Fig. 5 is a side view showing the structure of a light source in the balustrade device of the passenger conveyor of the present embodiment. As shown in fig. 5, the first Light source 30 includes a case 31, a resin cover 32, an LED (Light-Emitting Diode) chip, and a substrate.
The LED chip is mounted on the substrate. The LED chip and the substrate are housed in the case 31 or the resin cover 32. The light emitted from the LED chip is emitted to the front direction of the first light source 30 and the entire periphery of the side of the first light source 30 through the resin cover 32.
The housing 31 has a cylindrical shape. A male screw 31a is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the housing 31. When the first light source 30 is mounted on the guardrail 5, the housing 31 is screwed into the screw hole 5a of the guardrail 5, and the male screw 31a is fitted into the female screw 5b. The upper end of the second light guide 22 is located in the front direction of the first light source 30. The end of the first light guide 21 is located in one direction of the sides of the first light source 30. The end of the other first light guide 21 is located in the opposite direction to the one direction among the sides of the first light source 30.
The light emitted from the resin cover 32 of the first light source 30 is incident on the first light guide 21 and the second light guide 22. The light entering the first light guide 21 is guided by the first light guide 21 while being reflected and diffused inside the first light guide 21, and is taken out from the side surface of the first light guide 21 to the outside. Thereby, the side surface of the first light guide 21 emits light. The upper edge 11a of the panel 11 is illuminated by light from the first light guide 21.
The light entering the second light guide 22 is guided by the second light guide 22 while being reflected and diffused inside the second light guide 22, and is taken out from the side surface of the second light guide 22 to the outside. Thereby, the side surface of the second light guide 22 emits light. The side edge 11b of the panel 11 is illuminated by light from the second light guide 22.
Fig. 6 is a diagram showing a modification of the structure of the light guide and the light source in the handrail device of the passenger conveyor according to the present embodiment. As shown in fig. 6, 2 adjacent first light guides 21 may be connected. In this case, recesses 40 are provided on the upper surfaces of the portions where 2 first light guides 21 intersect with the second light guide 22. The recess 40 opens upwardly towards the guard rail 5. When the first light source 30 is mounted to the guardrail 5, the resin cover 32 of the first light source 30 is disposed in the recess 40. Even with such a configuration, the light emitted from the resin cover 32 of the first light source 30 is incident on the 2 first light guides 21 and the second light guides 22, and is guided by the respective light guides.
As described above, the balustrade device of the passenger conveyor of the present embodiment includes the balustrade panel 10, the light guide 20, and the first light source 30. The light guide 20 is disposed on the balustrade panel 10. The first light source 30 is configured to make light incident on the light guide 20. The balustrade panel 10 has a plurality of panel bodies 11. The plurality of panel bodies 11 are juxtaposed in the longitudinal direction of the balustrade panel 10. The light guide 20 has a first light guide 21 and a second light guide 22. The first light guide 21 extends along the upper edge of the balustrade panel 10. The second light guide 22 is disposed between 2 panel bodies 11 adjacent to each other among the plurality of panel bodies 11. The second light guide 22 extends in a direction intersecting the extending direction of the first light guide 21. The first light source 30 is disposed at a position where the first light guide 21 intersects the second light guide 22.
According to this structure, the first light guide 21 emits light, and the upper edge portion 11a of the panel body 11 is illuminated with light from the first light guide 21. Further, the second light guide 22 emits light, and the side edge portion 11b of the panel body 11 is illuminated with light from the second light guide 22. Therefore, not only the demonstration based on the light along the extending direction of the first light guide 21, that is, the moving direction of the passenger, but also the demonstration based on the light along the extending direction of the second light guide 22, that is, the direction intersecting the moving direction of the passenger can be performed. Therefore, according to this structure, the light-based demonstration effect can be improved.
In the above configuration, since the first light sources 30 are provided at the positions where the first light guide 21 and the second light guide 22 intersect, a plurality of first light sources 30 can be easily provided. Therefore, the light quantity of the illumination light of the railing device can be increased.
In the handrail device of the passenger conveyor of the present embodiment, the second light guide 22 has a main body portion 22a, a pair of protruding portions 22b1, 22b2, and a pair of protruding portions 22c1, 22c2 in a cross section cut through the second light guide 22 perpendicular to the extending direction of the second light guide 22. The main body 22a is provided between the 2 panel bodies 11-1, 11-2. A pair of protruding portions 22b1, 22b2 protrude from the main body portion 22 a. The pair of protrusions 22b1, 22b2 sandwich the side edge 11b of the panel body 11-1. Similarly, a pair of protruding portions 22c1, 22c2 protrude from the main body portion 22 a. The pair of protrusions 22c1, 22c2 sandwich the side edge 11b of the panel body 11-2. In the above-described cross section, the outer side surfaces of the pair of protruding portions 22b1, 22b2 are inclined so as to be closer to the surface of the panel body 11-1 as they are farther from the main body portion 22 a. Similarly, in the cross section described above, the outer side surfaces of the pair of protruding portions 22c1 and 22c2 are inclined so as to be closer to the surface of the panel body 11-2 as they are farther from the main body portion 22 a.
According to this structure, the cross-sectional shape of the second light guide 22 is smoothed with respect to the movement direction of the passenger, so that the passenger's luggage, clothing, or the like can be suppressed from being caught on the second light guide 22.
The balustrade device of the passenger conveyor of the present embodiment further includes a balustrade 5. The railing 5 is disposed above the railing panel 10. The guardrail 5 is configured to guide the movement of the moving handrail 4. The first light source 30 has a cylindrical housing 31. A male screw 31a is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the housing 31. The guardrail 5 is formed with an internal thread 5b into which the external thread 31a is fitted.
According to this configuration, the first light source 30 can be easily attached, and therefore maintenance and replacement of the first light source 30 can be easily performed. Further, according to this structure, the mounting posture of the first light source 30 to the guardrail 5 can be stabilized. Further, since only the screw holes need to be provided on the side of the guardrail 5, the mounting structure of the first light source 30 can be simplified.
In the balustrade device of the passenger conveyor, the balustrade 5 has a curved portion along the moving path of the moving handrail 4. In the case of the transparent resin guardrail described in patent document 1, secondary processing after molding is difficult. Therefore, in order to form the guard rail, a high mold investment is required. In contrast, in the present embodiment, since the first light source 30 is provided between the guardrail 5 and the balustrade panel 10, a metal material that does not transmit light can be used as the material for forming the guardrail 5. In the case of a guardrail made of metal, secondary processing utilizing the ductility of the metal can be easily performed. Therefore, in the present embodiment, the manufacturing cost of the guardrail 5 can be reduced.
