An escalator 80 as an embodiment of the passenger conveyor will be described with reference to fig. 1 and 2. Fig. 1 is a schematic view showing an escalator 80. Fig. 2 is a detailed view of a portion a of fig. 1.
The escalator 80 includes: a plurality of steps (not shown) that rise or fall along an incline; a rail 81 provided on both sides of the steps; and a moving handrail 82 provided at an upper portion of the balustrade 81 and moving in synchronization with the steps. The moving handrail 82 is formed in a ring shape in the moving direction, and a cross section thereof as viewed from the moving direction is formed in a substantially C-shape. The moving handrail 82 is made of, for example, synthetic rubber. The moving handrail 82 is driven by a handrail drive sheave 83.
The handrail drive sheave 83 is provided in the return path of the moving handrail 82. The handrail drive sheave 83 is rotated by the driving force transmitted to the upper sprocket 84 via the handrail chain 85. A moving handrail tensioner 86 for adjusting the tension of the moving handrail 82 is provided in the return path of the moving handrail 82.
Guide rollers (protection rollers 87 and umbrella rollers 90) that support the moving handrail 82 and guide the moving handrail 82 in the running direction of the escalator 80 are provided on the return path of the moving handrail 82. The protection roller 87 is provided at the lower side of the moving handrail 82 to prevent sagging of the moving handrail 82. Umbrella-shaped roller 90 is disposed on the inner peripheral side of moving handrail 82, guides the inner peripheral side of moving handrail 82, and prevents lateral contact of moving handrail 82.
Umbrella-shaped roller 90 of moving handrail 82 of escalator 80 according to the embodiment will be described with reference to fig. 3 and 4. Fig. 3 is a front view showing umbrella-shaped roller 90 and moving handrail 82. Fig. 4 is a top view showing umbrella-shaped roller 90 and moving handrail 82. Hereinafter, the moving handrail 82 will be described with reference to the moving direction of the moving handrail 82 and the width direction of the moving handrail 82 perpendicular to the moving direction.
As described above, the umbrella-shaped rollers 90 guide the inner peripheral side of the moving handrail 82, and prevent lateral contact of the moving handrail 82. As described above, the cross section of the moving handrail 82 as viewed in the moving direction is formed in a C-shape, and the moving handrail 82 has each end 82A that is curved toward the inner side in the width direction on the inner peripheral side. Umbrella-shaped roller 90 is formed in a disk shape having a diameter larger than the gap between ends 82A, 82A.

For example, when the ball bearing 91 of the umbrella-shaped roller 90 is deteriorated, it is necessary to replace the umbrella-shaped roller 90 with a new umbrella-shaped roller 90. In the replacement work of umbrella-shaped roller 90, the following work is performed: the end 82A bent inward in the width direction on the back side of the moving handrail 82 is opened outward, the umbrella-shaped roller 90 is detached from the inner peripheral side of the moving handrail 82, and a new umbrella-shaped roller 90 is inserted into the inner peripheral side of the moving handrail 82. The replacement accessory 10 used when replacing the umbrella-shaped roller 90 will be described below.
The replacement accessory 10, which is an example of the embodiment, will be described with reference to fig. 5 to 7. Fig. 5 is a top view of the replacement accessory 10. Fig. 6 is a bottom view of the replacement accessory 10. Fig. 7 is a perspective view of the pair of engaging pieces 30. Hereinafter, the opening and closing direction of the replacement assistive device 10 perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the replacement assistive device 10 will be described as the width direction.
Replacement accessory 10 is an accessory used when umbrella-shaped roller 90 is replaced as described above. More specifically, the replacement accessory 10 is an accessory that expands the end 82A, which is bent inward in the width direction on the back side of the moving handrail 82, outward and maintains the expanded state. According to the replacement auxiliary tool 10, the replacement workability of the umbrella-shaped roller 90 can be improved.
As shown in fig. 5 and 6, the replacement assistive device 10 includes: a pair of levers 20 rotatably supported so that the distal end side is opened by closing the proximal end side in the longitudinal direction; a pair of engaging pieces 30 provided outside the distal end portion of the lever 20 and engaged with the end portions 82A of the moving handrail 82, respectively; and a latch mechanism 40 that latches the pair of levers 20 in a state in which the distal ends of the pair of levers 20 are opened by a predetermined angle.
The pair of rods 20 are formed in an elongated shape, and the rods 20 are disposed substantially parallel to each other. The lever 20 includes a bent arm portion 21 and a grip portion 22 provided on the base end side of the arm portion 21. The arm 21 is provided with an engagement piece 30 to be described later on the distal end side, and has a rotation shaft 23 at a corner of the bend. The rotation shaft 23 is rotatably supported by a base 41 of the latch mechanism 40 described later.
As described above, the engagement piece 30 is a member that engages with the end 82A of the moving handrail 82. The engaging piece 30 is fixed to the distal end side of the lever 20. The engaging piece 30 is suitably formed of an aluminum material.
As shown in fig. 7, the engaging piece 30 is formed in a hook shape having a curved portion 30A in a cross section viewed in the longitudinal direction. The curved portion 30A is formed along a curved portion (curved side surface) in a cross section of the umbrella-shaped roller 90 as viewed from the moving direction. The curved portion 30A (the inner side in the width direction of the engaging piece 30) is formed in an arc shape along the outer periphery of the umbrella-shaped roller 90 in plan view.
As described above, the latch mechanism 40 is a mechanism that latches in a state where the distal end sides of the pair of levers 20 are opened by a predetermined angle. The latch mechanism 40 includes a base 41, a gear 42 rotatably supported by the base 41, a pair of gears 43 fixed to the rotation shafts 23 of the respective levers 20 and engaged with the gear 42, and a fixing lever 44 restricting rotation of the gear 42.
A gear 42, a pair of rotation shafts 23, and a fixing lever 44 are rotatably supported on the base 41. The gear 42 rotates the pair of gears 43 engaged with the gear 42 in synchronization, thereby rotating the rotation shafts 23 of the pair of levers 20 in synchronization, and opening and closing the pair of levers 20 in synchronization.
The fixing lever 44 is a member that fixes the pair of levers 20 in a state where the distal end sides of the pair of levers 20 are opened at an arbitrary angle by restricting the rotation of the gear 42. The fixing lever 44 includes a claw portion 44A engaged with the gear 42, an operation portion 44B extending toward the base end side, and a spring 44C urging the claw portion 44A in a direction opposite to the direction in which the gear 42 is engaged.
According to the fixing lever 44, the operation portion 44B is turned outward, so that the claw portion 44A can be engaged with the gear 42 to restrict the rotation of the gear 42, and the pair of levers 20 can be fixed. On the other hand, by rotating the operation portion 44B inward from the state where the pair of levers 20 are fixed, the engagement between the claw portion 44A and the gear 42 can be released, and the gear 42 can be rotated, so that the pair of levers 20 can be opened and closed.
The flow of the replacement work for umbrella-shaped roller 90 using replacement assistive device 10 will be described with reference to fig. 8.
As shown in fig. 8 (a), in the moving handrail 82 provided with the umbrella-shaped roller 90, the engaging piece 30 of the replacement aid 10 is inserted into the inner peripheral side of the moving handrail 82 from the front side of the umbrella-shaped roller 90, and the engaging piece 30 of the replacement aid 10 is moved toward the umbrella-shaped roller 90 on the inner peripheral side of the moving handrail 82, so that the bent portion 30A of each engaging piece 30 engages with the end 82A of the moving handrail 82.
As shown in fig. 8 (B), the pair of engagement pieces 30 are opened by closing the grip portions 22 of the pair of levers 20 of the replacement assistive device 10, so that the end 82A of the moving handrail 82 is opened. Further, in a plan view, the pair of levers 20 are fixed by turning the operation portion 44B of the fixing lever 44 outward in a state where the engaging pieces 30 are opened until the entire umbrella-shaped roller 90 is seen from between the engaging pieces 30. In this state, umbrella-shaped roller 90 is removed, and a new umbrella-shaped roller 90 is attached.
As shown in fig. 8 (C), the operation portion 44B of the fixing lever 44 is turned inward to release the fixation of the pair of levers 20. Then, the expanded moving handrail 82 returns to its original state, and the engaging piece 30 is closed by the elasticity of the moving handrail 82. Then, the replacement accessory 10 is pulled out from the inner peripheral side of the moving handrail 82, and the replacement operation is ended.
The present application is not limited to the above-described embodiments and modifications thereof, and can be modified and improved in various ways within the scope of the matters described in the claims of the present application.
