饮料容器载体如用于瓶和饮料罐的载体(例如啤酒的六件装)典型地由包含大量湿强度剂的纸板生产,因为包装通常放入冷水中约一小时以冷却内容物。当包装从水中升起时,包装必须完好无损。该特性在提手完整性测试或循环跌落测试(CDT)中以提手完整性(Handle Integrity)(HI)测量。

分散体涂布层由分散体涂料形成。分散体层可以通过常规方法如使用辊涂、喷涂、幕涂、刮涂、狭缝式涂布、浸涂、凹版辊式涂布、反向直接凹版式涂布、棒涂、软头刮刀涂布和/或它们的组合来施涂。优选地,涂布方法是刮涂或棒涂。该方法可用来制造如上所述的可热密封纸板。
如本文所用,“颜料”是指增量剂、填料和涂料,如造纸工业中通常所提及的用于造纸的粘土、白垩或高岭土。
吸水率(COBB 3600)根据ISO 535:2014纸和板-水吸收性测定-Cobb方法(Paperand Board-Determination of water absorptiveness-Cobb method),使用60分钟(3600秒)的吸水时间进行测定。
将结合各种实施方案和其它方面进一步描述本发明。它们可以自由组合,除非上下文另外明确指出。
根据本发明的优选实施方案,将内施胶剂添加到湿部以增加板的疏水性,并且可包括酸型施胶化学品、碱性或中性施胶剂,并且可为例如烷基烯酮二聚体(AKD)、烷基琥珀酸酐(ASA)或松香(rosin),或这些的组合。
相应的分散体阻隔涂布/分散体涂布层能够以一层或多层施涂。换句话讲,至少一个分散体涂布层形成为以一层或多层施涂的分散体涂布层。优选地,一个分散体涂布层以一个层施涂,另一个分散体涂布层以两个或更多个(子)层施涂。
相应的分散体阻隔涂布/分散体涂布层有利地包含胶乳和/或聚烯烃。优选地,分散体涂料是无蜡的——这进一步改善了可再循环性。优选地,分散体涂料包含至少30重量%(例如30-100重量%)的量的胶乳和/或聚烯烃。胶乳可选自苯乙烯-丁二烯胶乳、苯乙烯-丙烯酸酯胶乳、丙烯酸酯胶乳、乙烯基-乙酸酯胶乳、丙烯酸酯胶乳、乙酸乙烯酯胶乳、乙酸乙烯酯-丙烯酸酯胶乳、苯乙烯-丁二烯-丙烯腈胶乳、苯乙烯-丙烯酸酯-丙烯腈胶乳、苯乙烯-丁二烯-丙烯酸酯-丙烯腈胶乳、苯乙烯-马来酸酐胶乳、苯乙烯-丙烯酸酯-马来酸酐胶乳、或这些胶乳的混合物。聚烯烃可选自聚乙烯、聚丙烯和/或聚乙烯与聚丙烯的共聚物。
胶乳优选地为苯乙烯-丁二烯(SB)胶乳或苯乙烯-丙烯酸酯(SA)胶乳、丙烯酸酯胶乳、乙酸乙烯酯胶乳、或乙酸乙烯酯-丙烯酸酯胶乳,或这些胶乳的混合物。胶乳可以是生物基的,即衍生自生物质,如生物基苯乙烯-丙烯酸酯或苯乙烯-丁二烯胶乳。
根据本发明的另一个实施方案,分散体阻隔涂料还包含颜料。颜料可选自粘土(优选地高岭粘土)、碳酸钙和/或滑石。在本上下文中,应当注意,颜料在分散体阻隔涂料中的存在增强了涂布板的可再循环性。
除了胶乳和颜料之外,一个或多个分散体涂布层还可包含少量的添加剂,如按所述分散体涂布层的干重计0.1-5重量%、或0.1-1、或1-5重量%。添加剂可包括增稠剂、消泡剂或防泡剂、分散助剂、额外的颜料、交联剂、滑动(slip)添加剂、填料、剥离剂、防腐剂和防粘连剂。
根据本发明的另一个实施方案,至少一个分散体涂布层包含交联剂。如本文所用,交联剂意在定义与羧基和/或羟基反应的试剂。
交联剂优选地选自碳酸锆铵(AZC)、碳酸锆钾、乙酸锆钾、(甲基化)三聚氰胺甲醛树脂或(甲基化)脲甲醛树脂、乙二醛、咪唑啉衍生物、双醛多糖以及它们的组合。交联剂优选地以按所述分散体涂布层的干重计0.1-5重量%、或1-2重量%的量添加。交联剂进一步改善阻隔特性,例如通过提供较致密且不太多孔的涂布层。此外,表面的光滑度得到改善。在一个优选的实施方案中,交联剂选自双醛多糖,如双醛纤维素(DAC)和双醛淀粉。
基板在两个侧面上施涂有分散体阻隔涂料——这是该产品的需求,因为它将需要经受住浸入水中一段时间(以冷却饮料)。分散体涂料(形成至少一个分散体涂布层)优选地以5-15gsm,优选地5-12或6-10gsm的涂层重量施涂在每个侧面上。在该实例中,由于在实验室试验中使用的涂布技术的限制,在侧面的一者(未涂布的侧面)上选择较高的涂布重量。在全尺寸中,更薄的层是可能的。
纸板基材包括第一和第二侧面。在用于由涂布纸板形成的饮料容器的载体(纸板饮料容器载体)中,该第二侧面将面向外侧并提供载体的印刷侧。在实施方案中,纸板基材在第二侧面上包含两个子层的分散体涂布层。
术语“湿强度剂”是指湿强度化学品,典型地湿强度树脂,它通过利用共价键使纤维素纤维交联来改善处于湿态的纸板的拉伸特性。湿强度剂可包括永久性和暂时性湿强度剂,例如脲树脂、三聚氰胺树脂、聚酰胺基胺-表氯醇(PAAE)树脂、PAM-乙二醛树脂、乙二醛、乙二醛树脂、双醛-淀粉。
根据本发明的另一个优选的实施方案,称为涂布纸板在3600秒后的吸水率的COBB(3600)为≤20gsm,优选地≤10gsm。
涂布纸板在60分钟内被润湿后吸水率优选地为≤20重量%,更优选地≤10重量%。
有利地,涂布纸板的芯吸指数(Wick index)为≤3kg/m2,优选地≤2kg/m2,并且更优选地≤1kg/m2
根据本发明的又一个优选的实施方案,涂布纸板在水中1小时后的抗张指数GM为≥15Nm/g,优选地≥20Nm/g,尤其是≥30Nm/g。
基材/基板优选地为包含多个(例如三个)层的多层基板。其可包含漂白或未漂白的纸浆。优选地较大部分为化学浆,但其也可优选地在中间层片中包含机械浆(如CTMP)。
在其中基板仅包含化学浆的实施方案中,内施胶的量可以稍微较低,例如1.5-2.5kg/吨或1.9-2.5kg/吨。在其中基板包含机械浆的实施方案中,内施胶的量可以较高。如果基板包含30-50重量%的机械浆,则内施胶可为例如2.5-6kg/吨或3-5kg/吨。
在一个实施方案中,在用分散体涂料涂布之前,对基板涂布颜料。
本发明还涉及一种饮料容器载体,该饮料容器载体包含前述涂布纸板或由前述涂布纸板制造。换句话讲,本发明还涉及前述涂布纸板用于构建饮料容器载体的用途。
依据根据本发明的饮料容器载体的实施方案,载体包含提手,该提手通过涂布纸板中的结构和/或由涂布纸板制造的结构而形成。涂布纸板中的结构优选地为一个或多个承载孔。由涂布纸板制造的结构优选地为一个或多个承载带。
根据本发明的另一个实施方案,该载体的主要部件是涂布纸板的坯件,该坯件基本上形成整个载体。其它部件通常仅为固定材料,如胶、钉等。
根据本发明的又一个实施方案,载体的基本形状为具有顶壁、两个侧壁以及底壁的端部开口的管状箱,其通过将涂布纸板围绕相应的饮料容器包裹而形成。
根据实施例和附图,本发明的其它特征将变得显而易见,其中:
图1显示了根据本发明的一个优选的实施方案的涂布纸板的示意性剖面图,
图2显示了处于用于测试提手完整性(HI)的测试台上的根据本发明的一个优选的实施方案的饮料容器载体,并且
在图1中,在示意性剖面图中显示了涂布纸板10的片材。涂布纸板10包含具有第一侧面14(图中的上侧面)和第二侧面16(图中的底侧面)的纸板基材12,其中这些侧面14、16中的每者被相应的分散体涂布层18、20涂布。
纸板基材12(其为板10的基体)包含(i)小于0.5kg/吨的量的湿强度剂和至少1.5kg/吨内施胶剂。分散体涂布层18、20为在纸板基材12的两个侧面14、16上施涂的水性分散体阻隔涂层。在此处图1所显示的实例中,第一侧面14上的分散体涂布层18是以两个子层施涂的分散体涂布层22,并且第二侧面14上的分散体涂布层20是以一个单层施涂的分散体涂布层24。
在纸板基材12内,湿强度添加物至少部分地被较高施胶剂量(HS BB:硬施胶基板(Hard Sized Baseboard))与借助于纸板基材12(HS BB)的每一侧面上的分散体涂料(DB:分散体阻隔)(分散体涂布层18,20)对外层片的阻隔密封的组合进行替换。分散体涂布层18、20防止板10的表面26、28润湿,并且纸板基材12内的较高施胶剂量将防止毛边渗透,同时板10是可再循环的。与由纸板制造的常规饮料容器载体的材料相比,这些措施减少了润湿时的强度损失,并且同时改善了可再循环性。
如图1所显示的材料特别适用于制造如图2所显示的饮料容器载体30。以两个层施涂的涂布层22优选地处于相应的饮料容器载体30的外侧上,并且以一个层施涂的涂布层24优选地处于内侧上。
图2显示了在用于测试饮料容器载体30的提手38的提手完整性的测试台36上具有多个饮料容器34和饮料容器载体30的包装32。
图2所显示的包装32的饮料容器34是饮料罐。所示出的包装32包含:封装在端部开口的管状箱中的六个饮料容器34的组合体,该端部开口的管状箱通过围绕饮料容器34包裹而形成,同时饮料容器34分组为双排、横向对齐的三联体;涂布纸板10的切割和刻痕的坯件40,并且坯件40的端部的固定的方式导致箱壁围绕饮料容器34的组被拉紧以便形成紧紧包裹的包装32,并且确保饮料容器34在包装32的正常处置下保持在箱中。
该包装结构通过如下方式形成:将坯件40围绕以双排布置且横向对齐的饮料容器34的组包裹,并且在通过折叠操作(未明确显示)将形成底壁的面板拉向形成侧壁的面板的内侧的同时固定坯件40的端部。饮料容器34为公知的构造。应当理解,坯件40可被修改成使其适于包装饮料瓶以及相同或相似构造的其它制品,即,其它种类的饮料容器34。
坯件40是涂布纸板10的细长矩形片材,其具有合适的重量或规格,并且被切割和刻痕,使得其关于在其侧边缘中间延伸的纵向中心线对称。它被纵向间隔开的形成铰链的折叠线42(刻痕线)分隔,该折叠线以平行关系在坯件40的横向上延伸,并且将它分隔为形成顶壁44的中心面板部分、形成邻接侧壁46的面板部分以及形成底壁48的端部面板部分,端部面板部分在它们的终端部分具有相对较窄宽度的端部面板连接条或锁定和闭锁(latching)条,它们的内边缘分别由铰链刻痕线限定(未显示)。中心面板部分(形成顶壁44)包含半椭圆形相对的线,以用于形成充当提手38的包装承载孔50。换句话讲,提手38直接由坯件40或涂布纸板10的结构形成。
测试台36布置为用于测试提手38的提手完整性。在相应的提手完整性测试中,填充的包装32被夹紧或物理上压制(held down),同时测试台的牵引装置52保持提手38。为此,此处实例中的装置使用指形元件54。牵引装置52牵拉(多件装)载体30的提手38直到其失效(fails,断裂)。测力传感器测量提手38被牵拉到失效时的力。测试结果包括失效时的峰值力(Fmax)和提手失效位置的描述。
饮料包装中的公认规则是致使提手失效所需的力必须是包装32重量的至少三倍。
湿提手强度测试通过将填充的包装32浸没在水中3分钟,然后如干式测试中来测试提手38的提手强度而执行。当然,包装32中使用的纸板10和胶必须被设计用于潮湿环境。
表1显示了与不同设计的板相比,根据本发明的一个优选实施方案的涂布纸板10的特性的比较。根据本发明的实施方案的涂布纸板10被称为HS BB+DB(硬施胶基板HS BB以及分散体阻隔物DB)。参考板(REF)是根据现有技术的常规牛皮纸背板(KBB),其包含高量的湿强度剂。KKB+DB(REF 2)是参考(包含高量的湿强度剂),但具有分散体阻隔物。HS BB(REF3)是包含高量的内施胶剂的基板;HS BB+DB是根据本发明(INV)的构思,包含高量的内施胶剂和分散体阻隔物。
表1:与不同设计的纸板相比,根据本发明的一个实施方案的涂布纸板的特性的比较。
施涂到HS BB+DB(Inv)的分散体涂料以6gsm的涂布重量在印刷侧上且以15gsm在背侧上施涂到基板。分散体是不含颜料的聚烯烃分散体(100%)。
“相对于KKB的克重”是相对于参考KBB的克重。这包括在一些结果的计算中——HI(提手完整性)和CDT(循环跌落测试)显示绝对值和加权为ref克重的值。这是因为克重也影响该值。
参考的强度特性以干燥和在23℃下润湿/浸入水中60分钟后两者显示出。对于其它样品(包括HS BB+DB),显示了浸入水中60分钟后的强度特性。
从结果可以看出,在将载体浸入水中之后,由参考制造的载体的提手完整性大大降低。分散体阻隔物的应用稍微改善了HI,而湿强度剂与内施胶剂的交换使其甚至更差。通过本发明的构思,在载体已经浸入水中60分钟之后的提手完整性也几乎与参考干燥时的参考的水平相同。
表2:“板+ISO”显示所使用的方法和样品板的一些描述。大多数特性通过使用标准方法进行测量,而芯吸指数(毛边吸水率)、循环跌落测试(CDT)以及提手完整性不是标准方法,并且包括与这些描述的关联。

芯吸指数定义了边缘渗透,并根据以下方法通过边缘渗透测试-EWT(边缘芯吸测试,Edge Wick Test)进行测量:将纸板样品用防水胶带(或者如在本情况下,仅采用现有阻隔涂料)在两个侧面上覆盖,并且切割成特定尺寸。将样品在23℃、50% RH下调节10分钟,之后测量样品的厚度和重量。此后,将样品放入到测试溶液,特别是水(浴)中特定时间段。然后通过下式计算芯吸指数:
其中E是芯吸指数(kg/m2),W1是浴前重量(mg),W2是浴后重量(mg),t是厚度(μm),并且l是样品边缘的总长度。

Claims (18)

1.用于饮料容器载体(30)的涂布纸板(10),其包含:
-纸板基材(12),
-在所述纸板基材(12)的每个侧面(14,16)上的分散体涂布层(18,20),
其中所述纸板基材(12)包含
-湿强度剂,所述湿强度剂的量在基于所述基材(12)的干固体含量计≥0重量%至≤0.05重量%的范围内,以及
-用于使所述纸板基材(12)更疏水的施胶剂,其中所述施胶剂以基于所述基材(12)的干固体含量计≥0,15重量%,尤其是在≥0,15重量%至≤0.5重量%的范围内的量存在。
2.根据权利要求1所述的纸板,其中所述施胶剂选自以下施胶剂类型:酸性施胶剂、碱性施胶剂、中性施胶剂,或这些类型中至少两种的混合物。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的纸板,其中所述施胶剂选自烷基烯酮二聚体、烷基琥珀酸酐、松香或它们的混合物。
4.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的纸板,其中所述分散体涂布层(18,20)中的至少一者是以一个单层(18,20)或两个子层施涂的分散体涂布层(18,20)。
5.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的纸板,其中所述分散体涂布层(18,20)中的至少一者包含胶乳和/或聚烯烃,尤其是以在≥30重量%至≤100重量%范围内的量。
6.根据权利要求5所述的纸板,其中所述胶乳是以下组中的一种:苯乙烯-丁二烯胶乳、苯乙烯-丙烯酸酯胶乳、丙烯酸酯胶乳、乙酸乙烯酯胶乳、乙酸乙烯酯-丙烯酸酯胶乳、苯乙烯-丁二烯-丙烯腈胶乳、苯乙烯-丙烯酸酯-丙烯腈胶乳、苯乙烯-马来酸酐胶乳、苯乙烯-丙烯酸酯-马来酸酐胶乳、或这些胶乳的任何组合的混合物。
7.根据权利要求5或6所述的纸板,其中所述至少一个分散体涂布层(18,20)还包含颜料,尤其选自粘土、碳酸钙和/或滑石。
8.根据权利要求5至8中任一项所述的纸板,其中所述至少一个分散体涂布层(18,20)还包含量在≥0.1重量%和≤5重量%范围内的添加剂,其中所述添加剂包括增稠剂、消泡剂或防泡剂、分散助剂、额外的颜料、交联剂、滑动添加剂、填料、剥离剂、防腐剂和防粘连剂中的至少一种。
9.根据权利要求5至8中任一项所述的纸板,其中所述至少一个分散体涂布层(18,20)还包含交联剂,所述交联剂是与羧基和/或羟基反应的试剂。
10.根据权利要求9所述的纸板,其中所述交联剂选自碳酸锆铵、碳酸锆钾、乙酸锆钾、三聚氰胺甲醛树脂、脲甲醛树脂、乙二醛、咪唑啉衍生物、双醛多糖,以及这些组成员的任何组合。
11.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的纸板,其中所述湿强度剂包含以下组中的至少一种:脲树脂、三聚氰胺树脂、聚酰胺基胺-表氯醇树脂、PAM-乙二醛树脂、乙二醛、乙二醛树脂、双醛-淀粉。
12.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的纸板,其中称为所述涂布纸板在3600秒后的吸水率的COBB 3600为≤20gsm,优选地≤10gsm。
13.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的纸板,其中所述涂布纸板在60分钟内被润湿后的吸水率优选地为≤20重量%,更优选地≤10重量%。
14.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的纸板,其中所述涂布纸板的芯吸指数为≤3kg/m2,优选地≤2kg/m2,并且更优选地≤1kg/m2
15.饮料容器载体(30),其包含根据权利要求1至14中任一项所述的涂布纸板(10)或由根据权利要求1至14中任一项所述的涂布纸板(10)制造。
16.根据权利要求15所述的饮料容器载体,其中所述载体(30)包含提手(38),所述提手(38)通过所述涂布纸板(10)中的结构和/或由所述涂布纸板(10)制造的结构而形成。
17.根据权利要求15或16所述的饮料容器载体,其中该载体(30)的主要部件是涂布纸板(10)的坯件(40),所述坯件(40)尤其地基本上形成整个载体(30)。
18.根据权利要求15至17中任一项所述的饮料容器载体,其中所述载体(30)的基本形状为具有顶壁(44)、两个侧壁(46)以及底壁(48)的端部开口的管状箱,其通过将所述涂布纸板(10)围绕所述饮料容器(34)包裹而形成。
