Detailed Description
Reference will now be made in detail to exemplary embodiments, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. When the following description refers to the accompanying drawings, the same numbers in different drawings refer to the same or similar elements, unless otherwise indicated. The embodiments described in the following exemplary embodiments do not represent all embodiments consistent with the present disclosure. Rather, they are merely examples of apparatus and methods consistent with some aspects of the present disclosure as detailed in the accompanying claims.
For example, a folding screen of an electronic device such as a mobile phone has portability in a folding state, and the screen size of the electronic device can be improved in an unfolding state, so that the folding screen has better user experience. In the use process of the foldable electronic equipment, the multi-screen display can improve the display effect, the use intelligence and the user experience of the electronic equipment.
The present disclosure proposes a folding mechanism that cooperates with a folding body of an electronic device to achieve relative folding or unfolding of at least two of the folding bodies. Fig. 1 is one of exploded structural views of a folding mechanism in an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, and as shown in fig. 1, the folding mechanism 1 includes a bracket 11, a display module 12, and a transmission assembly 13. The stand 11 includes an exterior surface 111, the exterior surface 111 is provided with an installation portion 112, and the display module 12 is assembled to the installation portion 112. When the folding mechanism 1 is in the folded state, the display module 12 faces the outside of the electronic device along with the appearance surface 111 of the bracket 11 for realizing the display function. Since the stand 11 of the folding mechanism 1 includes the appearance surface 111, the display module 12 is assembled to the mounting portion 112 provided on the appearance surface 111, and when the folding mechanism 1 is in the folded state, the display module 12 faces the outside of the electronic device along with the appearance surface 111 of the stand 11 for realizing the display function. In an embodiment, the appearance surface 111 may include an arc surface, where the arc surface enables the appearance surface 111 to obtain a 3D stereoscopic appearance effect, and the display module 12 includes an arc outer surface in smooth transition with the arc surface. After the display module 12 is assembled on the mounting portion 112, the edges of the display module 12 and the mounting portion 112 are smoothly transited, the arc-shaped appearance surface of the display module 12 is matched with the 3D stereoscopic appearance effect of the appearance surface 111 to obtain a 3D appearance effect, and the attractiveness of the appearance surface 111 and the display effect of the display module 12 are improved. In another embodiment, the appearance surface 111 may include a flat surface, and the display module 12 includes a flat outer surface flush with the flat surface, so as to obtain an overall flush appearance effect on the appearance surface 111.
The exterior surface 111 may be provided with one, two or more mounting portions 112, which is not limited in this disclosure. The shape of the display module 12 may be rectangular, circular, polygonal or irregular, and the shape of the concave portion may be matched with the shape of the display module 12, which is not limited in the present disclosure.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 2, the display module 12 may include a cover plate layer 121, a display control layer 122 and an adhesive layer 123, where the display control layer 122 and the adhesive layer 123 are disposed on an inner side surface of the cover plate layer 121, and the adhesive layer 123 is fixedly adhered to the mounting portion 112, so as to fix the display module 12 to the bracket 11 through the adhesive layer 123. The adhesive layer 123 may be disposed at an edge area of the cover plate layer 121, so as to avoid display interference of the adhesive layer 123 on the display control layer 122 on the basis of ensuring the connection strength between the display module 12 and the bracket 11.
It should be noted that, the display control layer 122 may be used to implement display and touch control operation functions, so that the display module 12 can be used to display contents such as message contents and notification icons, and also can complete man-machine interaction through touch control operation.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 3, the display module 12 includes a display control layer 122 and an auxiliary flexible circuit board 124 electrically connected to the display control layer 122, and the folding mechanism 1 further includes a switching flexible circuit board 14 electrically connected to a main control circuit board of the electronic device 2, where the switching flexible circuit board 14 is disposed inside the support 11 opposite to the outer surface 111. The adapting flexible circuit board 14 may be fixedly disposed on an inner side surface of the bracket 11 opposite to the appearance surface 111. The mounting portion 112 is provided with through holes communicating both sides of the bracket 11, and one of the relay flexible wiring board 14 and the auxiliary flexible wiring board 124 is electrically connected to the other through the through holes. Through the cooperation of the auxiliary flexible circuit board 124 and the switching flexible circuit board 14, the display module 12 is electrically connected with the main control circuit board of the electronic device 2, so as to be controlled by the main control circuit board to realize touch display. One of the switching flexible wiring board 14 and the auxiliary flexible wiring board 124 passes through the through hole to be electrically connected with the other, the connection structure and the connection line of the flexible wiring board for electrical connection are simplified, and the connection reliability is improved.
In other embodiments, the patch flexible circuit board 14 may be electrically connected to other screens of the electronic device 2, so as to implement the associated display of the display module 12 and the other screens.
In the above embodiment, the appearance surface 111 may be provided with two mounting portions 112, and the through hole is disposed on the side of the mounting portion 112 near the free end of the bracket 11, so as to avoid the structural interference between the auxiliary flexible circuit boards 124 of the two display modules 12 mounted on the two mounting portions 112 and between the adapting flexible circuit boards 14, and optimize the structural layout of the folding mechanism 1.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 1 and 4, the folding mechanism 1 may further include a support structure 15, the stand 11 includes an inner side facing away from the outer surface 111, the support structure 15 is assembled on the inner side, and the transmission assembly 13 is disposed between the support structure 15 and the stand 11. The supporting structure 15 may further fix the structure such as the driving assembly 13 and the adapting flexible circuit board 14, and may also be used to support the flexible screen 26 of the electronic device 2.
In the above embodiment, the transmission assembly 13 may include a gear assembly 132 and a transmission structure 131 drivingly connected to the gear assembly 132. It should be noted that the dimensions of the first folding body 21 and the second folding body 22 may be the same, so that the folding mechanism 1 is located in the middle area of the electronic device 2 to form a symmetrical folding effect. Alternatively, the first folding body 21 and the second folding body 22 may be different in size so that the folding mechanism 1 is located at a position deviated from the middle area of the electronic device 2, resulting in an asymmetric folding effect of the partial structure of the electronic device 2.

It should be noted that, the electronic device 2 may be a mobile phone, a wearable device, a tablet computer, a television, an advertisement screen, a vehicle-mounted terminal, a medical terminal, etc., which is not limited in this disclosure.

The folding mechanism of claim 1, further comprising a transmission assembly assembled to the bracket, the folding body being coupled to the transmission assembly; when the folding mechanism is in a folding state, the transmission assembly is positioned at one side opposite to the appearance surface.
3. The folding mechanism of claim 1, wherein the mounting portion includes a recess provided in the exterior surface, the display module being embedded in the recess.
4. The folding mechanism of claim 1, wherein the exterior surface comprises an arcuate surface and the display module comprises an arcuate exterior surface corresponding to the arcuate surface.
5. The folding mechanism of claim 1, wherein the display module includes a cover sheet layer, a display control layer, and an adhesive layer, the display control layer and the adhesive layer being disposed on an inner side surface of the cover sheet layer, the adhesive layer being fixedly adhered to the mounting portion.
6. The folding mechanism of claim 5, wherein the adhesive layer is disposed at an edge region of the cover sheet layer.
7. The folding mechanism of claim 1, wherein the display module comprises a display control layer and an auxiliary flexible circuit board electrically connected with the display control layer, and further comprising a transfer flexible circuit board electrically connected with a main control circuit board of the electronic device, wherein the transfer flexible circuit board is arranged in the support opposite to the appearance surface;
the mounting part is provided with through holes communicated with two sides of the support, and one of the switching flexible circuit board and the auxiliary flexible circuit board penetrates through the through holes to be connected with the other one in a conductive mode.
8. The folding mechanism of claim 7, wherein the exterior surface is provided with two mounting portions, and the through hole is provided at a side of the mounting portion near the free end of the bracket.
9. The folding mechanism of claim 2, further comprising a support structure, wherein the bracket includes an inner side facing away from the exterior surface, wherein the support structure is assembled to the inner side, and wherein the transmission assembly is disposed between the support structure and the bracket.
10. The folding mechanism of claim 1, wherein the exterior surface is further provided with a functional opening, the functional opening corresponding to a functional module position of the electronic device; the functional module comprises at least one of a microphone module, a loudspeaker module and a lighting module.
11. An electronic device comprising a first folding body, a second folding body, and a folding mechanism according to any one of claims 1-10;
when the first folding main body and the second folding main body are folded relatively, a reserved space is formed at the bending position of the first folding main body and the second folding main body, and the appearance surface of the support is exposed out of the electronic equipment from the reserved space.
12. The electronic device of claim 11, wherein the first folded body comprises a first housing of the electronic device and the second folded body comprises a second housing of the electronic device;
the first shell and/or the second shell is/are provided with a camera module, and the first shell and/or the second shell is/are provided with a screen module.
13. The electronic device of claim 11, wherein the first folded body and the second folded body enclose an interior assembly space when the first folded body and the second folded body are relatively unfolded, the stand being received in the interior assembly space.
14. The electronic device of claim 11, wherein the folding mechanism further comprises a drive assembly coupled to the first folding body and the second folding body, respectively, for driving the relative folding or unfolding of the first folding body and the second folding body;
the first folding body comprises a first side surface, the second folding body comprises a second side surface, and when the first folding body and the second folding body are unfolded relatively, the first side surface and the second side surface are matched to form a first equipment side surface;
the electronic device further includes a flexible screen; the flexible screen is connected with the transmission assembly, and the flexible screen is arranged on the side surface of the second equipment opposite to the side surface of the first equipment.
