle can be moved by means of the control unit 10. In addition or as an alternative to the drone, a controllable vehicle or the like may also be provided at the recording site 4.
According to the present embodiment, the generating means 2 comprise at least one ventilator 13a-13c. By means of the at least one ventilator 13a-13c, wind can be generated as an environmental attribute. The at least one ventilator 13a-13c may be adjustable in order to present wind forces. Additionally or alternatively, the at least one ventilator 13a-13c may also be rotated in order to present wind forces. According to the present embodiment, a plurality of (here, three) ventilators 13a-13c are shown, so that wind from a plurality of directions can be presented. Wherein the three ventilators 13a-13c take a specific layout with respect to the user 7.
According to the present embodiment, the generating means 2 further comprise at least one nozzle 14a-14c for distributing the odoriferous substance at the presentation location 5 for presenting the odor as an environmental attribute. The at least one nozzle 14a-14c may be arranged in the area of the at least one ventilator 13a-13c for delivering the odorant to the user 7. According to the present embodiment, a plurality (here three) of nozzles 14a-14c are shown. This way a directional dependency of the smell can be achieved. Whereby it is possible to present to the user 7: the smell comes from a specific direction. In addition, the ventilators 13a-13c are here in one-to-one correspondence with the nozzles 14a-14c. Of course, it is also possible to distribute the nozzles 14a-14c only for a part of the ventilators 13a-13c.
The generating means 2 further comprise smell means 15 for generating said smell. The fragrance means 15 is connected to the at least one nozzle 14a-14c, for example by means of a line, so that fragrance substances can be led to the nozzles 14a-14c.
The fragrance means 15 also has a plurality of containers 16a-16c and/or is connected to these containers, wherein a basic substance for the fragrance is provided in each of the containers 16a-16c. The odor device 15 is capable of mixing the odor substances with the plurality of base substances to form a plurality of different odors.
Fig. 2 is a schematic view of an odor device 15 for generating an odor at a presentation location 5. The scent device 15 shown here may also be the generating device 2 or an embodiment of the generating device 2. Alternatively, the generating means 2 may comprise the smell means 15. Alternatively, the smell means 15 may also comprise the generating means 2.
For simplicity, features that have been described in at least one of the preceding figures will not be described again. Furthermore, some of the features may be described in the drawings or in at least one of the following figures. Furthermore, for simplicity, the same reference numerals are used for the same features. Moreover, for the sake of clarity, all features may not be shown in the following figures and/or reference numerals are not used to identify all features. However, features illustrated in one or more of the preceding figures may also be present in this figure, or in one or more of the following figures. Furthermore, some features may be shown in this or in one or more of the following figures for clarity and/or may be identified by a reference numeral. Nonetheless, features shown in one or more of the following figures may already exist in the previous figures.
The fragrance means 15 comprises at least one container 16a-16c for storing fragrance and/or base substances. The containers 16a-16c may be replaceable in order to replace an empty container with a new container 16a-16c or to provide a new scent to the scent device 15.
The odor device 15 further comprises at least one distributor unit 13, 14, which here is a ventilator 13 and/or a nozzle 14. The odor device 15 may also have a plurality of ventilators 13 and/or nozzles 14. Furthermore, each ventilator 13 may correspond to at least one nozzle 14 in order to release an odorous substance during the generation of wind for the virtual reality and to deliver this odorous substance with the wind.
According to the present embodiment, the ventilator 13 is provided with three nozzles 14a-14c for releasing different odorous substances. Furthermore, according to the present embodiment, each nozzle 14a-14c is connected to a respective container 16a-16c by means of a line 18. The fragrance means 15 has at least one pump 17a-17c for delivering fragrance substances to the nozzles 14a-14c. Here, one pump 16a-16c is associated with each container 16a-16c and/or each nozzle 14a-14c. Thus, for example, when the containers 16a-16c are odorants, mixing of odorants from the containers 16a-16c can be avoided. If, however, the base substances for the odour substances are present in the containers 16a-16c, the odour means 15 can preferably comprise mixing means for mixing these base substances accordingly. In this case, the pumps 17a-17c are capable of pumping the basic substances from the containers 16a-16c into the mixing device. As an alternative, the basic substances can also be guided to the ventilator 13, wherein they are mixed into odorous substances in the air flow there.
According to the present embodiment, the scent device 15 corresponds to the control unit 10. This may be the control unit 10 of fig. 1 or an additional control unit 10, which corresponds to the fragrance means 15 or comprises the fragrance means 15.
The odour means 15 or the control unit 10 has a data interface 11 in order to receive data from the recording location 4, in particular instantaneously. Subsequently, with the aid of these data from the recording location 4, a scent matching the recording location 4 is generated for the virtual reality by means of the scent device 15.
The control unit 10 shown here as well as the control unit 10 of fig. 1 may also comprise a memory, not shown, for storing the odour information. By means of the memory or the scent information, a scent can be generated that matches the recording location 4. For example, data about the smell can be transmitted to the control unit 10 and then a corresponding smell can be generated. Additionally or alternatively, data about the recording location 4 can also be transmitted, from which the corresponding scent is subsequently generated. For example, the following data are transmitted: there is a plot of flowers and plants at recording site 4. The corresponding scent can then be generated from this data. Additionally or alternatively, GPS data may also be transmitted. In this case, the control unit 10 can determine which odors are present at the recording site 4 from the GPS data, and then generate these odors.
The invention is not limited to the embodiments shown and described. Variations within the scope of the claims may be employed, as well as combinations of features, even if such features are disclosed and described in different embodiments.
