Description

Universal device for progressively adjusting the length of a hairstyle
Technical Field
The utility model relates to the field of haircut devices. In more detail, the devices described in detail below are designed to eliminate the use of spacers, which have heretofore been applied to conventional hair trimmer machines to obtain a length of hair being cut. Even more in detail, the utility model is provided by two main embodiments: applications installed on existing hair-clipping machines; hair-cutting machines which have been integrated with all the mechanisms required to achieve the intended purpose.
Background
Haircut is a thing that everyone has to do. Men, and generally those cutting short hair, obviously must cut hair more frequently.
In addition to providing some trimming of the same hair length across the scalp, the hairdresser or stylist must have manual skill to coordinate the different hair lengths according to the area of the head. In fact, so-called "cone" clipping is very popular. In these cuts, the hair length varies from the edge of the scalp toward the center of the head, with the hair being shorter at the beginning of the cut and progressively longer toward the top portion of the head. The properly performed taper is gradual and does not show abrupt lines, which is typically done by a hairdresser in multiple steps.
Heretofore, special hair clipping machines have been used which are provided with a comb having very narrow teeth which untwist the hair before delivering the hair to an electric shaver located at the rear portion of the teeth of the comb. The hair clipping machines described above are then provided with a number of applicators which must be mounted to cover the comb in order to vary the thickness of the comb and thus the distance between the razor and the scalp, and thus the clipping length.
Thus, with modern technology, the hairdresser "per area" cuts hair: first, the area where the cut hair is intended; subsequently changing the comb spacing and trimming a second region having an intermediate length; the distance is then further varied and the applicator can be used to cut hair in a third, longer area of hair. All this has to be done in the shape of the head, thus requiring good manual skills, experience and trimming expertise.
All of the above operations require a significant amount of time consumption, which has not been addressed by the prior art.
Some international patents relate to hair trimming machines. An example of this is patent WO20155393, which claims a pivot so that the head of the razor can be rotated to accommodate the head of a customer.
Another example is chinese utility model CN210551375, which describes a modeler. The machine includes a machine body, an assembly of a front tip and a rear tip. A plurality of cutting apertures may be coupled with the hair cutting blade. A motor for reciprocally actuating the two blades and a switch for controlling the motor are provided on the machine body. The machine body is removably connected to a head cover designed to couple with a head contained in a dedicated kit.
From the above-mentioned patents and the known techniques currently on the market, it seems impossible to avoid the use of removable heads for producing the desired thickness and therefore the different lengths of cut hair.
It is an object of the present utility model to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art by providing a hair cutting device or the use of such a device which allows for a single pass variable length trimming, speeds up the trimming operation to facilitate the trimming operation and eliminates the need for an applied shim.
Disclosure of Invention
According to the present utility model there is provided a versatile device for progressively adjusting the length of a hairstyle which effectively overcomes the above-mentioned problems.
The device of the present utility model is referred to as "universal" in view of its compatibility with the operation of all hair-cutting machines currently on the market.
In particular, the operating mechanism, which will be described in detail below, may be comprised in a kit adapted to existing hair-cutting machines, or alternatively it may be fully integrated in a specially designed machine.
The main function of the device is to allow progressive hairstyle adjustment in order to obtain a shorter hairstyle at the base of the head and a longer hairstyle at the top part, thus obtaining an effect called "conicity" in technical terms. Progressive adjustment is automatic and it avoids the need for multiple uses of fixed spacers for fixation and removal during the same trimming process, as well as positive results of trimming as an effect related to the hairdresser-salon skill.
These objects are achieved by the following components:
a spring cable winder, located inside or outside the body of the hair-cutting machine, capable of automatically rewinding the cable (which is preferably made of steel wire) each time the user pulls the cable;
-at least one gripping device located at the free end of the cable, adapted to allow a user to stretch the cable. In more detail, when the machine is in use, the gripping means must be positioned in a fixed manner with respect to the head of the user whose hair is to be cut. Such a clamping device may consist of a ring, which the hairdresser wears on his fingers and places his hands on the shoulders of the user, the hairdresser will start to move the hair trimming machine vertically, thus determining the unwinding of the cable when the machine is moved upwards and the subsequent winding of the cable when the machine is moved downwards. Alternatively, the clamping means is an anchor, inverted T, conical or magnetic means or any other means suitable for the purpose;
-at least one movement mechanism within the hair-cutting machine adapted to determine a translation of an adjustable spacer arranged on the head of the hair-cutting machine with respect to the machine in an axial (and/or vertical) direction due to a rotation of the cable winder. In more detail, the adjustable spacer moves away from the trimming blade of the hair trimming machine when the cable is stretched and thus deployed. When the machine moves down, the cable loses tension, the cable winder again rewinds the cable, and the spacer again approaches the trimming blade and returns to the original position.
The components described hereinbefore have allowed the achievement of the objects of the utility model. However, provided herein is a more detailed description of other elements of the present utility model that allow custom trimming ("progressively shortening") according to the shape of the user's head, their hair and hairstyle tastes.
An actuation button connected to the translation mechanism allows the hairdresser-salesman to advantageously reversibly connect and disconnect the linkage connecting the cord winder to the adjustable spacer. Upon breaking the two parts, the cable can be stretched freely and without any effect on the adjustable spacer. This allows the hairdresser-salon to first choose a fixation point on which to tighten the clamping means and move the hair-clipping machine vertically upwards to a hair attachment level where the spacer will still be at zero distance, i.e. attached to the clipping blade. If the aim is to start cutting from a thickness of hair equal to zero, the hairdresser can therefore press the start button at a distance of "zero height", i.e. the distance between the head of the hair cutting machine and the fixed point of the clamping device, at which distance the length of hair is cut to 0.
From zero height upwards, that is to say by moving the hair-cutting machine upwards, the mechanism of the present utility model will start to operate to ensure that the adjustable spacer progressively moves away from the cutting blade as the hair-cutting machine is raised towards the top portion of the user's head, so that longer cuts are performed on encountered hair, thus achieving a "tapering" cut in a single pass.
The so-called "taper height" is another customizable aspect of the taper. In the case of "high taper", the length of the hair is very small for larger head heights, ending with longer lengths nearer the top portion of the head. Conversely, a low taper (low taper) has a faster progression, leaving longer hair at a lower head height.
To also automatically adjust this aspect, the utility model further includes a decelerator engaged with the cable winder and the adjustable spacer. Similar to an automotive gearbox, the speed reducer comprises a predetermined number of gears adapted to determine the horizontal translation distance of the head of the hair-cutting machine after vertical displacement. By means of an adjusting lever connected to the decelerator, the hairdresser-salon can adjust the desired translation/winding ratio.
Advantageously, on the proximal side of the adjustment bar, a graduated scale is preferably shown, suitable for guiding the hairdresser to correctly position the adjustment bar according to the desired trimming progress.
Finally, it should be noted that for achieving the object of the utility model, it is preferred that the clamping means, the cable and the cable winder are mounted at the head of the hair-cutting machine.
The advantages offered by the present utility model will be apparent from the description set forth herein, and will be further elucidated by way of the drawings and the detailed description thereof.
Drawings
The utility model will be described hereinafter in at least one preferred embodiment by way of non-limiting examples and with the aid of the accompanying drawings, in which:
fig. 1 schematically shows an existing hair-cutting machine 10 to which the device of the utility model is applied in order to automatically determine the displacement of the adjustable spacer 13 according to the direction of the arrow after a movement of the head 11 of the hair-cutting machine 10 relative to a fixed point that is constrained to the clamping device 22.
Fig. 2 shows a decelerator integrated in the hair-cutting machine 10 to determine the adjustment of the travel distance of the adjustable spacer 13 when the cable 21 is pulled.
Detailed Description
The present utility model will now be described, by way of non-limiting or restrictive example, with reference to the accompanying drawings, which illustrate some embodiments related to the inventive concept.
Referring to fig. 1, there is shown the appearance of a hair trimming machine 10 of a known type, however, which is implemented using the technical components of the present utility model, so as to allow a user-of a hairclipper of such a machine 10 to perform a "taper" in a single pass on the user's head.
The figure shows the main body of a machine 10 consisting of a handle and a head 11. The trimming blade 12 is located behind an adjustable spacer 13 which, unlike the conventional hair trimming machine 10, is capable of moving automatically and progressively, rather than manually.
At the head 11 a cable winder 10 is seen from which a wire 21 extends, with a loop 22 at the end of the wire.
On the back of the handle of the hair-clipping machine 10 there is an actuation button 23 and an adjustment bar 25.
The hairdresser wears the ring 22 on his finger and places his hand on the shoulder of the user whose hair is to be cut. The barber then adjusts the height of the taper by moving the adjustment lever 25.
In fact, the adjustment lever 25 is used to change the ratio between the horizontal movement (in the direction of the normal to the head of the user whose hair is to be cut) of the adjustable spacer 13 and the vertical movement of the hair-cutting machine 10. This vertical movement results in the unwinding (upward movement) of the cable 21, while the winding of the cable is a signal of the downward movement of the hair-cutting machine 10.
For example, if the hairdresser wants the cable 21 to be unwound per cm to correspond to a horizontal movement of 3 mm. The clipper begins to move the hair-cutting machine 10 away from the point of the constraint ring 22, which remains stationary throughout the cutting process.
Initially, nothing moves because the adjustable spacer 13 is disconnected from the lever system that connects the adjustable spacer to the movement of the cable winder 20.
At the level at which the hairdresser decides to perform the trimming, he/she presses the start button 23, which activates the translation mechanism that connects the cord winder 20 with the adjustable spacer 13.
In this regard, taper trimming (taper cut) is very simple; all parameters are set so that the clipper obtains cuts of different lengths in a single pass over the head in a uniform manner at each height by raising and lowering the hair cutting machine 10 over the user's skin.
Finally, it is clear that modifications, additions or variations of the utility model as previously described may be made to those skilled in the art without departing from the scope of protection provided by the accompanying claims.
