Description

Ocean space data management system and method
Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of ocean development and application, in particular to an ocean space data management system and method.
Background
Currently, the english language of the marine space data management system is called (Marine Spatial Data Infrastructure System, MSDI), which is an integral part of the marine field of SDI. MSDI in a broad sense includes both marine geography, business information, typically including seafloor topography data, sounding data, marine geology data, marine infrastructure data (sunken vessels, offshore facilities along shore, pipelines, cables), administrative region boundary data, protection region marine ecoenvironment data, oceanography, and the like. The method is needed to reasonably classify, layer, distribute and manage the offshore space data based on the modern GIS technology and a large-scale space database, and explore the sharing method and content of products and services based on the offshore space information.
The application of marine space data in the field of navigation is lagged, but some progress is made in recent years, the field of sea channel measurement is greatly changed, and the digital ocean construction, the provision of intelligent chart service and the implementation of the strategy of "E navigation" have become targets for common efforts in the maritime field of all countries of the world. However, achieving these goals requires a powerful informative maritime infrastructure as support, while requiring a high level of information resource sharing mechanisms. MSDI is an important approach and implementation to solve the above problems. The international sea-duct measurement organization (International Hydrographic Organization, IHO) began to develop MSDI construction as early as 2007 and established the MSDI working group at the 17 th international sea-duct measurement meeting. While informatization of maritime work in China is always established, the concept of MSDI is not widely popularized, and various offshore space data basically forms a standardized flow system from acquisition to application, but the MSDI has a gap from the aspects of utilization rate and final application form. Therefore, there is a need to build platforms, data resource centers, standards specifications, etc. for MSDI to aggregate offshore space base data, promoting faster development of the maritime industry.
