Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a blocking device for heat-sealing packaging films, intended to be mounted on wrapping machines, in particular on wrapping machines for packaging pallets.
Background
It is known to store and transport goods using pallets.
In addition, it is also known to use a pallet wrapping machine, to wrap a pallet and goods placed thereon with stretch film, to stabilize the pallet and goods as a whole, making transportation and/or storage easier to manage.
In particular, automatic winding machines are commonly used in automated production lines, placed at the end of the line in order to automatically package the goods, and cut the edges of the film, the so-called film tails, at the end of the packaging, and then weld or fix them to the underlying film layer of the goods.
The welding of the edges of the film, more precisely the heat sealing of the edges of the film, can be carried out in direct contact with the packaged goods (in which case the heat sealing elements in the wrapping machine can be pressed directly against the goods packaged with the film), or with the use of a telescopic blocking rod placed between the last film applied to the goods and the last film or films: in other words, the last wrap of film rests against the blocking rod. In this way, the heat-seal element can be pressed against the telescopic blocking rod, interacting only with the film layer also wound around the blocking rod, i.e.: only with the thin film layers required for effective soldering. The second solution is particularly advantageous, for example, when the surface of the goods is too irregular to be welded in direct contact, or in the case where it is necessary to avoid any contact with the product on the pallet, to ensure that the goods are not damaged.
Specifically, when there is a blocking lever, the blocking lever is equipped with a blocking device that manages the engagement and disengagement of the blocking lever; however, current blocking devices often have complex movement characteristics that can result in large dimensions, compromising the effectiveness and ease of use of the blocking device.
In addition, in the event that the shape and/or condition of the cargo impedes removal of the blocking lever, disengagement of the blocking lever may be complicated, thus reducing versatility of the pallet winder itself.
It is therefore desirable to improve the blocking devices currently used for packaging films, and therefore to improve the current automatic pallet winding machines, to ensure a strong versatility, a small size and a simple movement profile.
Disclosure of Invention
It is an object of the present invention to provide a barrier device that is versatile.
It is a further object of the invention to provide a blocking device that is small in size.
It is a further object of the invention to provide a blocking device in which the assembly is movable according to simplified movement characteristics.
An advantage of the present invention is to provide a blocking device that is easily disengaged from the goods at the end of the heat sealing operation.
The objects and advantages of the present invention are achieved by a blocking device as defined in the present invention.

Detailed Description
The general features of the invention are described in detail below by way of example, but are not to be construed as limiting the practice of the invention.
Referring to the drawings, there is shown a blocking device 10 intended to be mounted on a wrapping machine a for wrapping film F, and in particular on a wrapping machine a for wrapping trays P, as can be seen in fig. 7.
Referring to fig. 1, the blocking device 10 provides a blocking rod member 14 adapted to receive and support a portion of the film F and a support unit 11 of the blocking rod member 14; as can be seen in fig. 3 and 4, the blocking lever element can be moved on the support unit 11 from the rest position R1, R2 to the extended operating position O.
Specifically, when the blocking lever member 14 is in the extended operating position O, the supporting unit 11 is extended laterally to receive, support and allow the heat-sealing operation of the film F at the end of the packaging of the tray P; for this purpose, the blocking lever element 14 has a recessed area 29 adapted to provide a normal support surface for the heat-seal element (not labeled) in the wrapping machine a during the heat-seal operation. Otherwise, at the end of the heat-sealing operation, the blocking lever element 14 occupies the rest positions R1, R2, so as to disengage from the contact of the film F.
As shown in fig. 4 and 9, the support unit 11 has a box-like housing 34 extending longitudinally along the support unit 11, in which the rack 28 is interposed, connected to the blocking lever member 14 by a gear 35.
The rack 28 is movable along the box-like housing 34 by a second drive 36 to allow the blocking lever member 14 to be moved from the collapsed positions R1, R2 to the extended operating position O.
In particular, the blocking lever element 14 is movably connected to the gear 35 to change its position with respect to the rack 28: for example, in an embodiment of the blocking device 10, the blocking lever element 14 can be fixed in a removable manner by means of screws to a fixing pin integral with the gear 35.
For example, the second actuator may be selected from a device comprising a hydraulic actuator, a pneumatic actuator and an electric actuator.
As shown in fig. 2, the blocking device 10 further comprises a support structure 25 supporting the unit 11 and moving means 16, 17, 18 configured to move the support unit 11 relative to the support structure 25 along a moving direction D1; the direction of movement D1 is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal development axis of the box-like unit 34.
Therefore, by the movement of the supporting unit 11, the blocking lever member 14 can be moved from the maximum extension position MP toward the tray P to the maximum retraction position MR with respect to the tray P.
In detail, as can be seen in fig. 1, the moving means 16, 17, 18 comprise lever means 17, 18 interconnected with each other and having a free end 30 connected to the support unit 11 and a fixed end 31 connected to the support structure 25, and a first actuator 16 arranged to operate the lever means 17, 18 and connected to the support structure 25 at a first end 32 and to the lever means 17, 18 at a second end 33.
As can be seen in fig. 2, the first driver 16 is configured to exert a pushing and pulling action on the lever arrangement 17, 18 along an operating direction D2 arranged transversely with respect to the moving direction D1.
For example, the first actuator may be selected from a device comprising a hydraulic actuator, a pneumatic actuator and an electric actuator.
As shown in fig. 1 and 5, in the embodiment of the blocking device 10, the lever means 17, 18 comprise a first lever means 17 and a second lever means 18 which are connected to each other by a first shaft means 22.
Furthermore, the first lever means 17 is also connected to the support unit 11 by means of a second shaft means 26 at the free end 30, while the second lever means 18 is connected to the support structure 25 not only by means of a third shaft means 20 at the fixed end 31, but also by means of a fourth shaft means 21 at the second end 33. The fourth shaft means 21 is closer to the third shaft means 20 than the first shaft means 22. The first driver 16 is furthermore connected at a first end 32 to the support structure 25 by a fifth shaft arrangement 27.
Referring to fig. 1 to 4, the supporting unit 11 moves in the moving direction D1 to bring the blocking lever member 14 closer to or farther from the tray P, that is: the support unit 11 is moved in the direction D1 from the maximum extended position MP to the maximum retracted position MR, the movement being guided by rail means 15 adapted to slide in slider means 24 arranged on the support structure 25.
Furthermore, the rail device 15 has a stop device 23 which stops the sliding of the rail device 15 in the slider device 24 when the support unit 11 reaches the maximum extension position MP.
In this way, the support unit 11 can be safely slid from the maximum extension position MP to the maximum retraction position MR along the direction D1.
Referring to fig. 2, the lever means 17, 18 and the first driver 16, as can be seen in fig. 8, extend and are movable substantially in the same horizontal plane, or/and are oriented in such a way as to minimize the overall dimensions in a direction parallel to said direction of movement D1.
Finally, as shown in fig. 5, the blocking device 10 has a third drive 12, 13 connected to the support structure 25, allowing the support structure 25 and thus the support unit 11 to move in a direction D3 perpendicular to the horizontal plane and thus in a direction perpendicular to the direction of movement D1, to allow a telescopic movement of the support unit 11 under the tray P (see fig. 6). In other words, the vertical height of the blocking device 10 can be adjusted by means of said third drives 12, 13.
For example, the third drive (12, 13) may be selected in a device comprising a hydraulic drive, a pneumatic drive and an electric drive.
The movement of the blocking lever element 14 from the collapsed position R1, R2 to the extended operating position O will now be described in more detail.
As expected, the blocking lever element 14 is movably connected to the gear 35 to change its position relative to the rack 28: for example, referring to fig. 3 and 4, the blocking lever element 14 is configured to rotate about an axis A1 parallel to the direction D1, along a first rotation direction (R1) or a second rotation direction (R2), from the extended operating position O to the rest positions R1, R2.
In other words, the blocking lever element 14 is configured to move on the support unit 11 towards the collapsed rest position Rl or towards the expanded rest position R2, in which position the blocking lever element 14 extends as an elongated end of the support unit 11.
Specifically, the rotation of the blocking lever element 14 is the result of the linear movement of the rack 28 caused by the second drive 36, which movement is converted into a rotation of the gear 35 and ultimately into a rotation of the blocking lever element 14.
Since the blocking lever member 14 can be configured to rotate in either the first direction r1 or the second direction r2, the blocking lever member 14 is allowed to move at the end of the heat sealing operation, still in a direction substantially coincident with the advancing direction of the tray P, facilitating the detachment of the blocking lever member 14 from the film F.
As is evident from the above, the blocking device 10 according to the invention successfully achieves all the preset aims previously mentioned.
The description and illustrations in the figures are provided for the purpose of illustrating the innovative functioning of the blocking device 10.
Indeed, the materials, so long as they are compatible with the specific use, as well as the individual components of each, may be appropriately selected according to the requirements and the state of the art available. Modifications and/or additions may be made to the description and illustrations of the drawings.
