Fig. 3 shows a flow chart of a mail revocation method 300 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The method 300 is adapted to be executed in a mail server 120, such as the aforementioned computing device 200. Mail server 120 may be communicatively coupled to one or more sender clients 110, one or more recipient clients 130.
As shown in fig. 3, method 300 includes steps 310-340.
First, in step 310, the sender client 110 may send a revocation request for a target mail to the mail server 120. The mail server 120 determines whether a time interval between a transmission time of the target mail and a current time exceeds a predetermined length of time in response to a withdrawal request for the target mail transmitted from the sender client 110.
In one embodiment, sender client 110 includes a mail revocation button. The sender may click a mail revocation button at the sender client 110 to effect sending a revocation request for the target mail to the mail server 120. Accordingly, in step 310, the mail server 120 (front end) may determine whether the time interval between the transmission time of the target mail and the current time exceeds a predetermined length in response to the withdrawal request for the target mail transmitted by the sender client 110 by clicking the mail withdrawal button.
In one implementation, the backend of mail server 120 includes a info, recallpolicy, recallhistory interface. The front end of the mail server 120 may implement, through the info, recallpolicy, recallhistory interface of the request back end, to determine whether the time interval between the sending time and the current time of the target mail exceeds a predetermined duration in response to the withdrawal request for the target mail sent by the sender client 110.
Here, in the embodiment of the present invention, the conditions that need to be satisfied for withdrawing the mail include: the time interval between the sending time of the target mail and the current time does not exceed a preset time length. In one embodiment, the predetermined time period may be, for example, 7 days, but the present invention is not particularly limited to the predetermined time period.
If the time interval between the sending time of the target mail and the current time does not exceed the predetermined length of time, the following step 320 is continued.
In step 320, mail server 120 returns the recipient selection page of the target mail to sender client 110, and sender client 110 may display the recipient selection page.
The sender may then select one or more recipient information from among the plurality of recipient information for the targeted mail at the recipient selection page of the sender client 110.
Next, in step 330, the mail server 120 obtains one or more pieces of recipient information selected by the sender on the recipient selection page.
It is noted that in an embodiment of the present invention, by providing a recipient selection page of a target mail to a sender client for a sender to select a part of recipient information (one or more recipient information) from a plurality of recipient information of the target mail, a mail withdraw operation is performed for the selected part of recipients of the target mail.
In one implementation, the backend of mail server 120 also includes a recallreason, recalldetail, recall interface. The front end of the mail server 120 may implement a receiver selection page to return the target mail to the sender client 110 by requesting a recallreason, recalldetail, recall interface of the back end to obtain one or more receiver information selected by the sender at the receiver selection page.
Finally, in step 340, the mailbox folders corresponding to the one or more pieces of recipient information (selected by the sender on the recipient selection page) are traversed to find the target mail from the mailbox folders corresponding to the one or more pieces of recipient information, and the target mail in each mailbox folder is deleted. In this way, the recipient client to which the one or more recipient information corresponds no longer displays the target mail, i.e., the target mail that the one or more recipient clients previously received (whether read or not) has been revoked, thereby enabling mail revocation for portions of recipients of the target mail.
Here, in one embodiment, the Exchange server node may be utilized to traverse one or more mailbox folders corresponding to the recipient information to find the target mail from the mailbox folders and delete the target mail in each mailbox folder.
In one embodiment of the present invention, when traversing the mailbox folder corresponding to one or more recipient information (using the Exchange server node), it may also be determined whether the recipient information contains a group for each recipient information (selected by the sender on the recipient selection page).
If the recipient information includes a group, a plurality of group member information included in the group is acquired. Specifically, the plurality of group member information contained by the group may be queried through ldap. Then, traversing the mailbox folders corresponding to the group member information to search the target mail from the mailbox folders corresponding to the group member information, and deleting the target mail in each mailbox folder.
In addition, if the receiver information does not contain the group, the mailbox folder corresponding to the receiver information is directly traversed to search the target mail from the mailbox folder, and the target mail in the mailbox folder is deleted.
In one embodiment of the invention, before returning the recipient selection page of the target mail to the sender client, it may first be determined whether the target mail is a mail that has been previously revoked that needs to be revoked again.
If the target mail is a mail that needs to be re-withdrawn, a re-withdraw page is returned to the sender client 110 so that the sender can send a re-withdraw request to the mail server 120 at the re-withdraw page, for example, by clicking a re-withdraw button on the re-withdraw page. Subsequently, the mail server 120 returns the recipient selection page of the target mail to the sender client 110 in response to the re-revocation request transmitted by the sender via the re-revocation page.
If the target mail is not one that needs to be withdrawn again, mail server 120 may return the recipient selection page of the target mail directly to sender client 110.
In one embodiment of the present invention, after the mail server 120 returns the recipient selection page of the target mail to the sender client 110, the sender may also input withdrawal reason information at the recipient selection page of the sender client 110. The mail server 120 may acquire withdrawal reason information entered by the sender on the recipient selection page, and may store the target mail information in association with the withdrawal reason information. Specifically, the target mail information may be stored in association with the withdrawal reason information in the data storage device. Thus, the user can inquire the withdrawal reason of the target mail.
In one embodiment of the invention, each mail piece includes a unique mail piece identification, i.e., the mail piece identification corresponds one-to-one to the mail piece for identifying the mail piece. The withdrawal request for the target mail sent by the sender client includes the target mail identifier. When searching for the target mail from the mailbox folder, the target mail corresponding to the target mail identifier can be searched for from the mailbox folder by acquiring the target mail identifier, for example, the target mail identifier can be acquired from the withdrawal request, and then, based on the target mail identifier.
In one embodiment of the present invention, after deleting the target mail in each mailbox folder (corresponding to the selected one or more recipient information), mail server 120 may also send a reminder mail to sender client 110, one or more recipient clients 130 corresponding to the one or more recipient information that the target mail has been revoked, to remind the sender and recipient that the target mail has been revoked. In addition, the reminding mail of which the target mail is withdrawn can be sent to the manager client.
In one embodiment of the present invention, mail server 120 may also generate mail withdrawal details from a withdrawal request for the target mail sent by the sender client and store the mail withdrawal details in the data storage device. In this way, the user is facilitated to query the details of the withdrawn mail.
According to the mail withdrawal method 300 of the present invention, when receiving a withdrawal request for a target mail sent by a sender client, a mail server determines whether a time interval between a sending time and a current time of the target mail exceeds a predetermined time length, and if the time interval does not exceed the predetermined time length, returns a recipient selection page of the target mail to the sender client. Then, the sender may select one or more pieces of recipient information from among the pieces of recipient information at the recipient selection page, and then the mail server traverses mailbox folders corresponding to the one or more pieces of recipient information selected by the sender to find target mail from the mailbox folders and delete the target mail in the mailbox folders. Thus, according to the technical scheme of the invention, the condition of mail withdrawal does not limit whether the mail is read, so that the read mail can be withdrawn, and the mail withdrawal can be performed for partial receivers of the target mail.
In addition, according to the technical scheme of the invention, the sender can input withdrawal reason information on the receiver selection page, and the mail server can store the target mail information and the withdrawal reason information in a correlated manner. Thus, the self-defined withdrawal reason is supported, and the user is convenient to inquire about the withdrawal reason of the target mail.
A8, the method of any of A1-A7, wherein the sender client comprises a mail withdraw button; responding to the withdrawal request of the target mail sent by the sender client side, comprising: in response to a revocation request for a target mail sent by a sender client by clicking a mail revocation button.
