Description
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the technical field of pet foods, relates to cat food, and particularly relates to staple food cat food with a tooth cleaning function and a preparation method thereof.
Background
With the increasing number of pets in cities, the number of pet disease treatments is synchronously increased, according to the data given in the white paper book for the treatment of 2022 Chinese felines, the number of cats in 2022 is 61% of the number of the whole pets, and according to statistics, the occurrence rate of periodontal diseases of adult dogs and cats over 3 years old is 60% -80%, and the occurrence rate is continuously increased with the increase of ages. Common oral diseases in cats mainly include: gingivitis, periodontitis, dental resorption, stomatitis, halitosis, calculus, and the like, wherein plaque and calculus are the major factors affecting the oral health of cats.
For cats, which are strictly meat animals, prolonged feeding of relatively soft meat results in reduced physical friction of the food against the teeth, while also being prone to attachment of food residues, causing excessive growth, proliferation and plaque formation of harmful microorganisms. Because dental plaque naturally formed on the surfaces of teeth of cats is caused by diet factors, dental calculus which is difficult to remove is always accumulated and finally formed under the condition that human intervention is not carried out, and secondary diseases such as serious halitosis, gingivitis, gingival bleeding, decayed teeth, tooth folds and the like are easily induced by the dental calculus accumulated for a long time, so that normal diet and health of cats are affected, and the situation that cats must remove all teeth and irreparable damage is caused to the cats is possibly caused.
At the moment that healthy pet keeping knowledge is continuously popularized, pet owners are more and more concerned about the health state of pets, wherein the pet owners can inhibit the formation and development of dental calculus by brushing cats, so that the oral health is maintained, however, brushing cats is a very challenging task, and even if the cats closely related to the owners are in normal times, the cats are not willing to cooperate to complete the whole brushing process, on the other hand, the whole brushing process is tedious and time-consuming, and the pet owners cannot always stand for a long time. Thus, improving and maintaining oral health of cats by just the physical means of brushing is difficult to achieve in terms of sustainability. Besides brushing teeth, the use of the dentifrice is a common method for improving the oral health of pets, the main components of the dentifrice on the market at present are usually brown algae powder, lysozyme and the like, the principle of the dentifrice is mainly that the dentifrice has the functions of anti-inflammatory and antioxidation, the function of improving oral inflammation is achieved, the function of regulating the oral microorganism composition is achieved to a certain extent, however, the solid dentifrice is difficult to mix uniformly when being mixed into dry grains, so that the palatability is affected to a certain extent, the feed intake of a cat is unstable, in addition, the dentifrice can be fed independently only rarely, and the operation is also complicated. The method commonly used in class 3 is to use mouthwash or nozzle breath freshener for cat, wherein the main components of the mouthwash or nozzle breath freshener mainly comprise peppermint essential oil, tea polyphenol, rosemary oil and the like, and the main components are mainly used for solving the problem of bad breath, but the continuous effect is difficult to be exerted fundamentally. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a cat food which can not only exert physical friction, but also contain components for improving oral health and regulating oral microorganism composition, and is convenient to feed.
Aiming at the three common methods for improving the oral health of the cat, the method has the following defects: 1. brushing teeth is unacceptable for most cats, and the operation process is tedious, time-consuming and difficult to persist for a long time; 2. the palatability can be affected by feeding the dentifrice, so that the feed intake of the cat is affected, in addition, the dentifrice is often required to be fed after being uniformly stirred with dry grains or cans, the operation is also complicated, the components for playing the function are single, and the effect is often inferior to expectations; 3. mouthwash or breath freshener for cats mainly covers bad breath through certain refreshing components, and the problem is difficult to solve fundamentally.
