Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of magnetic resonance, in particular to a magnetic resonance imaging head radio frequency coil device with conformal capability.
Background
The magnetic resonance imaging is an advanced human body nondestructive imaging technology and is widely applied to diagnosis of diseases of various parts of a human body. The head scanning is an important application field of magnetic resonance imaging scanning, and compared with imaging means such as CT, the magnetic resonance scanning has the advantages of no ionizing radiation, clear imaging, high soft tissue contrast, rich imaging functions, various image sequences and the like.
The magnetic resonance radio frequency coil is an important component of a magnetic resonance imaging system, and the performance of the magnetic resonance radio frequency coil directly determines the quality of magnetic resonance imaging. According to the electromagnetic reciprocity theorem, the closer the radio frequency coil is to the human body, the higher the detection sensitivity is, and the higher the signal-to-noise ratio of an image is, so that it is generally desirable to make the head radio frequency coil smaller and better. However, on the other hand, since the head rf coil is generally of a rigid structure and cannot be deformed, the larger the rf coil is required to be, the better the larger the rf coil is, in view of the large difference in size and shape of the head of a human body. Therefore, generally speaking, the inner diameter of the head portion of the magnetic resonance head radio frequency coil configured by each large magnetic resonance manufacturer along with the system standard is about 23cm, which is usually far greater than the actual size of most human heads, so that the signal-to-noise ratio of head images is not ideal.
In order to solve the problem that the coil is close to the body of a patient as much as possible, many magnetic resonance radio frequency coils are made into a flexible structure, but the flexible coil is usually in a plane structure, so that only the approximately cylindrical human body structures such as knee joints, elbow joints and the like can be wrapped, and for the approximately spherical structure of the head, the flexible coil cannot be well wrapped as patent US8604789B2 because the coil cannot be unfolded into a plane.
Some solutions, such as CN209695187U, divide the head coil into a plurality of relatively movable parts, and move the positions or angles of these movable parts to make them close to the head of the human body, so as to obtain the highest possible image quality. However, these schemes have the disadvantages of complex structure and inconvenient use.

As shown in fig. 1 to 4, a head cover 2 is sleeved on the upper part of the collet 1, and a plurality of radio frequency receiving channels of magnetic resonance receiving coils are uniformly distributed in the collet 1 and the head cover 2, the radio frequency receiving channels in the head cover 2 are connected with the collet 1 through cables, and the radio frequency receiving channels in the collet 1 are connected with a magnetic resonance system through cables; the bottom support 1 is of a rigid structure, and a groove 1-1 is formed in the top of the bottom support 1; the headgear 2 comprises a rigid spherical shell and a flexible mask, and one side of the top of the flexible mask 2-2 is connected with the rigid spherical shell 2-1.
The base 1 comprises a head support and a base, the top of the base 1-3 is connected with the head support 1-2, the base 1-3 and the head support 1-2 are of an integrated structure, and a groove 1-1 which is similar to the shape of a head and is connected with a neck is formed in the top of the head support 1-2.
The rigid spherical shell 2-1 is an arc-shaped rigid shell structure similar to a 1/4 sphere.
The flexible mask 2-2 is folded to form an arch structure, and the flexible mask 2-2 is unfolded to form a U-shaped flexible panel structure; the middle part of the flexible mask 2-2 is respectively provided with eye openings 2-3 and nose and mouth openings 2-4.
The outer side of a cable line connected between the collet 1 and the head sleeve 2 is sleeved with a universal joint 3.
The universal joint 3 is made of several pieces of plastic, and the universal joint 3 is of a hollow structure.
The hollow cavity between the collet 1 and the headgear 2 encloses the head and neck or the head, neck and chest.
The structure of the invention also has another connection mode: the upper part of the bottom support 1 is sleeved with a head cover 2, a plurality of radio frequency receiving channels of magnetic resonance receiving coils are uniformly distributed in the bottom support 1 and the head cover 2, and the radio frequency receiving channels in the head cover 2 and the radio frequency receiving channels in the bottom support 1 are respectively connected with a magnetic resonance system through a cable; the bottom support 1 is of a rigid structure, and a groove 1-1 is formed in the top of the bottom support 1; the headgear 2 comprises a rigid spherical shell and a flexible mask, and one side of the top of the flexible mask 2-2 is connected with the rigid spherical shell 2-1.
The head radio frequency coil consists of an upper part and a lower part, wherein the lower part is an immovable base 1, the base 1 can be divided into two parts, namely a head support 1-2 part and a base 1-3 part, the head support 1-2 is in a concave shape and can support the head and neck of a human body, the head support 1-2 is obviously higher than the base 1-3 part, and the base 1-3 part is contacted with a magnetic resonance sickbed.
The upper half is a movable part and comprises a rigid spherical shell 2-1 and a flexible mask 2-2, and the rigid spherical shell 2-1 and the flexible mask 2-2 are connected into a whole during use. The rigid spherical shell 2-1 is a rigid structure similar to the shape of a 1/4 spherical shell, and the rigid spherical shell 2-1 is wrapped on the forehead of a human body; the flexible mask 2-2 is of a flexible structure, and the flexible mask 2-2 wraps the head top part and the whole face of the human body, including left side face part and left side ear part, and the front face part includes eyes, nose and mouth part, right side face part and right side ear part.
The head support 1-2 part of the bottom support 1, the rigid spherical shell 2-1 and the flexible mask 2-2 are internally and uniformly provided with a plurality of channels or units of the magnetic resonance radio frequency coil. The flexible mask 2-2 has a flexible structure, so that the radio frequency unit circuit inside the flexible mask must be made of a flexible circuit, and the base 1 and the rigid spherical shell 2-1 have a rigid structure, so that the radio frequency unit circuit inside the flexible mask can be made of a rigid circuit or a flexible circuit. It is noted that the flexible channel circuitry inside the flexible mask 2-2 needs to avoid openings in the eye position and in the nose and mouth position.
The flexible mask 2-2 of the movable portion is flexible and may be deployed in a single plane, as shown in fig. 4 after deployment. When in production, the whole planar flexible circuit is packaged in a flexible planar sheath by using hot pressing or foaming and other processes after the planar flexible circuit is manufactured and debugged. The manufacturing and packaging process of the planar flexible circuit is a conventional process for manufacturing the flexible coil at present, so that the planar flexible circuit is very mature, and the design and the production are very simple and convenient.
The upper part of the rigid ball shell 2-1 is composed of an inner container and a shell, and a circuit which is fixedly attached between the inner container and the shell.
After the flexible mask 2-2 is manufactured, the left and right directions are bent with the head and foot directions as axes, and then the upper half is bent, so that the left and right flexible connecting edges are connected and fixed together, and the circuit parts to be connected are connected and fixed together, as shown in fig. 3. And then the component is installed and fixed on the liner of the rigid spherical shell 2-1, and after the related circuits are connected, the outer shell of the rigid spherical shell 2-1 is buckled with the flexible mask 2-2 and the rigid spherical shell 2-1 into a whole along the soft and hard cross line shown in fig. 1.
When the coil is used, as shown in fig. 5 and 6, a human body is laid on a sickbed, the head is placed on the head support 1-2 of the bottom support 1, the movable part is buckled on the forehead and the face of the human body, and eyes, nose and oral cavity parts are exposed. The lower edge of the flexible mask 2-2 is wrapped outside the head rest 1-2, and the upper half part can have a large free adjustment range along the direction of the human body AP because the height of the head rest 1-2 is significantly higher than that of the base part. If the human brain is small, the highly rigid spherical shell 2-1 and the flexible mask 2-2 of the whole movable part can be lowered down, so that the movable part is ensured to be closely attached to the forehead and the face of the human body all the time along the AP direction. If the human brain is large, the movable part of the rigid spherical shell 2-1 and the flexible mask 2-2 can be lifted upwards. Meanwhile, since the flexible mask 2-2 of the movable part is made of a flexible circuit and a flexible package, it occupies most of the whole movable part, so that the distance between the movable part and the left and right sides of the human face can be easily adjusted to be closely attached to the left and right sides of the human face. Meanwhile, the position of the movable part of the coil along the FH direction is regulated, so that the head top part of the movable part can be ensured to be clung to the forehead and the top of the head of a human body. While at the same time the lower part of the head lies in the head rest 1-2 itself, closely combined with the head rest 1-2. Therefore, the radio frequency coil with the structure can tightly wrap the forehead part, the top part and the whole face including the left side face part, the left side ear part, the front face part including the eyes, the nose, the mouth and the like of the human body inside the coil, thereby remarkably improving the signal-to-noise ratio and the image quality of the coil, obtaining great coil applicability and being suitable for almost all patients.
The movable upper half of the coil may be connected to the lower half of the coil using a flexible cable, and then connected to the magnetic resonance system together with the lower half via a cable; the movable upper half part of the coil can also be directly connected to the magnetic resonance system through an independent flexible cable, and the lower half part of the coil is also directly connected to the magnetic resonance system through another cable; when the flexible mask is used, the flexible mask 2-2 at the upper half part has light weight, so that the whole coil can be directly placed on the head of a human body and then is appropriately fixed by means of a binding belt and the like. The upper half part can also be fixed on a lifting mechanical structure, and the position of the upper half part relative to the head of the human body can be adjusted.
The present embodiment also allows the upper and lower coil halves to be secured and connected using a hollow plastic gimbal 3. The universal joint 3 is internally threaded through coaxial and power lines, control lines, etc. for transmitting the rf signals of the upper half, detuning/tuning the voltage and powering the preamplifier. Meanwhile, the universal joint 3 has a self-shaping function, and the plastic universal joint can also support and fix the upper half part of the coil because the upper half part of the coil is of a flexible structure and the whole weight is very light. Before placing a patient, the upper half part of the coil is lifted, the head of the patient is laid on the lower half part of the coil, and then the upper half part of the coil is buckled on the face of the patient, and the patient needs to pay attention to the eyes, the nose, the mouth and the like. After loosening the hands, the upper part of the coil can be fixed at the just-placed position and cannot move due to the supporting and self-setting functions of the universal joint.
